I'll keep my eyes peeled!

Dh and I are flying down for a quick trip without the kidlets!! We will be in the parks Sept 16th-17th, not sure where we will stay yet.

DH has agreed to ordering WOC picnics :cool1::cool1:

Here's hoping they're still doing nightly shows in the end of Sept!

Hello! I was super excited to have just read your pre-TR for Sept. 2010. My family and I are planning to be there Sept. 15th-20th, do you think that HM and Space will be open for Halloween. You had put that you heard all the Halloween Stuff should be ready on Sept. 17th. I will be taking my 2 sons who love HM and Space. Thanks! Love your thread! THANKS!:cheer2:

Forgot- We will be staying at GC. It will be our first time staying there. We usually stay at DH. The boys are so excited! DS12 and DS4. DS4 is finally 41inches! Thanks again for all the great info!!!:thumbsup2

Sounds like to makings of a great trip!

I sure am keeping my fingers crossed! I really hope that it's not strictly a weekend thing by the time the end of September rolls around. I would hate to have to make the decision on what entertainment gets cut and what entertainment stays on my agenda.

My understanding is that all Halloween themed stuff should be up and running on September 17th, which means Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy should be open on your dates barring anything unexpected happens. So the only thing there is if they'll be cool with it not being traditional HM or SM.

:thumbsup2 I hope you love your stay. I absolutely adore the GCH and would love to be staying there again. It's a beautiful hotel. It almost feels like home to me, since it's done in the same style that my grandfather does his wood working and built his last two houses. Absolutely amazing.

Alrighty. I'm getting the OP updated again if there's anything else anyone would like added. Event info (expos, etc.), links to trip reports, possible meet ups, and all that jazz.

OK, quick check-in with my ever-changing details...:)
My new dates are 9/25-9/30. Still staying at the HoJo in the kids suite. One date has been claimed for ET...still wishing for more to pop-up!:wizard:
I am hoping that WOC is nightly so I don't have to try and cram that in during the weekend with F! and Fireworks. Would like to try the WOC picnic but glad we are Fall visitors and have the advantage of all the kinks to be worked-out this summer.popcorn::
We are planning the 5 for 3 deal and hopefully upgrading to AP's. I am saving "extra" money in an envelope (like mileage reimbursment from work, ebay sales, a dollar here...a dollar there) That way the DH won't think the upgrade for 5 tickets is tooo much...if I have the cash-o-la saved!
I have already started planning a Holiday trip with my AP's I don't even have yet!:lmao:
Gee...maybe I should start a PreTripReport!

We were going back and forth about our dates, but have decided we are going September 15-19. Our 5th wedding anniversary is on the 16th and we really would like to be in the parks that day as Disney is very special in our marriage. He proposed to me on my first ever trip to Disneyland, and we spent our honeymoon at WDW, and on a Disney cruise. We ate really looking forward to going, though I am sad we will miss the Halloween fireworks. We'll be staying in a premium room at the Ramada Maingate.

So, I thought this might interest some people, the Fall refurbishment schedule (link):

I think the real kick in the pants is that TSMM is going to be closed for all of September. :sad2:

That stinks! What a bummer! Oh well, will just have to plan another trip....

We had a brief period of mourning when we found out! It's one of our favorite rides! We were prepared to miss HM, but not this one. I wonder what's going on that they need to close it for a whole month.

I guess I can't complain too much though - we'll be at Disneyland! :goodvibes

Geez, that's a pretty long refurb for a ride that's only been open a couple years.

Sad. I was really hoping to ride it again. We rode it in January 2009 and the lines were pretty short so we got to go on it a few times. At WDW this past January, we only got to do it once (with a fast pass) because their lines were horrible! So I was looking forward to doing it at DL again. BOO!

I am starting to get very excited, and our trip is starting to feel more "real". It has been so long since we have gone. My 4-year old keeps saying, "it's taking soooo long"! I have to purchase our return airline tix- so far we only have departing tix. I'm kind of waiting because I'm a little unsure as to whether or not my baby will be flying home early w/ dad, or staying on with us the extra 2-3 days. I don't think I can handle all 4 kids alone in DL.

Our thoughts exactly. We're already planning a return trip in mid-October so we can catch TSMM (we've never been on it) and go to a Halloween Party at DL.

In all reality, I was expecting worse for the ride closures. We all knew HM & SM would be down for the holiday overlay, but the list of rides being closed for refurbs isn't too bad.

We are in the same situation. If I had it my way though, we would never purchase the return tickets and just stay in SoCal! :cool1:

I've already posted my dates on here but I just needed to tell someone.... I AM GETTING SOOOOOOOOO EXCITED FOR SEPTEMBER!!!!!!!! I cannot think about anything else! We are starting out in Las Vegas on Monday August 30th staying for 3 nights in a comp room at Palazzo, heading to Disneyland on Thursday, September 2nd staying in a theme-park view at GCH for 4 nights, and leaving on Labor Day, and driving down to San Diego (first time visit to SD!) for 3 nights in an ocean-view room at the Pacific Terrace hotel to finish our trip! I also have a camaro SS booked to surprise DH for his bday! I plan on calling tomorrow AM to book reservations at Naples, Blue Bayou, Cafe Orleans, Carnation Cafe, Goofys Kitchen, and a WOC package at Ariels Grotto. We also have tickets for a dodger game Friday night, and a dodgers/padres game in San Diego! Hurry up August 30!!!!!!!!!!! :)
