Been and gone and back home - only just willing to admit it is all over! I had a blast. I went 7-11 September, and the longest line I stood in all week was 45 minutes at 3:00 pm on my first day at the ticket booth exchanging my voucher! Even though Monday was labor day, getting there a little later meant the crowds weren't too bad (I had flown in that morning and had a few hours sleep first). I used single rider a lot, and only pulled one fast pass the week I was there - one of the advantages of being by myself. Another advantage was single-rider - often had CM's waving to me to rush through the cue so they could put me onto the ride. Rode RSR back to back on single rider, only waited the amount of time it took to walk back through the queue. Stayed to midnight closing on the Monday, and closing every other day except Tuesday when I was not too sensible with the heat and pushed myself a little too far. Probably the worst for crowds was Thursday night as DL closed early for the cast party, and CA was really busy.
I did Fantasmic! dining package at BB on Monday, Walk in Walt's Footsteps on the Wednesday, and got extremely lucky on Thursday and got to ride the Lilly Belle with an off-duty train engineer who was there with his family and offered to take a group on. He went into tour-guide mode and talked the entire way around the loop. I even managed to be in the very first car on Space Mountain: Ghost Galaxy on Friday, and had also done Haunted Mansion Holiday by 9:30 am.The only things I didn't ride were the Monorail (too hot to operate all week), any of the spinny rides (teacups, silly-symphony swings - can't do these type anymore), and the thread on the Wheel of Death scared me off the Fun Wheel!
I went hard all week, plus the jet-lag after flying back to Australia means I'm still really tired, but I wouldn't change a thing if I got the chance to do it all again!
