Any idea why, on Sunday 9/20, DL opens an hour after DCA? (DL opens at 9:00 and DCA normal opening is at 8:00, with 7:00 EMH). The Sundays before (9/13) and after (9/27) both parks open at 8:00.

That is strange. Has anyone figured it out?

I am supposed to be there Sept. 19-22 staying at the Carousel. But I have a severe case of tendinitis, and I am on crutches for the foreseeable future. The idea of Disney on crutches does not sound like fun so I haven't decided if I'm going to rent an ECV or move the trip.

I am starting to panic a little. I have two weeks to go before I leave for the first leg of my journey and I have no idea how I will get everything done that needs to be taken care off before.

SO looking forward to this trip! A little over 9 days to go.
I got our Dapper Outfits all settled, bought a Disney Gift Card for our meals/spending money.
Only thing left to do is print our Itinerary and pack, which I will do the day before.

Leaving on Saturday!!! We moved the trip up a day just to ride pirates since it will be closed starting the 14th according to the website...oh and to make sure I have a spot at espn zone to watch my Broncos at 1pm lol

Where is the list of the closures/rehabs? I am curious as to the re-opening date of Pirates...

If you go to park hours it usually says what's closed at the bottom of the page for your selected day

Gosh, I hadn't planned to go that day but might have to now! Hate to miss Pirates...my sister has never been to DL and I want her to see it!

That's just it. I haven't been since 2001 and my wife and son have never been...he's 2 so Idk how much he's going to enjoy pirates but we have to go lol

OH, here's just a random tip: If Indy's wait is less than about 30 minutes, don't bother getting a Fastpass. You LITERALLY get no benefit from it. I felt kinda cheated.

That is pretty much the case with any of the FP attractions, if the standby wait is 30 minutes or less, just go for it.
We returned home from our trip on Monday and had a fantastic time, not too many meltdowns from our 7 and 6 year old grandkids! DW and I are READY TO GO BACK!!!...However, our bank account says otherwise. Have Magical Time for everyone who is going the rest of the month!

Two weeks from tomorrow I will be on a plane with DD7 heading to LAX and then Disneyland! I cannot wait!!!! I am a little nervous about navigting around LA, Anahiem, San Juan Capistrano and Temecula on my own, but with my Waze app I should be good to go.

I would rent an ecv. I had foot surgery before a trip in dec. 2013 at WDW and was cleared to walk, but would have never made it. I did the main distances on the ecv and went on foot/crutches for short distances. But, I would have never made all of the walking without it. It is not worth making your leg worse. I pushed too much after that trip and wound up with messed up feet for two years. I am finally mostly able to walk and run again. Be careful enough and take care of it!

2 weeks for us! It is my first adults only trip with a friend. we were not planning on going to the MHP on the 25th, but now that they released the Mystical Spirits Dining Event....I am kicking myself.
