September 2010**SURPRISING THE SLEEPING SONS **9/14...Day 6

New to the boards, but so excited for our 2nd surprise Disney visit! My name is jill I'm 29,My DH Mike is 29 and our two DS, michael 12 and ryan 10. We will be visiting disney sept 19th thru the 28th. our last trip was april 2008, can someone please let me know will i notice a big diffrence in the crowds, hope they will be much better this time around. still trying to work out some trip details. Wondering what days will be best for waterparks, last trip we didn't go to the waterparks this time i have them on our tickets, and soo excited!! We will be staying at the ASM, we stayed here on our last trip, our oldest ds would like to stay at sports, but we liked the movies resort soo much last time. Another new thing for us is the dinning plan, I have free quick service dinning. I did not get the dp last time, hoping for some pointers, i'm still a little confused about the best places to eat and to get snacks! Any trip suggestions are welcome! I'm also trying to fiqure out when to let my kids in on the surprise. I was somewhat dissapointed no star tours for us ( one of our favorites!) re-hab til may.

OK, so I didn't originally book my trip with the dinning plan, that wasn't offered at the time we booked. But I was pleasantly surprised that I was able to add that on! So I do have some ADR's that I will just pay for, seeing how I only have quick service dinning. My trip plan is still a working progress, still undecided about somethings, but here it is for now:

Arrival day, we will be driving so arrival won't be til at least 2 or 3pm. hopefully we won't be to tired from driving, but last trip went fine.


Sun: Magic Kingdom (exm)

Mon:HS, ADR, Sci- fi 4:20pm

Tues: Epcot
maybe a waterpark in the am

Wed: AK Tusker house 8:30, breakfast with Donald

Thur: HS, Fantasmic
Maybe am waterpark???

Fri: Epcot, Garden grill 4pm (one of our fav)

Sat: Still unsure based on park hours, I can't make up my mind

Sun: MK??

Mon: HS, maybe, T-rex adr at 4pm, so this day is still a little undecided

Tue: We leave, so maybe early morning at AK or epcot


So any suggestions are great towards the end of trip is still up in the air.

Hi Jill! We are going Sept 19th - Sept 26th. It'll be myself, DS 16, DS15, my sister and her DD 11 and DS 5. Here is how we have planned our trip.....

Mon - MK
TU - MK (MNSSHP) Breakfast at Crystal Palace
WED - AK Breakfast at Tuskar House
THU - HS (Fantasmic)
FRI - EP
SAT - EP

Crowds should be fairly low, and I am hoping that it doesn't rain too much as it is the end of their rainy season. As for quick dining we like.....

MK - Cosmic Rays, Columbia House (I think that's the name of it) it's by Haunted Mansion.

AK - Yak and Yeti Express, Flaming Tree BBQ

EP - I can't think of the name of it, but it is the Quick Dining restaurant in the same building as Soarin. We also like the Quick Dining Restaurant in Morocco.

HS - ABC Commissary, the Back Lot restaurant.

Hi Sleeping Jilly!
We will be at WDW Sept 18th-24th. We are driving down on the 17th. We're going the get the kids out of school early on that Friday & drive on down & stay at a hotel outside of WDW. I wanted to have a full day on our 1st day.
It looks like we will be in the same parks on several days. You need to post some pics of you & your family so I can wave at you if we pass!

Hotels outside of WDW are dirt cheap. We went down a day early last time & stayed in a hotel for $55.

You can go to this site to learn how to post pictures. It gives a video tutorial on how to post images on the board. You do need a photobucket account to post pictures. It took me forever to figure it all out.

Ok so I have realized I completly neglected my ptr... The weeks have been flying by. Yesterday was first day of school for my kids. I don't have any pics of that because my camera is not working right, hopefully I will be getting a new one this week or next week! I think I might be talking to myself but, oh well...

Traveling/ day one plans
Sept. 19th
We will be driving down to disney, it should take about 9 hours or so
( depending on bathroom stops!) My original plans were to leave around 5am, due to the fact my husband was supposed to race his dirt car that saturday night... Now I don't think he will be racing so maybe if I can manage to get up earlier,we can leave around 3 or 4am. ( I am not a morning person, however I probably won't be sleeping much the night before,if at all.) My problem is if my kids can get up, with them not knowing where we are going it might be difficult to get them up at 3 am! I have been keeping this trip a secret for about 8 months, which was hard but I think it will be worth it. I'm not sure when we plan on telling them... we might just see if the guess?? If we leave at 4am we should get there around 1pm, we might stop at cracker barrel on the way, my favorite! So anyways day one will be spent at Magic Kingdom!!! My goal this day is to get my kids on space mountian!! last time they didn't want to, also dinner at cosmic rays, i've never been there, other than that the rest is pretty open. We might see wishes or wait until we plan on seeing the parade. (still confused on which one it will be)

My husband, Brad, had a race car a few years back. He still misses racing.

oh I guess I should have known that, i'm on here quite a bit I just don't have much to say sometimes... how do you get your font color diffrent everytime I try it doesn't work? usually people don't think i'm "mom" so that's why i said that about the pic. My husband loves his race car, but it is expensive to race every week. I think he's already missing it after a couple of weeks. By the way thanks for following along on my lonely ptr!!!

DHS... Extra magic hours, today we plan on getting most of the rides in, we will be doing shows a different day. I would like to eat breakfast at the hotel this day and be at DHS for rope drop. Fastpass for TSMM and i'm not too sure after that, whatever the boys would like. I would like to go back to ASM for a swim break. Haven't decided on a quick service dinner resturant yet... I would also like to ride ToT at night, I haven't done that yet.
However this could be a waterpark day in the morning, but I think we might save those for later in the week.
