September 2010 Check-In

Single Digits! Gotta love it when you get down to single digits! :cool1:

Next milestone: One week and counting in two days...:thumbsup2

Hi, I've been lurking for sometime now. It's official were coming (Sept 25-Oct 1). I got a deal at the Grand for the 28-1, but need a hotel for the first 3 days since they are booked up. Thought we'd try staying outside of the park as to compare the two experiences. Any opinions on the Hyatt Regency or Doubletree Suites? Both have pretty good rates and great reviews on Trip Advisor. Any help would be sooooo appreciated. It's our first family trip for the kids EVER! So we're totally excited. Thanks for anyone's response to these two hotels.

We stayed in the 2 queen/2 room suite at the Doubletree Guest Suites Anaheim Resort/Convention Center the day after Christmas and really enjoyed it. It was nice and had just enough room for the six of us (4 adults, 2 children). I would recommend this hotel!:)

I just booked AP rate for the Grand Californian for Friday night 9/10. We are attending the Verizon after hours party. We aren't using any of our GAD passes at this time as I am upgrading to passes as my family's expire. (None of ours expire at the same time, which is much easier on the pocketbook.)

AP rate has not been available on that date for a while, but it popped up last night.

Boomer! something unexpected happened and we will not be able to go next week as scheduled!!:sad2:
So take me out of the September list, we'll be checking in until November :sad1:

Oh so sorry soaring girl....that's heartbreaking!

We are at 11 days, and I can't hardly stand it!

Are any of our September peeps back? I'd love to hear some updates- crowds, WOC, etc.

We are potentially in the same boat. We are scheduled to leave on the 16th and FIL is in the hospital. :sad1: If we don't go next week, we will probably be going the first week in November.

Hi September people!

Please add me to your list. We'll be there 9/26-10/1 staying at VGC. Our first ever stay on Disney property and first ever stay as DVC members. We're taking our parents along too.

Getting very excited now and starting to plan the details. I am bummed that TSMM will be closed, but looking forward to WOC. I see that fireworks and Fantasmic will only happen on 9/26 of our stay so is it possible to see both in the same night? Also more than likely our parents will need scooters this trip. Are there areas for scooter\wheelchair parking for both fireworks and Fantasmic? If so, would we be allowed to stand near them so we don't have to separate??

Another call for a meet up if anyone is interested! I'll be there from the 23rd to the 27th ;) Waiting for others who are interested before picking an actual day/time.

24-26th is good for me.

Just planned a last minute trip to disney. I was going for a convention in anaheim and didn't want my son to miss school. But with the ability to use my FF miles for free seats for the wife and son decided why not enjoy disney again 4 months after the last trip. I was trying to get into VGC but at this last minute NOTHING was available for my stay from sept 13 till sept 22. At least we get to see fireworks three nights and world of color everynight.

Oh, Soaring girl and Kayla's Mom, I am so sorry for both of you!! I hope things will be o.k. for all of you!!! :)

((((HUGS!!!!)))) :goodvibes

Add us to the list. My DH and I just decided to celebrate our 3rd anniversary (Sept 15th) at Disneyland. We are planning to stay at the DLH just for one night, Sept 14th. We will arrive about 2:00pm and head over to CA to see WOC and then do DL on the 15th.

And if there is a meet and greet schedule on either day, we would be interested.

We'll be checking into the HOJO Anaheim ONE SHORT (or long) WEEK from today!

Yaaaa-hooooo! :woohoo::woohoo::woohoo:
