September 2012

All our accomodation is locked and paid for, so too flights. I bought the four day DCL passes before the price rise last week (remember DH only wanted 2 days and I talked him to three and managed to browbeat him to four days). Waiting for Smart Destinations to have another sale to get the five day San Diego passes, I missed out last week. We are booking or Wonder excursions privately if we can, save on the bucks. As for dinners, we'll take it as we come as we are huge ethic food fans so want authentic Mexican places, great Indian resturants and the Tip Top Deli in Carlsbad (mainly for my salami obsessed son). Still need to do the rental car thing, DH is in charge of it and it's dragging on - knowing our luck he'll leave it so late we'll only be able to get a herd of donkeys. :rolleyes2

Try Alamo for cars and register first as a member ( free) for a10% off deal. If you have a visa card try this too for an excellent special on top

I have used them before and found them reliable and good value.

Still paying WDW package but getting there :thumbsup2
We'll be in NYC for 4 nights and have nothing planned for sleeping or eating or anything LOL
The flying to LA, staying one night at LAX as we're getting a late flight, nothing in concrete yete
Then 3 nights at Fairfield Inn Anaheim for Disneyland :cheer2:

Will be trying for baseball tickets at some stage, and I know we'll be doing some/alot of shopping

Thank you kindly, we use a visa as well so I'll get DH to get on the Alamo system and have a play. He's in the middle of throwing paint around the kitchen today muttering to himself. I'd like to book the car myself but it's his 'thing' and he'd moan if I got one detail wrong.

Well... Flights are paid for, as well as 14 day DL parkhoppers. I also phoned our US travel agent and paid the balance of our cruise yesterday, can't stand watching the aussie dollar sink lower and lower so thought I might as well get that out of the way.

Our accommodation in Long Beach (Hotel Maya)prior to cruise is booked, Hollywood Orchid Suites after cruise is all taken care of and Sand Pebbles Inn at Cambria is booked (near Hearst Castle).

I've also booked 6 nights GCH concierge and then 5 nights Hojo to finish our big adventure. Hire car booked thru Traveljigsaw to pick up after cruise and keep until we get to Anaheim.

Still to do: book flight for DH to go to Cleveland for a couple of days to see Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, hire car for last few days in Anaheim for shopping, beach sightseeing, etc. Need to decide on port excursions on cruise. Oh, also lose about 10kg:laughing:

Sure, $375 per night. Sounds like a lot but my brother hooked me up with a great convention rate ( I will have to buy him some Mickey Ears). I believe it usually can run to about $500-600 for concierge!!

Great to see everyone getting organised. Just the wait til Sept now!

I have booked airfares, awesome deal at travel expo, accommodation( also waiting for DLH to have a special!) car hire through travel jigsaw and got our 6 day park hoppers just before the prices went up. CBA card loaded with money and have cash stashed away too. Mght still need to exchange more, but will wait for that wretched dollar to rise! IT IS going to rise!

Need to do ESTA & transfer from LAX. Book character dining and BBB as well as dinner at the AG store.

Been making lists upon lists of things to take or buy. Been buying small surprises when I see things for the girls on the plane, mainly the 4yr old. It's going to be interesting to see how she goes.

It's going to be my first trip to Disneyland, something I've dreamt about since I saw a super8 film on It's a small world my manna bought home when I was about 2! I think I'm seriously going to have a ittle cry when I get there and pass through those gates!

I hear you, we are travelling with a couple of near five year old boys. Could be a very long flight or one that they actually decide to sleep through. I'm taking them out all day before the night flight and letting them run around like mad - working on the exhaustion theory.

all the things i want to do are on a list......I am gradually culling them as we need to sleep sometime while we are there....

have just booked
Segway tour around EPCOT
Wild by design tour at AK

need to book
MNSHHP
Shore excursions

still re jigging the dining...cant seem to leave it alone :confused3

With only 37 days to go:eek: i feel like i am getting somewhere:rotfl2:
Yesterday i paid for 2 nights in Vegas save $70 on what i had it booked for :woohoo:
Booked and paid for 3 nights in Dallas at the start of the trip need to book 3 nights before DH gets there as well.
I still need to book car hire in NY and WDW, car hire for the majority of the trip comes out next week buy 4 DL passes and pay $8000 of WDW package oh and somewhere in there some spending money would be nice:eek:

On a good note DH got a $2.42 an hour pay rise yesterday effective immediately perfect timing:woohoo:

I had no idea they had a segway tour, definitely booking that one on our trip.
It's a shame it's only 16 and up, we went to a wildlife sanctuary for a segway tour and I'd never seen my 12-year-old sister so happy to be learning about animal keeping.
(That is, assuming she was even listening to the guide)

Not really related to our September trip, but still Disney, the kids were very excited today when 4 tickets to Disney On Ice turned up in the mail courtesy of a competition in the local paper. We've been a few times before but I said no to buying tickets this year due to saving for the real thing, but happy to have tickets for free. My husband will be taking the kids as I'll be working (he is not overly thrilled but he already has the day off), just have to make sure he doesn't blow too much money on overpriced merchandise and food, I'd rather spend the money on merchandise and food at DL! (which I think is much better priced than the ripoffs I've seen at the other Disney on Ice shows).
