September 2011 - We are going to Disney World {THIS MONTH}! (Third Thread)

We'll still be there when you arrive, too, we've got 19 more days! Ugh!:rotfl2: It's good that we have FB and the DIS to stalk for updates until then. Three weeks from right now, I will be in line for my 250th ride on Space Mountain! :cheer2:

Lol that makes me think of a fun question for everyone to help pass the time - being the 40th anniversary, if you could, which ride would you ride 40 times - mine would be the Teacups!

I'm probably one of the last people on the planet that doesn't do facebook so no FB stalking for me :guilty: Looking forward to reading here though!

I just got finished putting together our Mousekeeping envelopes and I still have a million little things that I know still need to get done! Yesterday we went ahead and added the dining plan to the first part of our ressie when we're at Pop. We did the math and since we're paying OOP for our meals, with the price of the character meals we're doing we'll come out ahead. I'm starting to feel a little of the pre-trip stress/jitters but I know everything will be fine in the end.

Hmm, if I could ride a ride 40 times it would probably be POTC pirate: Anybody say Johnny Depp , LOL

40 times huh? This is hard! I love IASW but even I may get sick of the song after the 30th time :rotfl: Maybe the safari? I can't imagine ever getting sick of that. It's as close as I will ever get (or would WANT to get) to a real African safari.

It'll be over soon, thank goodness! My oldest DD is driving us bananas. She apparently thinks she's the chubby little blond kid in Shek Ever After, and that I'm Shrek. She has been following me around all evening going, "Do the roar!" I guess it's better than having a sullen teenager, right?

:rotfl:

Hey Disers 15 days and we are at AKL CL. We have never stayed there and are really looking forward to it. The resort is far different then the others we have stayed at (GF and YC). Hoping for good weather and loads of fun.

Wooohoooo! Garden Grocer order placed! It really makes it feel more real now that I'm crossing things off my to-do-before-we-go list!

In terms of what ride I would do 40 times, I have no idea! I've only been once before when I was 9 and don't really remember them very well. So I guess if I had to say something it would be TSMM just because I'm interested to see what the hype is all about!

If we could do just one 40 times I think it would have to be HAunted Mansion! Love that ride! Next would be Pirates or Tower of Terror. Getting so excited!

Could not do that 40 times. Would pass out because my heart would jump out of my chest around time 3

We were watching netflix wdw park shows last night and just watching that ride was getting my heart rate up lol

Well, I can't say from experience... but based on what I know I would choose the safari. That's the attraction I'm most excited about!

Thanks for the heads up! Yay! I love when Netflix as Disney shows! I know I am watching tonight while I make seating charts for school!

I love ToT! I like rides that get my heart pumping. Maybe it's because ibhave stunningly low blood pressure so the ride actually makes my heart feel like it's beating!

I agree with the Haunted Mansion! DS loved that ride last year.. I cant even tell you how many times we rode that on our last trip. Now that hes 2 Im hoping it doesnt frighten him, but we shall see!

I would do Star Tours easily!! I am a total sci fi nerd. Followed by Haunted Mansion and the Soarin.

DH and I would do Soarin' 40 times.
Excited to hear so many getting ready to head to the World. Looking forward to seeing photos and trip reports.
Hope everyone leaving this week has an awesome trip. :wizard:

When we get back I promise to load this thread up with lots of park pics of decorations and room windows and food porn!!! YAY!!!

You'd better! And so glad you're feeling better!

First of all, this thread is flame-proof! We all get along so well. Personally, I just love TSM. Everyone already explained and I pretty much agree. We usually go to rope drop, get a fast pass then get in line and ride. It's usually only a 20 minute wait or so. Then we go do ToT and RnR and use our fast pass for TSM and then get another one for later. I wouldn't wait in a long line for much of anything. And that's the beauty of going in September...you don't really have to! Try it...I think you'll like it.:thumbsup2

Okay, you've *almost* got me convinced. ;)

Ha ha! That is very true! And we can wait it out together! :goodvibes

Me too! 24 days here! (Although I just realized we leave in 21 days--visiting my Dad who just moved to FL first!)

We were watching netflix wdw park shows last night and just watching that ride was getting my heart rate up lol

We must have watched them each three or more times over the weekend! DD6 is dying to ride EE and ToT, but is now afraid of Kilimanjaro Safaris since she saw there are crocodiles. :lmao:

Maelstrom, with PoC second. Actually, 2 of my favorite rides as a kid aren't there anymore--20,000 leagues under the sea and my absolute favorite, Horizons. Yes, I am a nerd. :rolleyes1

This time next week we will settling in for our first sleep at the world!!! I can't wait. I am getting a little nervous about the flying....I don't really like to fly and it's Kyle's first time flying so I have no idea how he will do and we don't have a seat for him so we will have to pass him around for 2 1/2 hours.

I have so much to do this week and seems like no time to get it done. A friend called me tonight to ask me if I wanted to go to a Phillies game tomorrow (praying for no rain!!), it's Childhood Cancer Awareness night and benefits CHOP, I am hoping it works out where I can go, I don't want to miss it.

Safe travels to anyone leaving for the world in the next few days and I can't wait to read about everyone's trip!

I would do Haunted Mansion 40 times! :cloud9: I'm hoping to do it 10 times this trip to bring my lifetime total up to 13 trips just for funsies.

Happy & safe travels to everyone going tomorrow & the next few days!! It'll be all of our turns soon!!

We're at 19 days also. Just ordered a router off Amazon to try and set up a wireless connection in our room. We're there almost 2 weeks and as DVC owners we get free internet. (I know we've already paid for it but it will seem free at the time.)
I think the rides we would go on again and again would be Soarin, Test Track, Haunted Mansion, and TOT. Of course we like most all of the rides and will go on them again and again depending on the wait time.

We just got home about 2 hours ago, and the trip was amazing!

The Dream was stunning and I can't believe how much I enjoyed cruising. Leading up to the cruise, I had many reservations about being on a ship for 3 nights, but the cruise went so smoothly and we all had a blast. Here are just a few photos from the cruise and our day at Magic Kingdom. Off to bed!
