September 2011 Check-in... Dates and Ressies?

Congratulations on your first trip and VGC. Happy Anniversary! I know it is disappointing about POTC and BB but there is so much to do. Pirates is easily my favorite "family ride", so we share in your disappointment. Disneyland is magical and makes you feel like a kid again. The DCA events as well as WOC have not been added... my speculation is they are waiting to see how the if and when they will begin the Halloween version.

Kris

You are right. We are moving past the disappointment of POTC and BB (this will give us something special to look forward to for our next visit). Your post reminded me that DL will be decorated for Halloween. I love that here at WDW and from the pics I've seen they do it up even better at DL!!

Hi Goofy4Pooh and Dink37,

General consensus is Napa Rose if you like expensive gourmet, Steakhouse 55 if your a Meat and potatoes kind of people, Carnation Cafe Soup and Sandwiches or Cafe Orleans if you want similar food to Blue Bayou. Check out Allears.net for menus and general prices.

We are also going for our anniversary and are planning on celebrating at Carnation Cafe where the Baked potato soup is yummy. :)

Wine Country Tratoria or Ariel might also be options if you want to get preferred dining WOC standing spots.

Kris

DH and I are not really into the fancy, formal dining. It's not the expense, it's just not us. Already planning to try out Carnation Cafe and Cafe Orleans for lunch or dinner on another day and would like to try Wine Country Tatoria or Ariel but not the night we do WOC as DH is partially disabled and not able to stand for that amount of time so we will most likely be renting a wheelchair the night we see it. I think we have it narrowed down to Steakhouse 55 or Jazz Kitchen.

Thanks for all the helpful advice Kris :goodvibes

OH, I forgot about Jazz Kitchen, that is our other sit down meal for this trip. Lunch is definitely less expensive but they have some good dinner options. I hear you about the fancy dinners though because that is not us either. I prefer not to order food that I can not pronounce! :lmao:

Possible closure 9/26 to 9/28 Mark Twain. Please checkout post number 1 to make sure your dates and hotel are correct and up to date. Most of us can start making Dining Reservations from 8am to 9pm at 714-781-3463. I have one individual Hoku looking to do a meet. If anyone else is interested in having a meet please let me know.

We'll be in the area Sept 23-30th at the Ramada Maingate. Finally got DH to check work schedules so we could make reservations. Halloweentime, DH first visit to a Disney park, time with my best friend from High school, and first real vacation since our honeymoon 2 years ago!
:yay:

PS I have to tell someone. DH really doesn't like the idea of crowds but I want to see all the evening fireworks/shows so I am going to get fantasmic seating and surprise him when we get there!

We are going to be at HOJO Sept 4-9, in the parks the 5, 6, 7, 8, 9

Added your dates. Have a wonderful trip!

We'll be there Sept 7-9 and staying at Ramada Maingate

:welcome: to the boards. Sounds like a wonderful trip and a fabulous break from your absolutely hectic life with three one year olds. :dance3:

Ooh ooh I wanna join! We're going to be in Anaheim 14, 15 & 16 September, staying at the Desert Inn & Suites. We'll be spending 15 & 16 at Disney so will catch the first day / night of Halloween.

We've done WDW many times before but this will be our first trip to DL and I'm sooo excited  It's our first wedding anniversary on 20 September - a few days after we've left but still going to celebrate with some Disney magic whilst we're at the parks :lovestruc:love::lovestruc

Hopefully will be adding dates. I know we will be in Southern California August 28th so we are pulling for dates in September. Cross our fingers it all works out. We purchased APs during our trip in July, so how could it not?! :)

WOO HOO!! Just booked our annual Disneyland/Southern California vacation. We will be there from 9/9/11-9/18/11 staying at the PPH. This will be our first on-site stay and we have been going annually for 12 years :) It is great they are offering the great rates right now for PPH, I really hope it is worth it. We usually stay on Harbor Blvd, but those rates aren't always wonderful. We were able to get 9 nights at PPH 3 adults 1 child 6 day park hopper passes, the free Character meals, and all of the VISA perks for $2270. I really thought that was a great deal!! Any of you veterans out there?? Does that sound like a great deal for the PPH? I have been enjoying reading all of the reviews and tricks of PPH and looking forward to experiencing it.

So, for those of us crazy enough to attempt Labor Day weekend, any tips on working around the Half Marathon?
