Hello! Just got home from a Talent Show at Ryan's school. It was cute but tooo darn long. My Mom came with me and she is bald from chemo and this group of kids started staring at her and whispering. And one of them said "Hey you are bald!" And she goes "I KNOW!! Isn't it GREAT???" She is such a trooper! I ADORE my Mom!!! Totally my hero. I wanna be like her when I grow up. Minus the cancer thing please!


I am sorry to hear your mom has cancer I didn't know. You are so strong. I hope she is doing well. I understand where she is coming from I went through breast cancer myself.

It was quite a shock when we found out. Miss Health Nut got it and kind of took us off guard.

Poohbear67, I will be at MNSSHP on the 14th too. I think a few of us will be there. YEAH!!! I went in 05 and it was so much fun. We rode SM about 8 times in a row without a line. Too bad you have to walk all the way back outside and then all the way back inside to get back on. I sure did get in my exercise that night. lol

As for active hurricane season; Last year we went in August and they said the exact same thing early in the season. I think they only got the one hurricane at the beginning of September so who knows. We had perfect weather; perfectly hot that is. lol It didn't rain much so I think that made it hotter but it was still ok with me because I am weird and enjoy the hot temps.

Asssssss usual, because POP is the coolest resort in the world, (pun totally intended) I see a lot of us are planning a stay there this September!

****UPDATE!!! 4.12.2007 - It looks like many of us are interested in a MEET! SO, everynight...head to the HIppy Dippy and look for that giant blow up Monkey in my signature.... he will be how we're spotting fellow "MoJiTo Drinking POPers!!!"

I am glad to see so many people liking this resort, it will be our first time at a VALUE and we chose POP. I wasn't sure if I would like a VALUE having only stayed at MODERATES. This thread makes me a little more sure of the decision

Welcome to our littel thread. POP is a very fun resort. My son loved it so much!!! We like to stay there because it is inexpensive so we can stay even longer! What are the dates you are going? We have several meets planned at the Hippy Dippy Pool, and more importantly near Petals Pool Bar! Feel free to jump on in!

I can only choose 5. The two in red are my "for sure" choices. My son REALLY wants to do Chef Mickey's, but we'd prefer dinner. We haven't decided whether or not to do MNSSHP yet. If we do that, we'd hate to spend part of the time at Chef Mickey's. I call every 2 days but can't get in for dinner except for really, really late any other day. I think I am going to keep the late brunch at Chef Mickey's on the 16th because it will be fun after Little Ones Magical Hour at MK.

I'm hesitating about Boma because it looks like a lot of the salads contain onions, which DH and I can't eat. It sounds so fun but I don't want to end up eating chicken fingers on a buffet! I'm afraid WCC might scare my quiet children, too.

I am doing well now it was a bad time but with god and a good sense of humor and a great attitude and of course my family got me through it.

I know your mom will be fine all she needs to do is keep her spirts up, it is mostly mental ( no pun intented)if you got that you can beat anything.

if you need to talk or just need a shoulder to cry on please don't hesitate to call me.

Im so sorry to hear about your mom dreamergirl- My mom is a 2 year breast cancer survivor, she found out she had it 2 months after her husband died.....Talk about being strong! These woman fighting cancer truely are a insperation to me. I pray that I never have to go threw it cause I honestly dont know if I could be as strong as my mom (and grandmother, she had BC too) My prayers are with you and your family and you will be in my thoughts, I know it can be hard on everyone when someone you love is going threw chemo and radiation. let me know if you need anything.

No, PoohBear's ADR for LeCellier was one of the few that almost matched my own. My husband and son would probaby object to me taking a solo trip. Although my sanity could use one some days.

We have had the same adrs for LeCelliers for awhile were we on the right dates when we talked? I am so sorry but the dbf and I wanted to make the MNSSHP on the 14th so we had to change some things around. We have the 8th open no adrs for that day. I haven't looked at the updated list yet so if your going to be there depends on where you are we can try and catch you there.

I totally agree, most of it is your mental state. If ANYONE had to get it, my Mom is a person who I KNOW will beat this horrible thing. She is such a rock.

Aw, thanks. That was very sweet of you to say. I am so glad for your Mom! Good for her! Aren't these people awe inspiring? Really a good example for all of us out there who think that breaking a nail is a big deal ya know? Thanks for the prayers too, every little bit helps!!!

Welcome to our littel thread. POP is a very fun resort. My son loved it so much!!! We like to stay there because it is inexpensive so we can stay even longer! What are the dates you are going? We have several meets planned at the Hippy Dippy Pool, and more importantly near Petals Pool Bar! Feel free to jump on in!

Thanks for the welcome! We just got back the 11th of may so our next trip is planned for DEC. 8-14. POR was great but not very kid friendly, I want the kids to have a good time and I hope POP will do it!
