LOL! Terry'd NEVER let you back at Disney again!!!!

You stuck it out cuz you thought it'd get better!!! WHat was Ryan doing? Was he attempting to look like he was enjoying it? Poor thing!!! I can imagine Danny in Ry's situation.

One time at DtD in 2003 - Danny had saved his own money and wanted a caricature (sp?) done. So he say down and this guy started. And I dont even know what to say... it wasnt even CLOSE! I mean, his hair had this big strange wave at the top, and his nose was kind of 'turned up' and Danny has a nose like mine...it's a honker. ANd his collar oj his shirt, he made it *up*. The whole thing was weird.

The whole thing as me, and JImmy and Joey watched him draw, we didnt want to upset Danny, but we were like:

So he pulls the paper off and shows Danny and Danny did this and his smile dropped to a vomit-face.

SO we go inside and Danny turns to me and asks (Im laughing now, but I felt terirble then) he goes, all serious: "Am I really that UGLY?" SO I said, we'll get you a new guy to do this. And so I tell the cashier, the cashier says we have to tell the artist we dont like it.

So, needless to say, we just left. The drawing stayed with the guy and now everytime we go to DtD we joke and say "Lets see if Danny's picture is hanging up" We figured thats where all those 'samples' came from.

Ryan was trying to be a good sport about it all. I think he did it more because he knew how much time I had spent planning everything and he didn't want to disappoint me.
YES they really said the whole prince charming thing. YUCK!
And yes, if Terry had been there he would have immediately taken Ryan to the pool to scope out hot chicks to build his manhood back up! And THEN banned me from Disney!
POOR DANNY!!!!!!! "Am I really that ugly?" Now that's just a sad statement to make. It sucks he spent all of his money on that too.

So when theyre done, they show you the picture, and you have to go inside the sports-store and pay, with this reciept they give you....but the picture stays with the artist until you show your PAID receipt. Well, when the girl said we'd have to tell the artist we didnt like it...we were like, we really dont want to do that, and she said thats the only thing she could do.

So we went out and ACTED like we were going to talk to him, but we took off. We ducked behind things until we passed him, and left DtD like a hot potato.

When we got back to the hotel (HOliday Inn Family SUites, before Nick Hotel) they had a caricture girl there, and she did his and did a NICCCCE job, he was very happy with. It LOOKED like him.

OMG- how horrible!!! First off- customer is always right and if the caricature was THAT bad- you shouldn't have to pay for it NOR have to go tell the artist that it sucked! Poor kid is right! LOL- we were going to have one done on our honeymoon- maybe I'm glad we never got it done

That said- WOW, I LOVE SALES! We have a Walmart that's closing down to move to a new location- I didn't know that when I popped in. I snagged a bunch of little handheld water misters (fan thingies) for less then a buck and a Tinkerbell costume for $11.00! I also picked up blister bandaid thingies (my poor Hubby had a blood blister or two or three last time we were there) as well.

Is it SAD that I'm packing already? LOL. I have the two DisneyLand ponchos that had made it safely into our closet packed and then the fans, firstaid stuff, in my bag as well![/QUOTE]

I've been packing since January. I have bought new cute clothes that the kids are not allowed to wear until they get to Disney. I've packed stuff like diapers, wipes, my door and window designs for at POP, costumes for the kids, all that fun stuff. Now I ned to get on the ball and finish redoing the stroller in Tinkerbell. Actually I have a ton of projects that I need to finish soon.

Okay, so I was bored this morning & decided to make a packing list for our trip in Sept. Then I got the list done & decided I was going to start putting together a few things in a bag so that they would be ready. My husband woke up an hour ago & asked what I was doing. When I told him I was packing for WDW he gave me a look of disgust and told me I'm insane. He just doesn't understand how excited I am! He loves Disney, but I doubt he'll ever love it as much as I do hehe.

I want to go to Home Depot sometime this week & get some Mickey heads. Do you ask a sales associate for them or do you just find them somewhere in the store? Do people look at you crazy when you take that many? Just curious...I don't want to get arrested outside the store for taking tons of green Mickey heads

They are over by the paint department. There should be a wall of paint samples. Nobody really looked at us while we did it, we just took bunch put them in our pocket and left.....

We are doing the same thing. Right now I have over 500 lime green Mickey heads from HD. Sorry to everyone out there who has gone to the 2 Windsor locations and they were out of Mickey heads.

I will be down 22nd-29th with my DH and DSD who is 6 I thought I read that there will be a few others down around the same time with LOTS of kids. Anyone interested in getting together for a late night kids swim and a MOJITO? I will probably only have one...but if anyone else is interested in more than 1 or don't have kiddies...come on down cause I am sure DH will have a more than 1
We can toss all the kids in the pool and sit back and relax. Let me know!

I'll be there the 22nd through the 6th. I'd love to try to schedule a meet up for all of us at the end of the month. We have a 1 year old son, but I'll have DH go to the pool with him so that we can all enjoy a drink poolside Feel free to PM me or we can try to schedule our meet up on this thread as well.
