September 2008 - Who's going?

6 weeks from today I will be fast asleep in my "home away from home" after filling my belly at HDDR!!!! :goodvibes Can the time go ANY slower!?!?!? Okay, rant over! :lmao: For those of you interested, there is a mini-dismeet at Beaches 'n Cream (who couldn't go for a "No Way Jose" right?) on Saturday, Sept. 13th around 9p.m. The link is in my signature so check it out! Countdowns, people! Let's see 'em! :goodvibes

42 days!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I always seem to have a theme going for our whole family to wear on halloween. We did Alice and wonderland last year and loved how it came out. Still thinking of what to do since we are not use to having hot weather when wearing a costume. Are you dressing up?

It will just be me and DD as DH leaves that evening. So far DD (5) thinks we need to be Mickey and Minnie. She is Mickey apparently, though I'm pushing for a switch since I think I can create a Mickey costume for myself alot more easily than Minnie. I'm also trying to get her to think about some Toy Story combos.

I'm down to 47 days:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: I just started my vacation from teaching last week so my summer break is short as I go back Aug.12.:sad2: BUT, I have my trip one week from my students first day (Aug.18) so there's something to look forward to. By the way, does anyone have any ideas of "freebies" I could bring back to my pre-school class? I will probably have about 25 kids (two classes of about 12-13 kids). I know I will be talking about my trip (how could I NOT!) and would like to bring back something if possible. Thanks for any tips.:flower3: I'm sure this should be on another thread but I don't know where to put it!

For everyone going in September - we can officially say - WE ARE GOING TO DISNEY NEXT MONTH!!!!!!

AMEN!!!

webster76 - Maybe you could collect stickers for your class. The DVC reps around the parks have some DVC stickers with different characters on them. Also, a lot of custodial staff and other similar type jobs have rolls of Mickey stickers with them. If you pick up a few here and there, you could collect enough for your class over the week. Also, not as much fun, but what about collecting your leftover napkins at counterservice meals and serving snacks on Mickey napkins one day. You an also buy a big bag of Mickey pretzels (only abour $3-4 for the bag I think) for the snack. Another not free, but cheaper is the Mickey straws. I know they at least used to have them at the registers in the value resort food courts. They are about 50 cents each.

My family and I will be there!!

We will be arriving on the 17th and staying at CSR! We cannot wait!!!

THANK YOU SO MUCH! :worship:  Great ideas for my class. I really appreciate it. The pretzels and napkins sound like a great idea as snack time is so popular. Where do you get the pretzel? At the food courts?

Glad I could help! I have seen the pretzels in the food court. You could also probably get them in the grocery area in the resort gift shop. Other places I've seen them are the "food" room of the big World of Disney store in DTD and in several stores within the parks, specially those with larger food/candy sections.

ETA: I just noticed that our tickers look almost the same. We'll be at Music too!

We will be at Disney September 5 thru September 12. We are staying at Allstar Movies Resort. First time for me to stay at this hotel. Also this will be the first trip for both of my kids who are 10 and 2. CAN'T WAIT!
