Hi Everyone,

I have a trip booked in the middle of September this year and we selected the dates based on the history of crowds and what rides are closed for refurbs and repairs each year (Haunted Mansion's Halloween overlay, for example). I was checking a page here and it noted that Pirates and California Screaming' would be down however, I can't find any other sites noting the closures of these rides. Has anyone heard of these or any other rides being down in September?

Thank you in advance.

I don't know who authored that schedule, but it appears to have several obvious mistakes, like the name of the Fireworks show, the timing of the new Paint The Night parade, and a bizzare Extra Magic Hour in the middle of the day. So I wouldn't exactly trust it. I am going in early Sept. too, and the only thing I heard is that the Haunted Mansion will already be down for it's Halloween transformation. Here is an interesting question, has Radiator Springs Racers ever gone down for refurbishment yet? And would they do one until they get Luigi's replacement done? I am bringing serious Cars fans and it would be sad if they couldn't enjoy it!!

Yes, RSR got an annual 4 day refurb in 2013. And if it needed it again I don't think they would delay until the new ride is in place, that's sounds incredibly unsafe.

May is way too early for September refurbs. Those will be released 3-4 weeks ahead and subject to change even after that.

The wdwinfo site is the DISboards' parent website. There is no actual information for September 2015 yet, so that information (such as the name of the parade, etc.) is outdated and will be filled in/corrected as more information comes in. As SMD said, May is way too early for September refurbs -- or even for September information, really.

If you want to get a sense of what the hours were like in September last year, I would simply pull up the 2014 version of the wdwinfo calendar instead -- although, at this early stage of the game, we don't even know if 2014's hours will be applicable/identical in 2015.

Thanks for the help. Looking like a great year ahead.

We looked at previous dates for when Haunted Mansion reopens for the holiday overlay and booked according to that. So hopefully it'll be open.

I wonder if the Hatbox Ghost gets a holiday update for the season.
