September 2011 - We are going to Disney World {THIS MONTH}! (Third Thread)

L-Harper, your window decorations are seriously adorable, what a beautiful window!!:banana:Now I'm asking for a Cricut for Christmas!

Its a free dining promotion (the last that Ive heard anyways). We would save more with a room discount being its a deluxe resort.. but we will take any type of discount we can. If something comes out better next year, we will change but the dining will save us a lot to start with!

Absolutely! Free dining's a great deal:thumbsup2 If I didn't buy the AP this year, I'd be booking that for sure. Yes, it's so much easier leaving the World, when you know you'll be back :goodvibes

We're leaving today. thanks to everyone on this thread for helping me pass the time. I've really enjoyed reading the posts. I hope everyone has had a great trip. And for those of us who will be heading off soon I hope we all have a great time.

Have a very magical vacation!!! :goodvibes I hope you come back here and tell us all about it!

We leave tomorrow!:yay: At this time tomorrow we will be getting ready to board the plane.

Yippy! :banana:

Love the window, you are so creative! Will you be doing a trip report? Would love to see more pictures!

Thank you! Yes, I plan on doing a trip report when we all feel better. I have been trying to think of a name for it already. haha

Thank you! I am just so in love with my Cricut. Great investment! :thumbsup2

Hi all! We're supposed to leave on our complete surprise WDW trip on Sunday, 9/25 and I'm looking at weather sites and it looks like total rain the entire time?! I'm freaking out a little. we've always been so lucky with weather this time of year. Can this really happen or does anyone think it may rain on/off during the day but still see some sun? We were hoping to do a water park too...hoping it's warm enough! :)

I'm pretty bummed too. I leave thursday the 22nd. There is ONE bright side. There doesn't appear to be a hurricane in sight

So, I was just looking at showtimes for the 25 - 30 and no showtimes for DHS..as in, disney channel rocks, disney junior...etc., please tell me that they post the times that week and that the haven't been cancelled. My DD, 4 1/2, LOVES disney junior and disney channel rocks!

When you get to the park, grab a times guide and it will show you when everything is. I can't imagine they wouldn't have any shows while you're there. There is sometimes a glitch in the calendars that shows nothing going on. I think you'll be fine.

We've been at that time of September and had very little rain. The thing is, it rains briefly almost every day, but that could be even before you get up. The showers are very scattered. We had only two brief times of rain. It was a bit overcast a couple of days, but no rain. I think you'll be fine. Even if it rains every day, it still does not ruin your trip. We had rain every day when we went in November one year and it never stopped us. Good luck!:goodvibes

My DH has apparently decided he wants to know our plans now. He asked me this morning on the way to church what the name of the hotel was, and what day we were leaving on! :rotfl: Apparently I should have added another day on, he would have been none the wiser! The girls know how much organizing I've done, but I guess he hasn't gotten a real taste of it yet. I figure he'll get the hint when I whip out my touring plans and ADR printouts!:yay:

Ha Ha! This is so familiar. My DH knows I put a lot of time into planning the trip, but he really is clueless about what all it entails. He appreciates that I do all of that b/c he would never want to do any of it himself. He just shows up and has a great time and we're both happy that way. Oh, and for your ADRs, you might want to give a small copy of place, time and confirmation # for your DH to have in his wallet. It has come in handy more than once for us. Have a wonderful trip!:dance3:

Hello fellow Septemberers! I was recently told that you can't take any kind of beverages or snacks in the parks:scared1: Is this true? DD DOES NOT drink pop or plain water. Can we bring her some juice boxes and fruit water and snacks? TIA!

I know L Harper addressed this, but I just wanted to suggest to also bring some of those packets you can add to water. They take up almost no room and are handy if you run out of other drinks. I love that Disney allows you to bring in your own drinks and snacks!:thumbsup2

Have a magical trip! I'm so excited for you and for everyone who is on their way, are there now, or are going soon! :yay:

Single digit dance :cool1::banana::dance3::yay::woohoo::cheer2:

Not doing online check in, since we're staying club level - but I want to call today to make room request. :yay:

Our colds seem to be winding down too - hopefully it'll be a healthy trip!

Glad you're feeling better. Yay for single digits! It won't be long now.:cool1:

We leave tomorrow!:yay: At this time tomorrow we will be getting ready to board the plane.

Have a safe trip and a magical Disney stay!!:wizard:

Three more days! Eeekk!!!!:dance3::banana::banana::banana::dance3::cool1:

Three days will fly by. Have a wonderful time and report back to us.:goodvibes

Last time that we went in september it was perfect. There was rain forcasted for every day but the rain came in the mini-downpours that lasted between 10-20 minutes. It was just often enough to cool the air down without making it cold.

Totally unrelated to Disney trips, but I wanted to let my Sept. family know that I have a new Granddaughter as of 8:25 last night! Her name is Moriah Dawn and she was 6lbs and 12oz. Mother and daughter are both doing fine. Looks like a trip to Virginia in my very near future!:yay:

Here is a website that posts the show schedules for each park, and it's updated weekly. Just click on the park you want at the top. You should be fine for seeing the shows you want!

Congratulations. that is WONDERFUL news

I just checked the 10 day weather forcast and it says scattered storms for Sunday (our arrival day) and then sunny Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday with high of 87 :banana::banana::banana:

6 DAYS!!!!!! 5 days until the road trip starts.

DD is at preschool today so I'm taking the opportunity to get stuff done. We got our SD cards for the cameras yesterday (FINALLY!). this morning I took the van for a cleaning inside and out, I've got laundry going and brought the suitcases up so I can start packing what we aren't going to use or wear in the next few days.

I'm SO ready for this trip to start.

I do hope to run into some of you during our trip. that would be fun :)
