Wilderness Lodge Villas - sept 17th to 28th

We are really excited to go to WIzarding World Harry Potter - rent a car or take a meers shuttle?? Or shoukd we try and book a night there to get early entry?

All dining booked now and flights/accomodation booked - now just need to pay it off... Come on 138 days - i want to go now!!!

hey...
looking at your "cast members" it may be better to rent a van (cheaper..much cheaper) even with hiring a car seat and parking....plus you get to have extra clothes/nappy bag/ snacks etc in the van to go to during the day rather than lugging it with you.....:smokin::moped::artist:

so happy re price...hotels.com

its 2.22 am and minnie and I cant sleep, too much flu meds I think :surfweb:

BTW...had GS watching undiscovered Disney tonight & Disney cruise line DVD, he's 5..told him when he's 8 he'll get to go to WDW & Disney cruise...he is a train / boat freak..so indoctrinating them early.
Convinced son that taking them one at a time at 8yrs is the way to go, special trip for each one..of course son has to come ......then DH & I can send them home early and continue on for a week or 2 on our own....

Great accom rates, what site? ;)

You been taking your vitamins? You might need some to overcome this flu, it's been here too long :worried:

Your GS will love DW, tell your DS to start saving :thumbsup2

I've been looking on Webjet at accom, got a great deal on there :thumbsup2 but I am always a bit scared that something will fall thru/go wrong (pessimist much?)

www.hotels.com

just check the other sites to compare and then have a look...pay up front but have a cancellation policy (24 hrs)

GS & DS will possibly travel on our dime, so need to budget for that :scared1:

trying to take everything i can get my hands on, but just cant shake this

AustralianKaren - you've been ill over a week now, can you get to the Doc to get a check? Maybe you need abs if it's treatable by abs. You must feel completely worn thru by now.

You are an awesome grandmother - can I adopt you for our kids? My mother is slack as, she even keeps the kids b/day presents she buys for herself (not kidding).

Okay people enlighten me, what are ADRs and do I need to do them and how do I go about it? (we are staying offsite)

ADR's are Advance Dining Reservations for Disney restaurants. They are extremely important to do when visiting WDW especially when Free Dining is out however not so crucial for DL. But, if you want a character meal booking or perhaps one at Blue Bayou for example, you would want to book in advance and therefore you'd be making an ADR :)

Ah okay, we are at DL and then on a Disney Cruise - so plenty of character meets on the cruise. I'll have to look at all the resturants at DL I guess, work out if there's anywhere that looks really good to eat with the kids. Thank you!

Finally booked flights on Monday and of course had to tweak the dates. Worst part was I'd already done our ADR's from Sept 17 - Oct 1.

Our new dates are Sept 11 - Sept 27 POFQ.

Just thinking about altering ADR's had me break into a cold sweat and give me heart palpitations. Only missed on T-Rex in the end!

hey,we do what we have to do....& thank god we built a large 4 bedroom home 7 years ago..we have the space...

they all lived in Canberra til a yr ago so we hardly ever saw them, but now we are making up for it.....crazy days indeed...

as for my flu, I have now passed it on to DH & DS.....but still have it myself...:sick:but back to work monday even if it kills me

bump

so how are every ones plans going.....

mine are locked in and all i have to do is wait:goodvibes

Most of our major stuff is done - airfares, hotel has been booked for ages (now hoping for DLR to bring out discounts so I can change it to a reduced rate), Lux Bus and hotel booked for our one night in Las Vegas, AP's and kids's 14 day passes purchased, and basic daily plan has been done.

All the stuff I have left to do it's still too early for - I need to book Halloween party tickets, Fantasmic dessert packages, and dining. Also I'm not putting too much thought into a touring plan until I see how Carsland is going to affect everything.

Oh, also have to finish my son's passport application and make an appointment, just a minor detail!

We are all sorted except for food. I want to plan our New York meals a little better and I have to book dinner for our first night at Disneyland. Otherwise ready to go!

For WDW - I've paid off the package for the YC and tickets but I haven't added the dining plan yet. I've made my ADRs too. :thumbsup2

And I gave in to my impulses and went to the bank to get some US$$s yesterday - the rate is now bound to improve! :rotfl2:

I've booked hotels in Miami, Key West, Savannah, Memphis. New Orleans, Houston, San Antonio, Big Bend National Park (TX) , Tucson and Las Vegas but I'm still dithering about hotel choices for Los Angeles and Natchez. There are a few segments of the trip where we don't really know how far we'll get "that day" so I'm not prebooking those nights - we'll just look around for a nice Hampton Inn or Holiday Inn :)

Just wondering, has anyone here done the "Lunch with an Astronaut" at NASA Cape Canaveral? We didn't do it when we went there but we have the opportunity to do it at NASA Space Centre in Houston. I'm just wondering if it's worth the $$s ?? :scratchin I'd like to book that in advance if it's a good idea.

Andona

great to hear everyone is sorted...

i did forget i havent bought AP, MNSSHP tickets, Dining plan, shore excursions..:rotfl2:

or soccer tickets for 6th Oct in LA....:crazy2:

apart from that, we are sorted:rotfl:
