September 2008...Who's with me?

We're currently planning to return to WDW in September 2008. I'm new to the whole code thing and was wondering when codes traditionally come out. How far in advance do we learn of them? Naturally, I want to try to get the best deal I can. Incidentally, we'll probably be shooting for a moderate, specifically POFQ or CBR.

In September the best offer is usally free dining. I haven't heard about any codes for September. There have been codes for October. We are planning to go Sept 08 and we are crossing our fingers for free dining yet again.

Yes. We went last year during free dining. It was our first trip in years and I stumbled onto the promotion. I am crossing my fingers as well for next year. But in the event they don't offer it, I'm hoping that they offer some other sort of discount or great code, anything to make it easier on the purse strings.

We just got back from a week at Pop and I'm already planning another trip to WDW for September 2008 , hoping for free dining. ... if not we may change to October to celebrate my ds birthday insted.

We are going in December, 2007 and I'm so, so, so hopeful that they will offer the bounce-back program again (or just free dining like they did this year). We've never been on the dining plan, and I would love to experience it for free (I would never pay for it - especially now with the changes). Anyway, let's all cross our fingers!!

I am currentley deployed in Camp Phoenix in Kabul and I am planning a suprise trip for the family when I return. I have three nights at Sog and five at Contemperary. Hope for the free dinning. If not will switch to OCT. Even though I am 7000 miles from WDW I still have the bug.

I am going this September and others who are there now are reporting that they are offering the bounce back program for free dining next September only to people who are staying onsite this September. Bounce back for people staying this September is being offered for 8/30/08-9/27/08 so the window is much smaller than in years past.

The UK has also already been offered the free dining plan. UK is offered from I believe 8/10-September something and only on resorts moderate or above but you must live in the UK.

For September 07 they offered bounce back and UK free dining and then opened up the free dining to the general public the first week of April good till sometime in June so keep you ears open and check here on the Dis around that time. They also have offered discount codes on rooms for September once the free dining deal is over so there is a great possiblility that something will be offered that will lower the costs for anyone not staying this September or in the UK.

Keep in mind next year on the dining plan tips are no longer included so a discounted room may save you more especially, if you would rather not spend hours of your Disney time on dining. Also, if you are not the type of person who likes to make plans 6 months before your vacation about where and when you want to eat for the sit down meals so you can get reservations before they are all booked up, a discount may be better for you as well.

I will probably be there next year at this time too so maybe I will see you there.

I am really hoping for free dining- haven't been able to take advantage of it during the other times, but fingers crossed for 2008!!

I have posted this in a couple posts, but will post again here too just to make sure everyone is getting this info! Here is the new Bounceback offer per mousesavers:

Bounceback Free Dining Promotion
This offer is available ONLY to guests staying at one of the official Walt Disney World resorts between 8/31/07-9/28/07.

Using a special phone number provided on some resort restaurant receipts or on a flyer provided in some resort rooms, you can book a vacation package for next year, for stays between 8/30/08-9/27/08, at a Walt Disney World resort with theme park tickets and receive the Dining Plan for FREE.

If you don't get the offer on a receipt or a flyer in your room, I recommend asking at the front desk.

There is a 3-night minimum stay requirement. Reservation for 2008 must be made before you check out and no later than September 28 to qualify. A $200 deposit is required at time of reservation.

Some people will go down during those dates just to stay at a resort for one night to be sure and be able to book this program for next year!

We're planning our first trip onsite for next September as well. We're also hoping for free dining as I would love to try it out for free... who wouldn't...but if not we may switch our dates to Oct and hope for some great Florida Resident discounts!

We are going 9/12-9/21. First trip with my ENTIRE immediate family! It will be me-Princess Gran, DH-Pirate Grandpa, DS-age 29-kinda like Cap'n jack Sparrow..still single..sigh...DD age 31-Princess Mommy, her DH- Super Dad, DGrandaughter,So-not-a-Princess- who will just have turned 10 (9-8-08), eldest Grandson,Pirate Prince age 7,and our little miracle Grandson (born 10 weeks early) who will be 2...his first trip!
I, too have am PRAYING the free dining will be offered to the general public.I am reading about the bounceback programs and feel sad to miss out on that. But I did save over 900.00 by booking w/AAA. My DD will be struggling to pay her share of this trip, even though DH and I are paying for the kids...so the free dining would be so helpful. I guess we all will be glued here to the Dis at the beginning of April...HOPING!

Am planning a trip towards the end of September to catch the (hopefully) free dining plan, as well as MNSSHP. Never been to the MNSSHP before and am really excited to go. This is going to be a solo trip for my birthday and really wanted to see WDW without all the holiday (Christmas) decorations up. Have been in November & December several times, and although it is a beautiful time to go, I really wanted to try a different time of year.

I am so excited. On an other thread they said they are offering bounceback free dining. The history of the past years the general public free dining will come out in April. I'll be checking in frequently with mousesavers and Dis to jump on the deal when its released.

We are planning on going in September of 2008 if they offer free dining. We went as a family in September of 2005 when the first free dining offer hit. What a roller coaster that was!! I booked our trip and the next day heard a rumor on mouse savers about free dining coming. I called Disney they said they didn't know but keep calling back. So I called the next morning bright and early when they opened and got free dining!!! This was before Mouse Savers had posted it to their website!!! I emailed her and informed her, she emailed back quite surprised and thanked me.

Well we had so much fun, that I have been wanting to go again, but it is expensive! I planned for now(Sept 2007), but decided to go in September 2008. It was so hard to give that up when they announced free dining!! So, I am hoping so badly for free dining again!!! I was not too happy when I found out that they changed the plan, but after the initial disappointment, my husband reminded me that it was still free. Free is free, it's better than nothing! I just could not fathom the trip without the free dining!!!! So, we are rooting for the free dining!!

I'm still trying to figure if it will really happen! It seems like money flows in and out very fast.

How do you get those little characters?
