Hey, OT here - HOW do you remember where you left off reading on this thread? I subscribed to it, but cannot seem to figure out if there's a way of returning to the last post read.

Here is how I do it...

I go to the list of subscribed threads. The ones that have new posts will be in bold letters. In front of the thread title there is a little arrow, click on this arrow and it will take you to the first unread post in that thread.

I hope this helps.

Wow! Y'all were chatty over the weekend!! Sorry I missed out.

The WDW drama never ends at our house. I think I've got DH convinced that it will be okay to take DD out of school, but yesterday, we were driving and he says, out of nowhere, "Is it wrong that I think I might want to stay at Animal Kingdom Lodge?"

Umm, yes, yes it is. :lmao:

So, we looked and there was a club level room available, so I've got it on hold. Now, the decision is: do we keep our CR ressie, stay at AKL, or do a split stay. Why can't it just be easy?!?!??! It doesn't help that AKL is about $1600 cheaper for the week than CR, either.

JoBird -- I thought of something this weekend that you will just LOVE! Last September, we listened to Voices of Liberty at Epcot and they sang "Rocky Top". And THEN, last weekend, we heard the music for the little hoedown they do in the street in Frontierland about 3 times. Each time, guess what song was on? "Rocky Top!" Be sure to make some extra time to enjoy!

:dance3::dance3:

I know CR has the convenience of location, but I would LOVE to stay at AKL sometime, it seems like such a beautiful resort to me! That would be my choice. Also when DH finally has an opinion on vacation, I usually honor it.

So, totally off topic, but none of the bananas are dancing for me  Is this just my computer?

I've been looking and pricing things and just saw that I can stay in Sugar Loaf at GF for $100 less than Poly CL.... decisions, decisions.

LOL .....I just figured that out last week, after being on the DIS for over a year:rolleyes1 slow learner!!

I saw you BANANA dancing........:banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

ShhhQ - I love that you have two separate tickers, one for vaca and one for the drive. I always go back and forth with which date to use when I make a ticker.

Thanks pinkle, apparently it's just my computer that insists on frozen bananas.

It's snowing here again today. Nothing makes me want to window shop for vacation clothes on etsy like some snow :goodvibes

September 13-20 for us, a split stay with three nights at Pop Century from 9/13-9/16 then we check into the Beach Club for four nights on 9/16-9/20

We are soo excited...as you can see from my siggie we are a Value resort family but using the stay/play discount for the first part of our trip combined with the 40% Pin for the second part we get to try a deluxe for the first time :woohoo:

We love Pop Century but are so excited to be going to the Beach Club and my girls are looking forward to Stormalong Bay!

We already bought flights through Southwest and got a great price of $67 pp each way so we are just thrilled and I am in full planning mode. Glad to join all of you!:goodvibes

:welcome: Welcome! I have you added to the first post! :dance3:

Of course I'm going to say go with AKL! It's my dream resort, hence why we're staying there at the end of our trip. :lmao: I think its great that your husband gave an opinion and I'm sure your daughter will LOVE seeing all of the animals. An added bonus is that $1,600 that you could spend on some awesome Disney souvenirs. ;)

Poly! Poly! Poly! That is my vote! :thumbsup2

I see the dancing bananas!!!

Okay, so we've stayed at AKL twice already. We've never stayed club level there, though.

We stayed one night at CR last September before moving over to Poly and I fell in love with the view.

It's tough. Our youngest loved AKL when we were there last May and she'd be able to appreciate it more at 2 1/2 than she did at 1, but I can't make myself do it.

Aaaahhhh!!!

I'm trying to compromise and figure out a good split stay scenario. That way, we still save some of the money (enough to do the Sunrise Safari and MNSSHP) and we get the best of both worlds.

I've already paid my room only deposit for CR, so it would just be a matter of paying the deposit for AKL...and trying to figure out a new schedule.

Good Morning All-

I had the strangest dream last night about Disney. DH and I pulled up in our car to POP and he got out and went in, there was a CM at the doorway motioning me to come in so I called out no I am waiting in the car while DH checks us in. Then I said to myself as I was sitting there what are we doing here at POP we suppose to be at the Beach Club :confused3

Very wierd dream especially since we have not driven since '92 or '93 and DH has always said he will never stay at a value :rotfl:

MissLiz- hard choice but I know we were booked at CR TPV first but the savings in $ by moving to BC won out. $1600 is a lot of money we added 2 nights to our trip for only $200 more than CR was costing for 6 nights. AKL is beautiful, I do not think you can compare the two and staying CL like you said you could do the sunrise safari, which would be awesome

disneydreamin247- GF is my dream resort I say go for GF

Welcome to all the new travelers! Can't believe how many we're getting!

My husband was on the computer the other day and I had my Disney planning spreadsheet open. He just saw it but didn't really read any of it, then said "I think we should stay longer". I'm not sure whether I want to burn up any more of my vacation days from work though. I jotted out a rough plan and as long as we get to most of the parks by rope drop we should have more than enough time to do what we want. And honestly, the idea of 2 double beds for more than 5 nights kind of gives me a headache. BUT, adding in an extra day or two would give us a nice buffer in case we end up having some excessively rainy days or one of us gets sick or something. I figure we have until March 26 to decide, and if the free dining promo comes back that would pretty much make the decision for us.

There was quite a bit of activity this weekend! I am here to finally get ADR's straight! Wish me luck! Looking for a restaurant to replace the Le Cellier reservation we had for the March trip that isnt happening. Otherwise probably keeping the same. Any suggestions? Probably need an EPCOT or resort near epcot option, but we aren't limited to that.

We are doing: Crystal Palace Breakfast, Ohana Dinner, Liberty Tree Tavern dinner, Biergarten, 50's Prime Time Dinner, Chef Mickey's Breakfast...

Notice lots of buffets? My DS is at that age where the kids meals are not enough food so we try to get on the TS meals things he won't have to get the usual kids fare at. If there are TS places where the kids meal choices are not the norm feel free to shout em out!

Thanks!

Have you tried Big River Grille on the Boardwalk? We love it. It isn't Disney owned, so the food is a little different. They have even made my kids things that aren't even on the kids menu. And you don't need an ADR!

Me too! I posted last week about a weird disney dream and felt like a nut for dreaming about vaca anxiety... :rolleyes1

Microcell - We do a lot of buffets too. My youngest isn't great at waiting so she likes to be able to eat as soon as she is seated.

Hey, my banana is dancing again!

Every time we go to Disney, I have multiple dreams leading up to the event... some more crazy than others.... in one, we drove all the way just to find out that we forgot our ressie papers and they refused to let us in :scared1:
Just last night, I drempt that we teamed up with another family that was in a big hurry to get on the road to Disney, we were finishing up getting ready to leave and found all but 1 of our cats missing... the other family had given them away so we wouldn't have to worry about them!!!
I will be having Disney dreams all the way up to Sept... just hope some are good ones not these nightmares!!!

WEIRD! :banana:I see your dancing banana  but not your ticker!!!!!!!!

Looks like Sept is going to be busy....I am still struggling with our ADR for Sci-Fi...we are going for the atmosphere, but I remember the food was a real let down  We want to eat in or near the park when HS is open until 9. We love the HTT at night!!!!:scared1:

Ugh. Just spent the whole weekend sick in bed and Saturday was my birthday. Got some awesome presents though. My brother got me a Pixar/Disney Cd and my boyfriend got me a Hidden Mickey book as well as promised me either park hoppers or a night at the Hoop De Doo Review! (which I know he's been itching to go back to see it again!) I told him we'd wait and see what the park hours are like before we go scheduling anything. We also talked about a couple other meals, looked at some menus, and discussed whether we wanted to go to hte waterparks this time. No real concrete answers yet. sigh.
Now gotta get caught up on everyone else's planning between now and the time the hours come out!!

I see our tickers, but now my banana is frozen again :rotfl:

My dream was directly inspired by MissLiz getting a surprise trip. DH told me to get in the car and then I realized he never packed any clothes or made any ADRs and it was spring break and we couldn't do anything. :lmao:

Bought some little Valentine's individual treat boxes with disney characters on them for 75% off for our countdown party Wednesday :cool1:

Tonight we are making the grapefruit cake from Brown Derby for dessert. Never had it, it judt sounded good and I had a big bag of grapefruit noone seemed to want to eat :confused3 ;)
