September 2011 - We are going to Disney World {THIS MONTH}! (Third Thread)

Just pre-ordered our Photopass CD! Yet another thing checked off the list! Heading off to bed in a few, DS went to sleep really early tonight, which means a nice early morning for me :rotfl: C'mon friday!! :woohoo:

I'm about to do this exact thing. it's pretty much my last task I need to get done before we leave.

If your FIL can't go and your MIL is going and on the DVC contract she should be able to check in. To be safe call MS and ask. If nether are going then your FIL should be able to change it to a guest ressie with your names on it. We are tenatively planing RD on 10/1 at MK. It's DH's BD although he is a little older than the MK.:cake:

Just call ahead. If mil isn't going, have them change the rezzie prior to arrival. Have a wonderful time with whoever.

Oh good thanks so much for the info. I wasn't sure if they could change the name on the reservation or not. I'm sure it's not even going to be a problem. He said as long as he is physically capable he is coming to Disney even if he has to just hang out at the room and rest the whole time. He doesn't want to miss the grandkids :)

It can be done anytime before your arrival date for the $99.

Thanks for the link. I was just about to start a search on the Dis to find it so I could pre order today lol so convenient

Good morning everyone! I'm feeling the excitement of all of you who are down to your last days! I just looked through all my photos and it was so fun to relive our trip! When I figure out how to post photos, I'll add some here, including the t-shirts for MNSSHP. :goodvibes

Sorahana: How exciting to be getting married AND going to Disney! Congrats and have a magical trip!:bride:

Thanks for all the congrats for our new granddaughter.:cloud9: Will be leaving on Friday to spend a couple of weeks helping out (they live in Virginia).

Hope all the sickies are getting better!

Good Morning Everyone! Love all the excitement about going and pre-ordering the CD. I ordered mine weeks ago...I am kinda anal organized though right now with 3 days till I head to detroit to fly out, I am feeling a little anxious like I am forgetting something. And Robin(disneydiva) isn't helping...:lmao: She's worried about forgetting something so now I am too. :confused3 I am getting little things done today for the gifts we are exchanging with our grand gathering.

Today DD has dance, Tomorrow I get my hair cut and my friend and I go to get Pedi's, DD's have gymnastics for 2 1/2 hours, then Thursday girls go for flu shots(I have to wait till we return since I have been on antibiotics) DD has 2 1/2 hours of dance, and then clean house, dentist on friday and pick up girls from school and off to detroit for the night and fly out sat morning...yeah it's finally getting CLOSE!!!!!!:yay:

Just a quick check in....we got here yesterday afternoon and everything went smoothly. Went to MK for the Wishes dessert party last night and loved it! Couldn't eat our money's worth in desserts, but the private viewing area was worth it for sure. Tinkerbell flew right over our heads and it was so fun to wave at her! We also really enjoyed the memories show that they project on the castle before Wishes. MK was super crowded, but we knew it would be and were really just going there for the dessert party and Wishes. Staying at the Swan and happy with it so far, never stayed here before. Also have a rental car for the first time (thanks to Alamo having some incredible rates, mid size for 8 days for $64 out the door!). Didn't know how I would like that, but I actually love it. The drive from the airport was so easy and very quick compared to ME. Swan upgraded us to a room with a balcony, and we have a nice view of the water and grounds. Resting this morning, as we have MNSSHP tonight!!! Hoping to swim and maybe walk around BW before the party. I will try to give more live reports as I am able!

Just called in my room request!! WooHoo! I love talking to Disney peeps on the phone, their so happy sounding!

Just checked touringplans.. Some of the dates went from 2s to 3s. Theres only one 1 while were there. Grr! I liked the idea of TSM being walk on! Magic Kingdom is also at a 7.4 for October 1st :scared1: Im actually getting a little worried that it is going to be worse than that since last week it was only a 4.4 for that date. Guess I really have to make it for RD that day!

Do you know how touringplans compares to easywdw?

Not really, Sorry! From my experiance Ive used TouringPlans and they seem pretty accurate as far as crowd levels. Last week they had mostly 1's and from the reports of people there during the time many rides were walks on. For the most part the sites tend to be relatively the same in their predictions. I know easywdw has MK at a 6 for Oct 1st so Im really dreading the crowds for that day!

Ugh...that is our last full day, so I was really looking forward to spending it in MK! We have an 8:15 BBB and then a late breakfast at CRT...the park is open until midnight now...so maybe we will take a break midday and come back at night. :confused3 Ugh...

Same here! Its our tradition to start and end our trip at MK. We have a dinner ressie for CRT planned for that night so we cant switch around our plans (not that Id want to). Im really hoping that just the morning is busy with people wanting to see what (if anything) the MK is doing for its 40th and then they hop over to EPCOT to check over Food and Wine. Crossing my fingers!!

Well, that certainly isn't going to help me convince DH to go Oct. 1st.....

Enjoying a rainy day and some Princess and the Frog :lovestruc

I will be one of those people. I am making a special day trip over for the 40th to see if anything is going on. I then plan on going over to EPCOT to preview F&W and report back to dbf.;)

I have an adr for Kona Cafe for bf and an adr for lunch at Les Chefs. I just wanna ride Soarin again and walk around a bit.

I think the MK is going to be elbow to elbow on 10/1, and I think RD is going to be chaos, but with 15,000 cheerful people!:rotfl2: I still would like to be there for it!
On another note, I'm crabby because I'm at work. The next few days need to hurry up! My boss finds it hilarious, and keeps tormenting me.:rolleyes:He told me last week he was going to needle me my last three days, because he's a big goofball! At this time next week, I'm in DHS, laughing like a loon and shoving a giant cupcake in my mouth, just gotta survive the rest if it!:rolleyes1

For those worried about lines, I downloaded a free app on my iphone that tells the wait times for the various rides. Now this is dependent on others with the app updating this, but the longest wait times have been 40 minutes and that could be bypassed by getting a fast pass. They all seem to be lingering around the 20 minute mark for the most part. Again, I am not sure how accurate this is, but thought it might help.

There are several similar apps for free if you want to look them up :)

I think MK is going to be more crowded than normal because people will be coming just for the celebration. Coupled with the start of F&W and the running events it will be a very crowded weekend. We are planning to be at MK RD and then play it by ears :earsboy: from there. party:

Marblies... we got the post card from Mickey today :wizard: it was awesome. DD has been carrying it all around the house ever since. she wants to take it to Dance Class to show her teacher lol.

I took a little video of when I gave it to her. I will post it later tonight when I get home :)

Thank you so so much

17 hours of work left, 32 hours til we leave for Portland, ME, and in 4 days exactly, we will be landing in Florida to start the vacation we have been planning since mid-January!!!:banana::banana::banana: I know you all understand my excitement - I luv my DIS family...

On a little side frustrated but under control note, DD managed to catch lice at school - think I caught it super early but still a pain - nothing a little lavender Dawn dish soap won't fix though...

I gathered all our baggies of change and took it to the bank. Ended up with about $80 :). That almost covers the money i spent on the pre order photopass

Love spare change lol
