September 2012 code watch!

Just posting a 'hello':) I just found these boards a few days ago and my family is hoping to go to WDW for our first trip in Sept. 2012. We are 2 adults/3 dc/1 baby. Seems like there aren't a lot of good options for us but if Disney will give FD for Sept., we'd consider staying onsite rather than off. There are just so many more options for better prices off. But, my family would prefer our first trip to be all Disney, all the time  So, come on, FD for Sept :cool1: I'll be watching this thread!

just called to see if i had a pin and no dice. how long should i wait to call back?? the first cast member i talked to was miserable so i said thank you, hung up and called back. the second was much nicer and even though she gave me the same results she did say that sometimes calling will trigger a pin to be mailed and to check my e-mail.

I called last night and spoke to the nicest CM ever. She was so kind. She checked to see if I had any pins, and we were joking around, and she said "I wish there was a magic button to give you free dining. I like you" As such, I am bummed there is no magic button, but its Disney she can shed some pixie dust maybe????

i'm just curious... when you call to check for a pin... what do you say?
do you just call the regular 407-w-disney number?:confused3

i really want to call to get the info about it, but i don't want to sound like i have no clue what i'm talking about!! haha

okay! I just called and spoke with such a sweet lady :)

anyways, she said she isn't showing anything for that far out yet. but she said to definitely call back in a couple weeks.
so i'm guessing that means they're releasing new offers around that time.

i always get bummed when they don't tell me to have a magical day when i call, though. :(

i called twice last night. first time i talked to the dumbest cast member ever who clearly hated her job. When she said i had no pins under my name i asked her if she knew when the next promotion was gonna be released and she told me they only release them 4 times a year, so another one wouldn't be released until summer......:headache: so not only did she hate her job she didn't know how to do it.

I called a few days ago and asked if there was a pin code on my name and I HAVE ONE!! It is a free dining promotion to go up until June 30th. We are looking to go in Sept :sad1::sad:

.... so I will just keep waiting!!! :snail:

I just called up and said "I am calling to see if I have any pins associated with my name".

I actually do have a reservation for September that I booked a couple of weeks ago. I need to call them with a couple of questions/requests this weekend. Will they automatically let me know if I have any kind of pin associated with my name or do I have to ask? Also, if I do already have a reservation, could I still get a pin? I did all the things I read on this forum, ordered the dvd and maps and I have another saved phantom reservation. Thanks!!

you'll have to ask if there are any pins or discounts that can be applied to your reservation

just came home to the mail and a pin for stayplaydine, but the separate reservation desk for sporting events gave me a better price so i booked POR for 9/28-oct 3rd with dining and 4-day hoppers. i registered wife and i feb 14th for the tower of terror 10 miler.

I have yet to call that reservation line... was the ToT 10miler discount a good one then? Better than FD would be? Also.. and I don't know if you know this... but if I book through that sporting event reservation desk... and then fd does come out (and assuming fd is a better discount)... will I be unable to just switch the discount to fd or do I have to completely cancel and rebook since d through a different desk?

TIA:goodvibes

about $200 cheaper even after upgrading the quick service to the regular dining plan.

Thanks for responding...

So.. $200 cheaper than if you booked rack with no other discount or $200 cheaper than if you booked with the discount you mentioned?

I need to call and get a quote....

jet blue released their rated through september and now i gotta re-think my dates due to cost. if they go up before disney announces a discount for september ill just die

my best quote with pins was 2800 before i called the marathon rezzy desk, which was 2600. it was around $200 to enter the race for 2 people also.

can he get me a better price, because unless rates go down i may have to look into other airlines

Just throwing my 2 cents in there but out of all the airlines that fly from Newark to Orlando. Jet Blue always comes in cheaper. Pus you get your 1st checked bag free. Not sure what airport you fly out from but as i checked into a few dates in Sept this morning going Jet Blue, Continental, and south west, Jet Blue was the cheapest.

:thumbsup2 I kinda figured the discount covered the cost of the race for two people.

Thanks so much for the info!!!!
