September 2015 - Checkin Thread

I am starting to panic a little. I have two weeks to go before I leave for the first leg of my journey and I have no idea how I will get everything done that needs to be taken care off before.

I'm the same way. But try not to worry too much. EVERYTHING does't have to be done before you leave. I left things undone before my June vacation, and I was totally ok with that! :)

Will be there in 10 days. Had a total knee replacement that is not allowing me to walk far or stand for long. Plan on using crutches and renting a standard wheelchair when needed. The electric scooters are too expensive.

I wish I could say the same. I am missing the end of quarter at work as I have added a WDW vacation at the end of my Disneyland vacation so I have to make sure that everything is done so that the person looking after my team just has to print everything off and hand it in.

If you rent from an offsite company it is much much cheaper! AND you can use it from your hotel to the parks and in DTD, which you cannot do with Disney rentals. For 4 days I am paying just a bit over what Disney would charge for 2 days for an ECV.

I'm kind of experiencing the same panic... I have to have ALL of my work done, for the time I will be gone, prior to leaving. Plus trying to get my daughter's homeschooling done ahead as much as we can. But, it will all be worth it!

I would rent an ecv. I had foot surgery before a trip in dec. 2013 at WDW and was cleared to walk, but would have never made it. I did the main distances on the ecv and went on foot/crutches for short distances. But, I would have never made all of the walking without it. It is not worth making your leg worse. I pushed too much after that trip and wound up with messed up feet for two years. I am finally mostly able to walk and run again. Be careful enough and take care of it!

Definitely, if I go, I'll rent an ECV. What I haven't decided is if I'll move the trip or not. In addition to my injury, there was a death in the family this week, and we're anticipating another next week.

Well it's Thursday morning here which means it's only 2 more sleeps until we leave for Disneyland! Oh I am not looking forward to it lol! We have an 8 hour flight from Perth to HongKong at midnight and then we have to run to get our 15 hour flight from HongKong to LAX. We should touch down in LA at 7.30 Sunday morning :D

We are guessing ( after last time ) that we will reach DLH by 11am. We'll check in, drop our bags, exchange our voucher for hoppers and then head to DL and exchange our PP+ voucher. Grab some lunch and then try and ride Pirates a couple of times as it's down for refurb the next day.

Stagger back to the hotel around 6, grab dinner and then pass out from travel exhaustion and jet lag lol.

I am so excited to get back to America! My teen DD is even more excited. Ever since she was a little girl she has LOVED LA. It's her dream to move there one day :)

I'm sorry for your loss.

We leave Sunday morning, I am all packed and have my Minnie ears ready. So glad the temps will cool down next week.
