September 2011 - We are going to Disney World {THIS MONTH}! (Third Thread)

It does seem like a lot of our chattier group members are gone right now! I hope they're having a blast, but I am growing rather impatient waiting for my turn! There are still a whole bunch of us left, and a lot of us going simultaneously. This time next week, I'm packed and ready to leave!

I think those of us that are left are just really busy getting ready! I also need to go to bed earlier these next 3 nights since I'm having trouble getting to sleep due to excitement/thinking too much. I don't know how I'm supposed to go to bed at 9pm on Saturday since I'm waking up a 4am, but hopefully I can!

The crane info stinks, although I thought I read earlier (months ago) that it's there in the morning and it leaves in the afternoon/evening due to the fireworks? That seems kind of farfetched logistically so maybe that's wrong. I don't want a crane in my castle pics but what are you gonna do, right?

21 hours!!!!! Had pest control come out could swear there were birds in the attic nope those dang birds are probably sitting right next to the furnace vent and you can hear them all the way in the house and apparently the builder couldn't decide where to put the furnace there 2 pipes sticking out of the attic that don't go anywhere and you can place a light right through it no wonder my electric bills this summer have been so high I'm cooling the attic.

Where are y'all staying? We will be enjoying the parks about the same time. This gal from NC will have a black purse with a lime green Dis button on the purse. Shout out if you see me.

Dont worry she is right! We were also there last year when they had the crane and, while it sort of puts a damper on things, the PP people are amazing at taking pictures to make sure the crane doesnt intrude! They keep it quite a few feet away from the castle during the day for picture purposes!

I read over all the MNSSHP reports and I cant not wait!!!! I am so excited!! How many of us will be at the party on the 27th??

I hope you're right, too, MamaJessie, that info pretty much soured my whole day. My only required souvenir was my castle pick. The Tshirts are ready, and we have 8:05 ressies just to get a castle shot in a nearly empty park. This is the only time during my whole planning time that I've been really, really ticked off about the way they do something. I'll be looking for y'all, disneydiva16! We're gonna overload the MK bus on the 27th!

Jealous! I feel like most of the thread went this week.. hopefully in a few days we will have a lot of Trip Reports to make time go faster!

I'm still here until the 28th. Bringing up the rear of the September thread.

Just got word that my FIL has been admitted to the hospital. Dont have any details other than probably heart problems. Will know more after they run some tests. His blood pressure was really high when he was admitted. So we will see. I dont know what this means for our trip but thats secondary

Any good thoughts or prayers are appreciated

Did you guys read that there is going to be a crane parked out in the back of Cinderella's castle? They are installing the christmas lights and this will be here until Oct 4th. This kinda stinks cuz I really wanted to get some nice pictures in front of the castle. Oh well, whadaya gonna do

This does stink. Really hope it doesn't take away from the magic for my daughter. She loves seeing the castle.

Well tomorrow at this time, I will be strolling around the MK. It is hard to believe that it is time for our trip.

I still haven't packed but, it will get done sometime tonight.

Have a great trip. Can someone let me know why the crane is there? They were putting up Halloween decorations when we were there. I hope you all have a great time. I still check in on the thread. But since my trip is over it's back to the daily grind. I do have my FD bounceback trip for next year scheduled 14 nights. Dh said book it. So I did before he changed his mind. Pretty sad but I'm excited in a few days it will be in the 10 month mark. I start making payments next week on it.

Anyone ordering the photobook when you get home we got ours today and it is very nice. Small buy nice. I didn't add any more pages to the book just kept it at the 20. That is all I really needed anyway. I hope you all have a magical time.

No plane travel here, we're getting to Disney by Toyota power! We live in SC, so we're only about 8 hours away by car. When I priced out plane tickets, it was going to be ove $800 roundtrip for the four of us. We can drive on less than $100 each way, so the planes are not happening. I know that pretty much everyone else coming in that week are flying in, including the three previously mentioned ladies. It would bge great if you can get over there at the same time!

Has anyone done the Disney Junior Dance Party? Ive never heard of it before, and just this past week its come up a few times on the boards. I wasnt planning on attending the EMH at DHS since its a park to avoid that day, but DS loves to dance so I thought maybe we would hop over.. Any one done it?? Opinions??

I heard of it on another thread, and decided to brave EMH at HS for it, because my kids love Disney Junior, and they love to dance! Originally, it was also only 1 of 2 nights for Fantasmic, which really had me worried, but hopefully now that it's showing every night it will take some of the pressure off.

Our memory book from our 2007 trip is our favorite souvenier! And putting it together extended the fun afterwards, too!
