September 2011 - The Planning Has Started!!!

Have any of you looked at the free site easywdw.com? I have a subscription to touringplans but I really like the detailed explanation of best parks/parks to avoid for September that is on the easyWDW site. And it seems to be in line for the most part with touringplans and I have found myself referring to it a lot as we plan our September stay at Pop/BC.

Just another option for all of us who like to compare all the information! :goodvibes

oooh wish I saw this post earlier! Gotta go to bed early tonight because I have a training to go to in Milwaukee tomorrow (will take me 2.5 hours there and then again back, for an 1.5 hr training :rotfl:) so I won't have time to check it out til tomorrow afternoon! Can't wait! :surfweb:

Anyone here doing Quick dining? I feel left out not making any ADRs.:sad2: We are DVC members so no free dining for us unless we want to pay extra for a room. So I was wondering if anyone else here was going to be quick dining it this September.:thumbsup2

Okay DISers, my spreadsheet for park planning is done. The dates and park hours are filled in for my trip, but you can alter them for your dates and hours. I'm also going to be adding a DDP cost sheet sometime soon if anyone wants that. I'm going to start emailing it out to everyone that sent a PM now. :goodvibes

I did become a member at touring plans, and I just went to the link you provided for the September analysis... and its odd because on several days of our trip, the info is exactly opposite as to which park is the best! Weird... I know its all opinion, but its kind of odd!

Hmm...that is odd. The ones I looked at were pretty close for my dates  I do like the approach to the analysis that easywdw offers though!
Plus it gives me something else to pour over before my trip :surfweb: I just love all the planning :goodvibes

I liked their info though! They go into a lot more detail than the touringplans does...

This will be our first trip to WDW without the dining plan. We have had the regular dining plan for free for the past 4 years. Because of the discounts we chose to utilize this time we will be paying OOP for all our meals. We plan on eating breakfast in the room as we always do and will be eating several CS meals. I will make a couple of ADRs because my girls insist on eating at Akershus with the princesses :cloud9: and we want to try Cape May breakfast since we will be staying at the BC for part of our stay.

We love the dining plan but are looking forward to the increased flexibility we will have this trip by not being tied down to ADR's so don't feel left out, we're in the same boat :grouphug:

We booked last week for 9/29-10/7 at FQ. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary. This is our first stay at FQ.

Okay, the sheet has been sent! I hope it can help you guys. :goodvibes

I tried the QSDP and we ended up adding ADRs while there which defeated the purpose. :sad2: For the extra $15 a day, it would have been much easier to just have the DDP. I've learned my lesson!

What a good question? (^) I can't stand those things but being from Louisiana originally. If I recall it was usually around late august through mid Sept that they seem to plentiful. I never did like those things. I'll keep checking back to find out any new ways to keep them from too much of a bother.

The first time we went in late September they were everywhere, it was the last week of September. We went the 3rd week of September a few years ago and they were just starting. We've been 3 times the last few weeks of August, beginning of September and haven't come across any lovebugs.

Wow, everyone's been so busy today! All this talk about Fantasmic has me second guessing it. I was planning on doing the dinner package, does anyone know how that works, or how it impacts waiting times? With a 6 and 2 year old, I can't imagine waiting very long at that time of night.

Thanks for all the great links everyone, I've bookmarked them!
And I never knew about the lime green Mickey heads. Maybe I'll bring one along this time, although not sure if I'd really like to advertise it (unless I knew it was someone from this thread!) :rotfl:

Marce

I started doing the exact same thing yesterday, DH and I have not been to Fantasmic! Years ago maybe '97?...... we did go to an outdoor show at "MGM" but I do not think there was seating, I do recall standing and watching it. I am sure it is very different now that there is a stadium for the show.
DH could care less if we do it or not, I am the parade, show, firework fanatic  I thought since we are staying at BC this year would be a good time to see it since we can walk back afterwards instead of fighting the crowds for the transportation back.
Planning is fun but sometimes can be a royal pain too :headache:

I am doing mostly condo dining but there are a few ADRs I am making and although it is only three it makes me feel closer to my vacation :) I will also be doing a couple CS at the parks. I think Cosmic Rays again at MK and Sunshine Season at Epcot. DH loves Cosmic Rays rib and chicken combo. When I asked him which meal was a must do for this trip (keeping in mind we had the DDP so we went to a lot of TS) it was CM and Cosmic Rays. Easy enough :)

I have also been planning my off site dining and condo meals, looking up quick and easy recipes and making grocery lists. :rotfl: If you knew how insanely disorganized I am in the rest of my life you'd know why I find this rare organizational part of my life so funny.

Off to go check easywdw while the kids watch Jake and the Neverland Pirates.

ok nine more daySSSS Almost forgot to make my payment on the trip too ACK!!!

We went the EXACT same time we're going this time and didn't run into Love Bugs..... I'm figuring with my luck they'll be out in full force when we go this time :ROTFL:

once I get some laundry done I am going to post my 'ideas for touring' if you all don't mind.

I noticed w the Easywdw she seems to base it on the EMH, which I've found isn't always true..... esp when crowds are only a 2/3 anyways.... just thought I'd throw that out there ;)

I have to say with crowds being so low this time of year I don't really worry anyway.

And when we went the same time two years ago the love bugs weren't that bad. At one of the bus stops at POR we saw a lot of them, but that was the only time they were kind of annoying.

Just got the flights booked!!
Yeah!!!:cool1:

We are under the kids play free promo and added the QSDP. We don't really care for the regular plan. I don't like having all those adr's for 10 days. We do 2 Ts meals one is t-rex not on the plan the other will be either Tusker house or Arkshurs this year. For us to do the regular plan is another 200.00. The 2 meals op will less than that. Plus we will save another 250 between tips and mugs.

Oh the love bugs. LAst year when we first arrived at pop they were horrible. Then after 2 days there were none to be found. The pool tables were covered with them. It was really gross.
