September 2010 Check-In

I'm loving this! A whole bunch of new September DIS'ers!! :cool1:

Will you be in the Parks on the day of the 17th? You may just get to experience the Halloween transformation since Halloweentime starts September 17!

Thanks for the welcome!! Long time lurker, finally decided to join in all the efun! :rolleyes1

We will be in the park on the 17th! Our original plan was to be there BEFORE the halloween festivites [we love them, but we've seen them many times]. However, since DL moved it up a week, we should get the best of both worlds. Our flight doesn't leave until 8:00 that night, so we will be in the park at least 1/2 the day. Hope to get one ride on the HM!

I hope you get to ride HM at least once too! I'm wondering when they're going to close HM to have the overlay ready for the start of Halloweentime. If it's gonna be right after Labor Day again and then be set to open on the 17th. That would seem a shorter time frame than they normally have. But we'll see! And what I love about HMH? Fast Passes, lol. :rotfl:

There will still probably be a little bit of Halloween decorations for the entirety of your trip. I remember being there in early-ish September last year and got to see a little. But everything should be up on the 17th!

Add us to the September list, please!

We'll be arriving on September 3rd and staying through September 7th. We just booked our room at the GCH last night, so now we just need to figure out if we're going to drive or fly. We're leaning towards driving this time unless some really, really good airfares pop.

DH and I will be running the Disneyland Half-Marathon on Sunday the 5th, so this trip is centered around that event. We have Deluxe APs, so we'll be using those on Friday, Monday, and Tuesday. DH, DD7, and I earned GAD tickets a few months ago with an activity arranged by DD's Girl Scout troop working with a shelter and sewing up toys and beds for the animals. We're going to use the tickets for entrance on Saturday and we'll buy a blockout ticket for DD4. On Sunday, after running for 13 miles, DH and I willl play it by ear whether we want to just hang at the pool for the day with the girls or buy blockout tickets for all of us.

Now that our hotel is finalized, I'm looking forward to getting into planning all the other fun details of our next trip!

:wizard: Have a Magical time! How fun that you'll get to be there in September and likely get to see the regular old Haunted Mansion and then be back for Halloween season with the Haunted Mansion Holiday!

I know I am really looking forward to seeing the difference ! I am hoping my nearly 3 year old will come on it but not sure if he will be a bit frightened!

Yay for another 1/2 Marathon runner!

Have you thought about maybe showing him online videos of the rides before you go to see what he thinks of them before you get there?

Finally starting to get around to adding events and the ride closure that we know about so far

Not Back to School Days is September 8-11. Can you add it to the Convention list?

:-) Thanks for doing all of this!

The front post looks amazing! Great job with the design and upkeep. I'm going to really enjoy popping on there for all the amazing information.

 Thank you! I have fun making check-in threads, lol. It's a crazy addiction. Hopefully I can actually remember to keep it up to date. Sometimes I forget ... :rolleyes1

I'll jump on the list! We are booked Sept 28-Oct 4, at Parkvue, for it's proximity. Headed out with dh, dd 4 and ds 1.5. It's our first time to DLR and our first major family vacation! A little nervous about dealing with the kiddos, but hope to make some memories! I'm not going to do much as far as scheduling so we can play it by ear with the kids, but I will be booking a breakfast at AG for my princess-obsessed girl :cutie:! So excited!!

Disney-Kim update for list...:goodvibes

We are staying at GCH and celebrating DH's birthday...He is ALWAYS some where cool on his bdays...

he has been to: WDW, Grand Cayman (cruise), St Thomas (cruise), and Hawaii on past birthdays...must be nice;)

I loved my experience at AG for breakfast last September. Awesome choice. Your DD will love it. :wizard:

Sounds like you should plan a fun place to be on one of your birthdays too! Awesome news about GCH! I am in love with that hotel.
