September 2011 - The Planning Continues! (2nd Thread)

Just wanted to update all you guys! Went to the doctor for DS today regarding his burns. The doctor said he is making great progress! In fact most of his burns are scabbed over and his deepest ones have gotten so tiny that the doctor said in 4-5 days they should be healed as well :banana: With the exception of some redness (which could last up to a year) he should be back to normal by next tuesday! So excited to hear this news, they predicted a month and it looks like it might only take him 2.5 weeks total!

So glad to hear!! Now forgive urself:) Us mom's are so hard on ourselves!!

We got our MNSSHP tickets today, are you unimpressed with them? I was. I remember when we went in 2006 the cards were actually Halloween themed and this time, not at all. :confused3

ITA ::yes:: This will be our 5th MNSSHP and I do miss the Halloween themed tickets...they were so cute and a nice souvenir! The tickets have been generic for awhile now so I knew that would be the case this year too, but I was still excited to get them! :goodvibes

Just another example of a cost-cutting measure by Disney :sad2: You would think with the ever increasing prices of the special event tickets they could at the very least continue to make them themed :confused3

That is great news!!! :cheer2:

It's amazing how quickly kids can bounce back! My 4 year old had really restricted range of motion after she fell and broke her arm but now it's completely normal and you would have never known she broke it in the first place. It feels so good when they get over the worst part, glad he's on the mend!

Doing the :cool1: dance! Just made a First Haircut apt for my DD got the exact time I wanted!

Ok, now I am calling today to get an appointment at the HBS for my DS's first haircut! I didn't even think about making an appointment. Thank you for saying you did!

Glad to hear he is doing better.
Hi all -

I haven't been on disboards for a while so I'm just posting to see my ticker

Happy countdown everyone :)

Never a bad thing.

Yeah last year they were plain too. There was a special Photo Pass card for the party that was Halloween themed....

I know we need to fill our PP card this year since we have the memories package and get a photobook. I want to make sure I have lots to choose from.

Hi everyone. We are in for the World in Sept also.
We are going from Sept 4th thru the 11th. We are surprising my daughter with the trip for her 4th B-day.princess: It will also be my son's 1st Disney trip!
I can't wait!!!! We lucked out with it. My parents are members of a timeshare company that is a partner with the DVC so they are gifting me one of their weeks and we exchanged it for a week at the Wilderness Lodge Villas. If they didn't do that for us there was no way we would be going. It's been almost 3 years since we've been and I'm going thru withdrawl.

:welcome: It sounds like a magical trip!!!

Not only are we going in September, but as a warm-up we are going to see the Lion King on Broadway about a week before we leave. :upsidedow

How exciting!!! Beauty and the Beast is coming to Chicago, and I am really thinking about taking my oldest daughter....

No problem!:cool1: I'm glad to help! I read on here about making an apt and this way we won't have to wait as long. When I called I got my exact time I asked for!

I forgot I got some VHS's at the big baby sale and just when through them today and one of them is this: Thought you all might enjoy

This movie is STILL in our collection, even though my DDs are getting some age on them. We're looking forward to the new Pooh movie that's coming out; the Hundred Acre Woods characters are our favorites!

I am so excited about the new Pooh movie! It will be refreshing to have a true family movie in the theaters that is safe for everyone to watch. Since some of Disney's other movies can be a little dark and scary for young ones, I'm so happy to see Pooh coming to the big screen!

My kids have already seen the ads for KungFu Panda 2 and Cars 2 and asked to go. We've never taken Paul to a movie (he won't be three til July) but I am thinking of trying it on Cars.

What do you guys think about taking a toddler to a movie theater (bear in mind we'd do a matinee and it's a small city only about 35K people).

Also, we've had drama this week. My sister and her bf had some financial meltdowns and decided they couldn't afford to go! :sad1: They finally sat down (they've been living together for six months) and worked out their financial situation and a household budget! I am so proud of her!

So, we were scrambling to figure out what to do with the extra bed. My parents are...different. Not everyone would feel comfortable around them and we wanted this to be a family trip...so mom and dad offered to front the money for sister and bf to go. Yay! We are back on! It's been a rollercoaster this week between we're going, we're not going!:scared1:

Finally, looking around, I found the Disney Youth Education Series while surfing with DD and she decided that she's way more interested in going to the Ocean Discovery Class at Epcot than the halloween party. We are going to save almost $175 on tickets thanks to the kiddo wanting to take a class at Disney World!

She's going to go to Epcot on September 12th and spend 3 hours learning about the ocean, sustainable fishing, and designing a device to keep turtles out of fishing nets. She also gets to hang out around the huge aquarium at Epcot!

Talk about a crazy week!

Hoping it's not too late to join the "club"!!
We will be traveling September 25-30th and staying at POR.
It's the girls first Disney Trip and also a suprise!!!
We are so ready for it to be here!!!!

I bring my youngest who is 3 to the movies quite a bit. She does good for the most part. She isn't the trype to sit still for long. So I was a little worried. But popcorn is her favortie so that works well. I will be bringing her to see Cars 2 also. Riley will be on a dinsey cruise with my parents so I'm going to do a few things with Reese while she is gone on her 2 week vacation with my parents.
