September 2016 Trip Thread!!!!

The tour tickets go on sale tomorrow and there is virtually nothing posted about it. I used to complain about having to plan everything in advance at WDW but at least you know what the heck is going on so you can make plans. Not everyone lives in CA.

Just a quick question, all the reports i'm reading are saying PTN, DLF and WOC celebrate are going down after September 5th but on the DL website, WOC is still showing for dates later in September as WOC Celebrate! Not the old version, is this a mistake or will Celebrate stay longer? I'd really love to see it and am there September 17-22
Tia! :)

So, after reading reviews of our original motel (Anaheim Plaza Hotel and Suites) and discovering that not only do they charge $10USD per day for wifi but the wifi is pretty terrible along with the mediocre reviews, I decided to switch to our favourite standby, the Desert Inn & Suites. I called the hotel directly and asked about returning guest rates and got 2 Queen room for $89/night for the first two nights and $109/night for the last two! Their wifi is fantastic and even though their breakfast is not the best, it is better than the nothing that the Plaza hotel had!

I had booked our flights and hotel as a package through Expedia and was able to cancel the hotel portion with not problems at all!

So, now there is really nothing to do but wait (im)patiently for the 17th!

Has anyone heard anything about a replacement for Jammin' on the Backlot?

Looks like DCA entertainment schedule after Labor Day is finally available. Pixar Play, Disney Jr, and Frozen Live are all on the calendar.

Good morning. Where on the site are you finding this? I am on the site and every last one of those events schedule unavailable.

Yes, I got it off the Canadian calendar, which appears to update sooner than the US version. It's yet to have steered me wrong.

Wow. I find it interesting that it shows up on the Canadian calendar first. The crazy thing is I live in California. LOL

How likely is a refurbishment schedule updated/shortened? Ariel's is closed the entire time we are there 9/20 thru 9/23. DD4 will be devastated.....

So excited! Just booked a trip for DD19 and I for Sept 8 through 11. I know several things are ending on Sept 5., but hoping for lower crowds. It's just the two of us this time, which will be really special for us!

How exciting! You are going to hit the very start of the Hallowe'en celebrations!

Since this is our 10th Disneyland visit, we have all (me, DH and DS) agreed that we are going to try and ride every single attraction that is open...even the ones we are not that fond of! DS and I hate Splash, DH and DS are not fans of ToT and I am terrified of California Screamin' but we are going to see if we can do it!

We only have 3 1/2 days at the parks but with the exception of doing the WoC dessert party, we are not planning on seeing any of the shows.

Anyone tried something like this? Are we insane or is this doable? Am I really going to have to ride Autopia again???

Doesn't look like I've checked in here yet. Going September 7-12, staying across the street at the Courtyard Marriott. Celebrating our 5th Anniversary, my 18-month-old daughter's first trip, and have my wife's parents and sister with us.

I'm pretty excited that it looks like The Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain are only down our first day ... last time HM was closed for the Nightmare Before Christmas overlay our entire trip, and Space Mountain was only open the first day. Looks like they're switching things up early this year, and we'll get to see the Halloween stuff, which is great. Bummed about Paint the Night, but glad there will be fireworks of any kind on the weekend. We've got our anniversary dinner booked for the Napa Rose Chef's Counter, World of Color Dessert Party reserved and paid for, and breakfast with Minnie & Friends at the Plaza Inn our last morning. And we'll schlep up to LA to visit Hogwarts on Saturday. Should be a great trip!

Decided to take advantage of the Labor Day weekend since both hubby and I are off. A friend of mine will be in town for the marathon so hoping to see her too!

Snagged the 30% AP rate at HOJO ( yay Wyndham points) , decided to do the Frozen Pre-package and lunch on Saturday Sept. 3rd since it's a favorite show and the package may be ending in addition to a possibly hot and busy weekend.
Also got Blue Bayou reservations for Sunday the 4th for 5pm ( will be our anniversary dinner - Aug. 21st is the actual date).

We expect very high crowds but staying so close and being AP holders has it's advantages. :)
