September 2011 - We are going to Disney World {THIS MONTH}! (Third Thread)

:sad1:

As for me, the dreadful fires consuming the surrounding areas are dominating our news right now. 1800 + homes lost so far. Just devastating. Thanks to you guys, there is something to smile about when I get online. :grouphug:

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Nate moves into Texas and give y'all some relief.

Those of us still here are going to have to make lots of noise lol! So, what one character do u want to make sure u see? For me it's the dwarfs at MNSSHP.

For me it's Alice or Minnie::MinnieMo, DH wants to see Goofy or Mickey:mickeyjum, DD wants to see Darth Vader, Yoda :yoda:, or Rapunzel, and DDBFF wants to see any of the Princesses (its her first time to Disney) princess:

Ok, I have thought about surprising my friend and my sister with MNSSHP tickets for the Friday night we arrive. The only thing stopping me is that all 2 of us would have gotten up around 4 AM that morning and plan to do rope drop the next day. So I thinking we will be so tired.

I just hate having to miss the halloween parade, and fireworks. Also, missing some of the characters you don't normally see in the parks.

Decisions, Decisions.

The character I most want to see is Pooh!!:cloud9: Oh how I love that silly old bear!! We have 8:05 Crystal Palace reservations, and I can't wait to get that picture!!!:love:For Alyssa, it's Pooh as well, for Sommer it's Piglet. Chris doesn't care, as ling as we're happy!;)

On another note I just got a little bit of pixie dust:wizard:, I had commented before about wanting to get rid of our ADR for Hollywood and Vine and wanted to get Tusker House for breakfast....well I JUST got it!!:woohoo: We have ADR for Chef Mickey on Tuesday, or first morning at WDW and now we have an ADR for our last morning at Tusker House....I am sooo excited![/COLOR]

Congrats on getting the ADR you wanted!:wizard:

I just booked with Mears transportation to get us from Pop Century to Universal for WWoHP today :cool1:
It sounded like she said it was $19 per person PER way, but I am thinking she meant $19 per person for round trip. I'll have to validate that one with someone familiar with the experience. Either way... :cool1: for having that off of the to-do list

The dwarfs at MNSSHP are the only characters we plan on standing in line for at the party! Seems like too epic a photo op to pass up! Other than that, we MUST track down Mary Poppins as often as possible. I think we'll do Phineas & Ferb too because my DH and I love them. Too bad Agent P isn't there! Or Doof!

Just came in from getting the mail....

Our Mickey Mail is HERE!!!!!:banana::banana:

I practically RAN into the house to tear it open and look at it!!!! 15 days!!!!!!:yay::woohoo::yay::woohoo:

WOOHOO! FINALLY!! :cool1::cool1:

Just checking the line waiting time app on my phone - wait times are amazing

MK - Splash Mountain - 16 min, Space Mountain - 13 min, Peter Pan - 17 min
EP - Soarin - 17 mins, Mission Space - 17 mins
HS - Toy Story - 37 mins, Tower of Terror - 11 mins, Star Tours - 4 mins
AK - Everest - 15 mins, Kali River - 22 mins

these are awesome wait times... hope it stays that way...

I had just checked these around the time you posted them--aren't they awesome?? I can't believe Soarin' is so short. I'm not riding that because I'm acrophobic and I feel like I'm about to fall out of the theater at Imax shows and there is a floor beneath my feet there. My DH says he'll ride it if it's a less than 20 min wait though.

HM was a 21 min wait last time I checked--what's that about?! Longer than Soarin' and the mountains!

I have been able to do my online check in all day today and I haven't gotten around to it yet!

Oy vey. My prayers are also with those dealing with the wild fires. We are having the opposite problem. We are having some really crazy flooding right now. People have been evacuated. They are predicting that when this crests it's going to beat the high water mark from Hurricane Agnes.

Hubby couldn't get to work today. we are up on a hill (thank God for small miracles) so our house has no flooding but all roads leading out of our development are flooded out. Hubby made it out earlier to the grocery store just in the knick of time before the last way out floods over. It's flooded over now and it still rising. The wain has stopped now though.

So I'm very jealous of those who have left or are about to leave for the World... but I'm also counting my blessings that this didn't happen right before we leave. Hopefully 2 weeks will be enough time to get all this water cleared out and the roads passable so we can make our drive :)

I really feel for you guys having bad weather/fires right now. I was on a conference call yesterday and the speaker was from Texas and said that the smoke was so thick that he was losing his voice. The call was interrupted several times while he had coughing fits.

The package for the children is done and wrapped waiting for tomorrow night's "mickey" delivery. The packing is...almost...there. We are leaving Saturday evening and it's been hard to keep my brain from checking out.

I'm obsessively watching the weather too!

I am so blessed that I get to go on vacation.

I love this one...especially the one part of it for you! Congrats!

We are having what feels like a monsoon right now. It's been raining like crazy and no end in sight. I wish we could give people in Texas some of our rain. Our backyard is completely flooded. We have no basement so we are scared it's going to come in our back door. I can't wait for it to let up a little. The weather better be sunny and beautiful when we get to FL because I can't stand the rain anymore.

Ooh, I've gotten that feeling at IMAX, too. You know when you look around the room and think, "Is NO ONE else feeling this right now??" I was concerned I would feel like that on our cruise, but thankfully, I was ok. I just stayed away from the railings!

It may depend which line they are calculating. With the new interactive queue, the line splits into two--one goes to the interactive stuff and the other goes straight to the building. We took the quick route and peeked at the other. We were surprised how much the interactive queue sneaks out and around. It looked like quite a time drain!

Thinking of everyone in areas of fire or flood. At Disney World, I talked with a woman who left her house while it still had some flooding and loss of electricity from Hurricane Irene. She said they had to make a decision to stay or go, so they decided to continue with their trip to Disney. I assumed she had family or friends to check on the house because she knew the electricity had come back on. What weather we have been having!

Oh my goodness! I hope you feel better soon and can get your tooth fixed in time! In general, I believe they can give you a temporary false tooth while a permanent one is being cast. I know I've had family members receive temporary teeth while waiting for a crown. I hope it's the same for a front tooth! 15 days should be a good window to get it done. Pixie dust!! :wizard:
