September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

When I saw ur post I was like:scared1: Because I am the travel coordinator of this trip---right Robin!!;)

This is correct!!!:)

Okay, since we seem to be crossing paths a lot, I just HAVE to know what date your Cape May ressies are on. We have a 5:10 pm reservation on the 27th. We intend to go back to our room, get ready for MNSSHP, then hit Cape May before the party. It would be great if our dinner reservations crossed over!:rotfl:

We are going on the 28th at 5pm for Cape May. But we will be at MNSSHP on the 27th, so dont forget we are meeting at the parade:goodvibes

Don't feel like you're cheating on Mickey! I have all intentions of doing a day at WWoHP, and I am just as excited about that day as I am anything else. I cannot wait to do a walkthrough of Hogsmeade!

Carowinds is already seeing HORRIBLE wait times for coasters, but it's probably because it's already hot here (we're talking 90s already, ugh!). My oldest DD and her friends decided they wanted to do the Intimidator last Saturday, and they waited almost an hour before deciding they would rather go elsewhere in the park!:rotfl2: I am headed back May 27 with my youngest DD, and the safety patrol at her school. Then we've decided to go back as a family two weekends after that. They've decided as a group that I simply need more coasters to break my phobias.:laughing:I'm actually excited, though, as they are getting ready to open up the water park!:woohoo:

Sounds like you should get a season pass after all these visits. I think I am taking the kids to get their passes today!!

What other ressie's did you do? I feel like I have alot! And I don't have Delux dining just plus so I have to cancel one. Here is my schedule--
Sat--HOB(no disney dining plan)
Sun--HS--Chef Mickey's Dinner
Mon- waterpark--1900 Park Fare dinner
Tues--MK--Crystal Palace lunch--MNSSHP
Weds- waterpark--Cape May dinner
thurs--AK --tusker breakfast--Whispering Canyon dinner
Friday--Akershus Breakfast---epcot--teppan edo dinner
Sat--Ohana breakfast---hang out and go home:eek:

It seems I have 10 ADR's and 7 free table service slots:rolleyes1
HOB doesn't count that has to be paid....so 9 that can count. I will either cancel CP and pay for Ohana's out of pocket or just pay for the cheapest meals and keep them all....still deciding!:confused3

Please tell me why in the world it is so hard for me to decide where to have dinner at in Epcot?!?! :confused3 I made that poll and a lot of people brought up Coral Reef and Garden Grill. They sound way better than Biergarten. I had no problem at all coming up with the other places we're dining at. I need to just let go and have my DH and DS pick the place... :scared1: Thoughts or suggestions?!

I say Teppan Edo!! I haven't eaten there BUT I love Hibatchi and I seen great reviews on it. I read a thread that it got rave reviews over Le Cellier. Anyhow that's where I am going and so excited I am getting hungry thinking about it. I might have to go to one around her soon!!

Monday we are doing a WP too. Just not sure if it will be TL or BB yet. Whichever we don't do Monday we will be doing Friday.

Did you check availability at all the restaurants at Epcot? Maybe one has a more desirable time available over another?

I actually have a reservation at both, both times are fine. This is what is making it harder!

We are on the QSDP this year we just prefer it. But I have done the reg plan alot. My favorite place at Epcot to eat is Arkshurs breakfest and Garden grill diner. I haven't eaten at any of the other places. I try to make my dining reservations around the kids. We did eat at Coral Reef 2 times never again. Both times the service was super slow and we had a long wait to get our table even with adr.

Last year we paid OP for Crystal Palace,Garden grill and rainforest. So I can see paying for a couple of meal op. This year we are limiting to 2 so we are doing t-rex and Tusker house breafest.

The hardest part of planning for me is adr's. We are still thinking of upgrading but I just don't look forward to adr's. Trying to find a place to eat somewhere to keep the kids happy and dh and I happy also. I don't know how someone can do all the adr's for huge parites. I would loose my mind.:scared1:

I didn't participate in your poll, but I would suggest Teppan Edo or Chef de France. They are both ones we go back to over and over. Good luck!

I like watching "Pick a Pearl" but even though my DD has the pearl as her birthstone, I have tooooo many that I don't wear.:confused3 I love getting excited when people doing it score big...

I've heard that you're supposed to pick the ugliest, nastiest, and hairiest oyster in the tank to get the best pearl. Any truth to that?

I don't know, but it's a thought! I was just looking at Pick-a-Pearl videos at Epcot on You Tube. Getting it done in Japan at Epcot looks really neat. We'll have to try that one year! (All the oysters kind of look the same to me!)

I was one of the votes cast for Coral Reef.... we love it there so we haven't gotten around to trying most of the other restaurants at Epcot (last year we went to Le Cellier before they went signature). I say give your family a voice, give them your top options and see what sounds better to them.

We're going to Garden Grill, the kids are excited b/c some of the food comes from Living with the Land and you get to see Chip n Dale and the restaurant ROTATES through different weather 'climates' I'm also on the edge but I've heard that Tepan Edo is no different than the Hibachis we already have here..... and that Coral Reef can smell a little ripe if its hot out.... LOL

My husbands boat needs to decide when its coming home so I can nail down my reservations!!!!!

ShhhQ- What entrees do you like at Coral Reef? My husband and son want to go there... I'm honestly fine with either of them. I just want to make sure that we all enjoy our food.

Do you remember it smelling ripe? :lmao: I had to giggle at that terminology!

After doing some Mickey math. We were going to upgrade the dining plan 200.00. We were paying for 2 Ts meals op so it would equal out the same minus the tips.

Then we were going to pay to rent a fridge for 10 days 120.00. The cost to upgrade to a moderate ended up being 430.00. So we are offically at CBR. I did manage to get some good adr's but I wanted a HDDR. But there is nothing but a 9pm show my girls won't make that for sure. They would be ultra crank pants by then.

Here is the worst part I need to keep this a secret from DH. He don't care about the money part. But I'm doing this beaucse he is a huge pool fan and his 40th birthday is in October so I thought this would be a good surprise.

We are going back to the Coral Reef and Garden Grill this year. We have only been to GG once, the Coral Reef we have been to several times. I have never noticed it smelling ripe though and we go in late August. I usually order the steak, I just can't eat seafood with fish staring at me!:rotfl2: My youngest son asked to go back to the Garden Grill and it is a neat restaurant, I remember the food being good, but not memorable. We had the best character interaction there though. If you do eat at GG ask for a booth on the lower level so you can see more of the Living with the Land scenery.
