September 2009 ADR Wanted/Trade/Exchange/Canceled

We are finalizing our day-to-day plans for our trip & just added a night on to the beginning & 2 nights to the end of our trip!!

So, I have some pretty decent ressies that we're not going to use & wanted to offer them up to anyone before I cancel them so I can just change the name on them if needed!

9/16 CA Grill 9:05pm (WISHES @ 8pm) party of 8 (6 AD 2 CH)

9/21 Le Cellier 2:45pm party of 8 (6AD 2CH)

9/27 50's Prime Time 11:25am party of 4 (2AD 2CH)

Let me know if you want any of them! I'll probably cancel them by Friday!

Some wonderful person on this board just gave me an ADR and I know that I can check in the restaurant with her name and conf number, but I have Disney Dining Plan. When I go to "pay" with my resort key at the end of the meal will it be a problem that the room key is a completely different name than the reservation number? Has anyone had any experience with this? Disney said I could not change the reservation to my name.

Your server will have no idea what name the res was under so you'll be fine. Enjoy!

That's what I was thinking, but sometimes I know when you check into restaurants they print out your name and table number to give to the person that is seating you and sometimes they put it on the table. Like maybe when they start running up my "tab" it is associated with the name I checked in with. I know it sounds "paranoid" but you know how Disney is with this stuff!

Hello Everyone, This post is my first on the DIS. I have been a long time visitor and am glad that my first post is one in which I will be able to spread some pixie dust.

We (me, my wife, and our 16 month old son) currently have a trip scheduled for September 24 through October 3. However, due to a work commitment that has arisen, we are moving our trip to later in October. Before I call to change our reservations, I wanted to give members of the DIS a chance to stake a claim to any of our ADRs listed below. The ADRs are either for 2 adults and 1 child (us), four adults and 1 child (us and my parents) or 2 adults (just my parents).

1. 9/25: 7:30 p.m., Marrakesh (2 adults, 1 child)
2. 9/26: 1:35 p.m., Tusker House (Finding Nemo package), (2 adults, 1 child)
3. 9/27: 1:00 p.m., Le Cellier (4 adults, 1 child)
4. 9/29: 12:10 p.m., Sci-Fi Drive In (4 adults, 1 child)
5. 9/29: 6:45 p.m., Crystal Palace (2 adults)
6. 9/30: 3:30 p.m., Wolfgang Puck Cafe (2 adults)
7. 10/1: 3:45 p.m., Fantasmic Dinner Package at Brown Derby (2 adults, 1 child)
8. 10/2: 7:40 p.m., Germany's Biergarten (2 adults, 1 child)

I would appreciate it if someone could enlighten me as to how I can accomplish transferring ADRs (e.g., do we call up reservations together or simply plan to simultaneously cancel/book the same reservation online?).

FYI: Just cancelled Tusker House on 9/20 @ 11:35 for 2 adults/1 child. Couldn't trade because of double booking.

Actually in June the servers knew all about us at the Wave, Chefs and Le Cellier from the moment we were seated. They knew it was my birthday at Chefs, that it was DH birthday at the Wave, and that it was relatives who were dining with us anniversary at Le Cellier. We were seated at Chefs and at they came up and immediately made a point of asking which one of us was the birthday girl. Pretty much same scenario at the other 2. The only place we entered any celebration info was on the original ressie at check in - they asked what were we celebrating to hand out buttons.

This could get interesting if someone is celebrating something while they are at Disney and you have 'traded' ressies!

I would LOVE your Brown Derby reservation. We are newbies to Disney and I really want to take them to Fantasmik.
