What on Earth are love bugs?!

I think you will miss them. We went 9/24 to 10/2 last year and they were in full force when we got there for 2 days. The don't hurt you or antything they are just annoying.

What on Earth are love bugs?!

They dont bite or sting. Adult love bugs dont even eat, but they have seasons were they are out in amazing numbers. Cute little guys can be a pain but nothing to be worried about. This past September we didn't have a problem with them at all.

We have had lovebugs for all of our late September trips. The worst for us was on the lounges and chairs by the Pop pool and the Pop bus stops and one time in Epcot

Both of my girls are scared of bugs but I think by now they are starting to get used to them.

We went from 9/17 to 9/25 last year, and we didn't really notice the love bugs until the last 2-3 days of our trip. Some parks (MK and HWS) seemed to have more of them than other areas, but it wasn't terrible. I'm just glad they don't bite/sting... they're more annoying than anything else.

We're going from 9/3 to 9/11 this year, so I don't know if they're better/worse in early September.

Look before you sit down if the Lovebugs are there. I can't tell you the number of people that didn't and had squashed Love bugs on their shorts.

LOL yea I'm hoping our 7 yr old won't notice if they are around..... she already asks some pretty ummm 'mature' questions about reproduction n stuff.....

This is going to be the third part of our WDW vacation this summer. Staying at OKW in August, then 3 Disney cruises on the DREAM and back to WDW and Old Key West from September 1 - 10!

If dd wasn't obsessed with asking about how babies were made when I got pregnant with #3 she probably wouldn't have thought much of them. But since she had already learned of such things about ten minutes into the swarm we had of lovebugs at POR she looked at me horrified and said "Are they doing what I THINK they're doing?!?!?!"
