Can you help me understand how this works? My mom has an RCI for Las Vegas but we've never figured out how to use it for a Disney Villa and their website is confusing to navigate!

Ill try, but Im new to it to haha! When you go to their website (rci.com) log in using your moms information. Then on the top I click the 'search for a vacation' tab, than click on florida, than orlando. At this time change the view from map view to list view and look on the left side of the page. It should give you 'walt disney world' as an option. Just click on that and it will give you what disney villas are available and for what date. Hope that helps!

Yeah!! Paid more on trip----one more payment to make. Normally my trip is paid off before now but it's ok....hoping it will be this weekend!!! Now I need a nap...then off to work!!

I here you and we can't pack yet. We need our summer clothes right now. Dh will do laundry about 1/2 way threw our trip. We go for 10 days and I only pack 10 outfits for the girls and maybe 6 for myself. I do go overboard on the swimsuits. I hate wearing a wet one. I don't do laundry on vacation but he don't mind. LOL We don't need the laundry but it is nice to come home and to have 1/2 done.

Whew! Finally caught up with you guys!

We just got back from a short trip to Washington DC for the 4th of July festivities. We had a GREAT time. As much as I love Wishes, the fireworks show from the Lincoln Memorial was beyond a doubt the best fireworks show I have ever seen in my life by a mile. It was a fantastic trip.

Now though, we're buckling down for our Disney trip. It's 65 days according to the countdown on the Disney website and we're still trying to nail some things down. I mentioned before that we were having trouble with ressies, but I think we just decided we're going to pay out-of-pocket for Coral Reef and keep our Brown Derby, Narcoosee's, and Chefs de France reservations. We also paid off the trip today so YAY! Things are really starting to shape up!

Thought I would share this funny story with you all...I think I may have a future DISer on my hands...

In the corner of my room is our big suitcase...it doesn't really fit anywhere else. Tonight when I came upstairs I noticed it had a bunch of hangers on it. Apparently my 6 year old daughter is ready to start packing...it was all of her Disney related clothing!!!! Little does she know inside the bag is a bunch of brand new Disney shirts for the trip! Ha!

My husband is even getting excited about our trip!!! Last year he was just kinda so-so about it...just sorta going with the flow...but every few days he says..."I can't wait for Disney!"

Ok so today I paid off the trip!!!

I made good money last night in tips, so it is now officially paid off. Now to earn spending money!!! I have a tote with all our clothes in it so the kids can't see the new clothes. I will probably pack when the kids head back to school. I don't have to wait, could do it now..cause all their clothes are brand new. Whether they are something I made(MK shirts) or something Robin/Norma has bought(AK safari tops from Justice). The only thing I have to dip into their summer clothes for is maybe a pair of jean shorts, and maybe a bathing suit. They each will take 3-4 bathingsuits and they each have one bathingsuit they don't know exists. Robin. Norma and I tried to get the girls matching bathingsuits(at least one). Well off to fold laundry. TTFN

I really need to sit down and organize our stuff...I have a bunch of things I bought for the trip kind of strewn about in various places and I need to gather them all up in one spot so I don't forget anything We always say we're going to pack early but for whatever reason we always seem to packing into the night , the night before the trip

I'm still trying to put away spending money but with both my girls birthdays a month apart it has been hard. My dd 7 who turns 8 on July 22, who is an avid book reader, informed DH and I that she really wanted a Nook Color for her birthday. So, after much discussion and thought, I picked one up last night from Barnes and Noble. But between the Nook Color itself, a screen protector, protective case, and extended protection plan....next thing I know I'm out $350

Hadn't anticipated the unexpected cost, and for the record DD does not normally get such expensive birthday gifts...but she does not need or want any more toys, clothes, etc, she's a super kid and loves to read so we decided we would buy it for her

I've been secretly playing with it and I love it so far! It's really cool! Besides, I think it will be a great thing to help keep the kids ( and mom and dad ) entertained on the plane ride to Disney, etc At least that's my story and I'm sticking to it, LOL

Congrats to everyone paying off their trips!!!

I still have to do a bunch of shopping. My oldest DD talked me into getting both girls matching tutu-type skirts to wear so now I'm in the hunt for two dark purple tank tops or tees to match the ribbon on the skirts. I'm such a sucker.




I bought some new sandals last weekend for myself that I thought would work for WDW, but I may have to get another pair. These just don't feel "right". They are pretty comfy and they are cute...but something is just off.

We found out the other night that DH's dad is definitely meeting us at the World. He bought his plane ticket even, so we have had to officially make some changes, but then, DH's sister started talking about coming, too. So, we may end up having a huge group going.

DH and I have mixed emotions about the extra people. We really enjoy their company, but we both have a hard time with trying to make sure everyone is having a good time and we just don't want to have to worry about that on vacation.

We'll see what happens, I guess.

60 days and the first of 2 final payments went out today!

Normally we're Paid in Full by now, but we changed our dates from October/November to 1st week September. When the AP rates for September came out it was a HUGE savings-like the cost of 2 trips so we modified and well...now we're super budgeting to pay it all by the 23rd...but it always works out.

Luckily we have Concierge and they got ALL our dining and tours booked on the dates and time requested. they are awesome.

I'm with all of you ready to pack now, but then I'll be going to work naked and that wont fly..

I had made a reservation at Kouzzina and it says I have a reservation for Chef's Menu at CoraNation for $60 pp. Ever hear of it? I am cancelling it, I just don't know how it switched from a kouzzina res to that.

I have not paid off my trip yet. I have given myself something like a ten day window to make the final on site off site decision. Yes, yes I am crazy.

We are arriving 8/27 and leaving 9/5. So 10 days. That is why we stick with a value resort but we love pop. Can't wait for Mickey mail.
