So stinkin cute!! :thumbsup2 I transported a patient to OSF Children's Hospital the other night at work.....I waved and shouted "hi" to ya! :yay:

Ok, here are Mikella's dance solos from last Sunday's recital. Centerfield is her brand new one. In fact, it's not really even finished yet, but recital snuck up on us too quickly so we had to just end it "as is". She's still refining it for all the summer shows. She forgets a lot of parts, but I'll post a better video in a couple months when she has it down pat! She also seems to have a hard time dancing in those clunky sequin shoes! LOL!

Here is her tap solo.....she's been doing this one for awhile, so I'm not sure why she forgot bits and pieces of this one. LOL! Oh well.

If I can figure out how to share a public link from my FB page to my videos on there, I can show you a few more of her solos. Her VERY first solo, last April, at age 4 was my FAV!

Oh Basketkat! I love your polka dot dress! That is sooo cute!

Happy Easter to all, hope everyone had a wonderful day with their families. Just sitting down to watch a movie with mine, and it makes me wonder when exactly did you know Disney was that special place for you? Or if its your first trip you're planning, what exactly is it about Disney that has you so enamored with it?
(when I have more time I'll post mine!)

Faith, Trust, and Pixie Dust! :goodvibes

Happy Easter! I'm not sure I can put into words why Disney is such a special place for me, but I wanted to comment on your great question. You always know what to post to get us thinking and talking! :)

I went when I was 6 and then didn't really give it another thought until I was in college. Finally went in 2009 and have been totally obsessed since planning that. I guess now that I know what a all-around magical place it is, I just want to be there all the time. My husband loves it because he can relax and let Disney do the driving and me do the planning.

So somehow during DD1's nap today I found myself here:

Boy they have lots of yummy sounding stuff.:stir::cake::drinking1

It would be fun to try and make one of theses things.

Although I have never been to the brown derby, and have no plans to go anytime soon, I made the grapefruit cake. I used a recipe on a thread here on the dis, and it was soooooo good. Mmmm.. going to have to make it again soon.

I went a few times when I was a kid and I liked it so in 2006 when they played those commercials where the kids were in bed, dreaming of disney, and the parents were whispering about how affordable it was, we went. I loved it. DH and I couldn't stop reminiscing about the trip once we got home and we kept calling it the best week of our lives. I was hooked, but DH wasn't quite there yet ;) He had a great time but didn't really attribute it to wdw, just a really great vaca. When we went again in 2009 DH got the bug. The day of check out he just stared at me and asked if we could just stay another night. He then spent the whole ride home talking about going back.

So although I was  in 2006, it didn't really become our place until 2009 because as much fun as it is to obsess alone it is way more fun to obsess as a family :cool1:

I finished on of my daughter's pillowcase dresses for one of our Magic Kingdom days. She loves it! :lovestruc

Great job on the dress!! I wish I was talented enough to do something like that. I cheat and order off etsy. LOL

Hope everyone had a nice easter.

:cool1::cool1: DH just found out the job site he is on is going to have overtime every week for a looong time. Is it wrong my first thought was "I need to go make some more ADRs!!" :lmao:

For me, I went twice as a kid, and those were some of our fondest memories. We didn't have much money, but Mom saved up and we drove down from NY. (I didn't realize until I was an adult and planning my first Disney trip as a Mom just how tight things were for *my* Mom.) So Disney has always been special for me. I remember my Mom ordered maps several months ahead of time, and my sister and I would sit and plan which rides we wanted to go on and what we wanted to see. So I've always been a planner!:rotfl:

My DH had never been to Disney when we went there as a family in 2007. He liked it, but is not quite the fanatic I am. He enjoys himself, and always gives his input when I ask him questions. He has never once asked to go somewhere else, but just isn't *quite* as excited about it. The kids, however, take after me!:lmao:

Happy Easter from a couple hours southwest of ya! :goodvibes We can actually see the sun this weekend! Can you? Now hopefully my jungle of a yard will dry out long enough for me to get it mowed before it rains again! ;)

The weekend was wonderful :cloud9: but now we are back to rain, rain, and more rain , bleh

I always wanted to go to WDW as a child and dreamed about it but my mom had me very young and got divorced from my father when I was a few years old. She just couldn't afford to take us :sad1: I was determined to take my children to Disney because I had missed out and in September of 2007 my dreams came true and I went to Disney for the very first time ever as an adult :cloud9: and the magic of experiencing everything for the first time, along with experiencing all the firsts through the eyes of my two children (4 and 15 months at the time) was truly a childhood dream come true for me. We went over my birthday and we celebrated my actual birthday eating breakfast in Cinderella castle overlooking Fantasyland and it was the most amazing, surreal moment for me pixiedust: and I have been hooked ever since :goodvibes

No I have some extra kids for ths summer. So we are thinking of upgrading to a moderate. The only problem is we think we will miss pop. We really do love it there. We are there for 10 days so the little bit of space would come in handy and the fridge. But I'm not sure that is enough to make me want to change .
