September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

For the life of me I cannot make up my mind what MNSSHP to attend. We are on the QSDp so not much of a schedule. We do want to do TL on Wednesday and that would make the Tuesday party better I think. Tl don't open til 10am and I can just float around the lazy river all day. Maybe get off my butt and go down crush n gusher. We usually do t-rex on our arrival day early lunch before it get busy. But by the time our plane lands it will be around 7pm before we can get there. So I'm thinking of just maybe going there after our HS day.
This is my sort of schedule
Sat arrive eat at pop
Sun Epcot
Monday MK Pl Reservation at 10:10am for the girls
Tuesday T-rex lunch and MNSSHP?
Wednesday TL
Thursday AK Tusker house breakfest
Friday HS
Saturday Epcot
Sunday MK
Monday leave

Joining the September countdown! We're booking for our September 17th-24th trip this week! :cool1:

Cant wait for vacation. We leave September 4th. We are spending the day in Daytona the day prior. Anyone have any ideas for that location? We get into Disney the 5th for 6 days at the POFQ. Just want to relax and recharge. If you can call it that. Usually I need another vacation after going to DW...lol:cool1:

:welcome: I have you both added to the first post!

We're going down for the last 2 weeks and hope the love bugs aren't as bad as they were last Sept.! There was one day you couldn't go to the pool and lay down without getting covered. We ended up bringing extra towels to cover ourselves when laying down!:surfweb:

So excited to be under the 4 month mark! I have to remember that we still have summer activities.

I think with all we have going on summer will fly...then school will start and those first few weeks will be sloooow....but then it will be DISNEY time!!!

Ugh I so remember that. They were so bad the first 2 days we arrived. I remember the 60's section near the pool area being covered. It was so gross. They were everywhere. It only last a couple of days so it wasn't bad. I wanted to go get a drink and sit near the pool the first night. But I didn't want to be taken away by lovebugs.:rotfl2:
I'm sure all the resorts had the same issues. They washed them all away in the morning with the power washers but by the time we came back from the parks it was back to the same.

We're returning to Pop Century again this year :goodvibes

We are big pop lovers over here. I'm sure we will stay at AOA for the suites. We tried to get into ASMU suites even thought there is only 4 of us. I like the extra space. Plus if my stepson who live in Fl wants to come for a few days there is room. Last year we had to get him a room at pop for 3 nights.

Awesome!!! Doesn't it feel good to check something else off of the list?? :dance3:

Yup, now if only DF would let me know if his leave gets approved :thumbsup2. I booked through Southwest in case his leave gets denied (it better not, our wedding is right before that, lol) and we have to change dates.

I have ressies at Chef Mickeys, Ohana, Teppan Edo, and Tonys. We're not doing Dining Plan (DF doesn't eat enough to justify getting it, lol) also it's not free when we're going :lmao:.

We're also planning on going to MNSSHP on the 30th. Then again I guess I should say "I" since I'm the trip planner and DF just goes with the flow, haha.

L-Harper, I totally get your reservation dilemma. I read on the community board though that they are starting to cancel multiple reservations when the find them so I got on this morning to try to narrow down. (And before I get flamed for making multiple reservations, we are in the process of shifting our whole park plan to accomodate for my parents and the DDs class and I am cancelling almost as soon as I get new ones made.)

My biggest dilemma at the moment is Thursday, September 15th. That's my anniversary and I really want to eat at Ohana. The issue is that we will be at Hollywood studios that day and getting to the Polynesian from HS with my dad in a motorized wheelchair/cart thingie (what are those darned things called?) is problematic. Should I keep the ressie or look for something closer and ditch my dream of eating at Ohana?

What would you guys do?

Take the bus from Hollywood Studios to the Polynesian. Your dad will be loaded on the bus first since he'll be in an ecv/scooter. You can still fulfill your dream of eating at Ohana!

I would keep O'hana! We ate there last year and LOVED it! We cant wait to go back again. If you're at HS just take a bus to the Magic Kingdom and then the monorail right to the Poly. Or if they have a TTC bus at HS take that then walk right to the Poly. It really shouldnt be a problem at all.

I just had a moment.. I forgot you could just take a bus right to the Poly from HS :rotfl: And here I am making your trip much more complicated then it needs to be!

Bus to Poly sounds like a good plan.
I had a few double reservations for a couple days when we considered switching to onsite and using free dining. I totally understand a few overlapping reservations while you figure it out but there are so many people that make oodles of reservations and never cancel them. THAT makes me cuckoo.
