September 2011 Check-in... Dates and Ressies?

Late in the game, but we are going September 2-5th for a SURPRISE weekend! We are so excited...never surprised the kids before. We are getting APs this trip and planning a whole year of DL fun!!!

We are staying at Desert Inn. I have ressies at Cafe Orleans, Big Thunder BBQ, and Minnies.

It was very difficult for me to plan this trip knowing that HM is down for refurb. But I had to put my selfishness aside and look at all the rides going down on the 6th! Honestly, I think my kids would be more upset over Pirates than HM. And they would absolutely hate to miss Screamin. So it's all good.

Surprising the kids ought to be fun and as this is the marathon weekend you will have lots of Disboard company. We will miss Pirates and Screaming but I would rather have closures than not be able to go at all! I have added your dates to the first post and please let us know how the surprise goes!

Looks like a fun trip. I have been wondering how crowded the MM is going to be on Thursday. We are also planning WOC for Thursday so maybe we'll bump into each other. If you see a gigantic guy with a virtual midget coralling 4 girls (one of which towers over Mom) that is probably us .

DH is 6'5" me I'm stretching to reach 4' 11" (can't sit in front seat of splash Te he he) My 5' 7" daughter gets that honor cause DH needs the leg room the back seat provides!

On 10/2 we are driving to Los Angeles port to cruise on the Disney Wonder. We are doing the Halloween party on 9/30, haven't planned anything more......yet!

Day trip with kids awesome! You may find yourself tired or want a break so a hotel room might be just the ticket. Have a wonderful time with the kids.

We will be there from 9/24 to 9/28 staying at the Desert Inn and Suites. This is our third trip as a family but we haven't been since 2005 so we're super excited. We haven't told our kids yet but will in the next few days. Haven't figured out a special way to tell them yet. My 5 year old princess is going to be beside herself as she's waited for this her whole life for this! LOL! We will be driving down from Seattle arriving Saturday afternoon, starting DL on Sunday morning.

With about a month to go until our trip, my wife, 4-year old daughter and myself went to the Disney Store Outlet Store at the Arizona Mills Mall in Tempe, AZ and bought a bunch of stuff for the trip.
We got our daughter an outfit for each day of our trip, a couple t-shirts for myself, a couple shirts for the wife and a new Mickey bag. We also got a couple pair of pjs for the kid.
