Wasn't that game last night just awesome??:thumbsup2

I went to bed right after the 7th inning, it was getting way to painful to watch! :lmao:

So you're having a halloween party this weekend, that's so cool. I went to one last weekend, a friend of our's got really messed up on jello shots.....it was actually quite funny! So what are you dressing up as???

Yeah we will have those too (jello shots). We will start the party at our house then go to Kent to this huge block party where all of the University kids go and walk around all the bars and streets for a couple of hours. This is a huge thing here so its a blast to do. I am going as Alice in Wonderland.

Sounds like maybe did you have a few of those shots yourselfs????:rolleyes1

I had to go to a AAA dinner for work last night and then came home watch most of the ending of the game and went to bed with a wopping migraine again. I can't wait to see what happens tonight this series might be a blow out.

Oh did I telly you gals that I got a call last yesterday from Beth the manager at Ticketing and she said that she is going to make sure that my card doesn't get charged more than the 203. :woohoo: :woohoo:

I MAY have had a few jello shots myself, but not as many has my friend did...which thanks to me I helped contribute to her condition! As people kept buying them for me, I would just slide them into her pile when she wasn't looking! :lmao: :scared:

Pooh, I am truly sorry that your team could not win too. I am competitive on some things but not so much on baseball games. ;)

I used to give big Halloween parties but mine consisted of blood and gore since they were always for kids. Cold, slimy spaghetti were intestines and peeled grapes were eye balls. Everything is different in the dark ya know? I still have pictures of all those parties. Now I plan for between 2-300 trick or treaters and pray for good weather so I can sit on the front porch while giving them out. I also bake 1-200 homemade cookies for all the adults. Come on by!!:grouphug:

BTW, I done plumb forgot to thank your dbf for keeping my hubby entertained at the party. It made it possible for me to hear most, if not all, of what others were saying.

How do you fix your "crap?? Boiled, braised or just plain buttered? Just curious. I am just glad that crap is not low carb or it would have to be on my diet. When writing up the menu you might rename it 'excrement' as everything tastes better with a fancier name. :dance3: Calamari, caviar, etc.

SG

We have about that many kids too.

Your so welcomed but you didn't have to say thanks at all I was more than happy to help out a fellow disser.

I figured crap is better than all the carbs and stuff in that food ya know:lmao: :rotfl2: Do you think anyone would notice if I tell them its just halloween food.

Pooh, I am so glad that you got your ticket debacle all figured out. Those kind of things drive me nuts. I like my life stress free. It is a shame that your first AP experience had to be less than stellar though. When I bought mine this year the CM and I hit it off and he gave me a stack of coupons for FP's and free drinks. Wish it would have been the same for you too. :)

If any of your food stuff should come out less than what you consider perfect just add some green food coloring and everyone will think it is made that way on purpose and love it to pieces! After all frosting was invented to correct lopsided cakes and we all love frosting. Not me, but most normal folks anyway.

wic0721, I have never had a Jello shot. Since I tend to fall asleep with one sip of beer I doubt I would survive that. Ever injected a watermelon with vodka? I have seen it done. Try explaining to your small child what the man is doing to the watermelon.:scared1:

I was finally able to find a new comforter set for our MBR. I have been looking for a long time too. Even got a good deal to boot!!!:yay: The comforter is the most important part of the remodel since I use the colors to determine the wall, curtain etc. colors. Works for me, always has. Going from dark colors to light colors is scary cause that means a lot more cleaning though. Looks nice, for a month or so though. When I get overwhelmed with trying to keep the downstairs clean I go upstairs and sit a spell where clean reigns supreme. I am the only one who goes up there and I do not make messes. I know the person who does the cleaning. It took me nearly two years to renovate those rooms up there. I am pleased with how they turned out and you folks would be shocked at how cheaply I did it all. :teacher:

Hey SG, yes, I have injected a watermelon with rum before. I've also made cherry bombs, which you take a huge jar of marischino cherries and pour a 5th of 151 rum in it and let them soak for a couple days!

Your grandson must be happy, the Red Sox won again....this one was closer though, 2-1 Red Sox! :woohoo:

Morning Pooh!

Yes, last nights game was definately a nail biter! I would love to see us sweep them though! :woohoo:

would be great HUH???

so whats up for the weekend for you and your family??

Hmmm let's see, Red Sox game, Patriots game...and Red Sox game! :rotfl2:

Actually I don't have any real big plans, Kellie has a Halloween party on Sunday afternoon. Other than that, nothing! I'll probably do some yard work tomorrow, I've been saying for weeks now that I want to put some grubex and lime on my yard...maybe I'll do it tomorrow! Shawns has to work tomorrow, so it's just me and Kellie.

So are you all ready for your Halloween party????

Pooh, So glad you got things taken care of with the AP's it stinks when they can't just admit the problem and fix it without a million phone calls.

SG, You are welcome over to my house to redecorate any time.

I wish I could say my upstairs stayed clean but that won't happen till my little man grows up and moves out. Him and his dad are the biggest pack rats and don't even throw out boxes and wrappers from stuff. They act like they might need it someday till I find it and toss it. It is amazing how they never miss it or ask for it either so they needed it really bad. NOT!!! I know their secret ploy is just to say they need it so they don't have to get up off their butts and throw it out they just leave it for me their maid. I bet that sounds familiar. lol

Wic, Cherry bombs, yummy. I never heard of them before.

Angela

Yeah just how am I going to do it all by tomorrow night YUKS!!:scared1: oh I forgot clean the house on top of that too.

Angela, I think your husband and my husband must be related! My husband refuses to throw away ANYTHING! It drives me absolutely insane!

Cherry bombs are yummy, they do have a kick to them though...especially the longer they sit and marinade in the 151! Be careful drinking the remaining juice though...that packs a major wallop! :faint: :drinking1

I did have to hid the big jar of cherries from my daughter, while they were marinated this summer though, she loves eating cherries...all I needed her to do was get into those cherry bombs! :scared: :rotfl2:

Don't go killing yourself cleaning the house...it's going to get messier tomorrow anyways! Just clean the bathrooms and hide everything else! :lmao: The day after my party is clean the house day for me! Your menu sounds yummy! Now I'm hungry!

Pooh, you can write a letter commending Emily. The CM's greatly appreciate them because the big bosses read them and they are often read aloud to everyone. I think they get prizes for getting letters too. I make cards to give out while I am at DW cause I meet so many wonderful CM's. I take names and write a few letters too.

wic0721, as I suspected the 'wic' is short for wicked!! :rotfl: Cherry Bombs! I grew up in the flower child/free love era but was so busy trying to keep a roof over my head et al that I missed out on it all. I did once own a psychedelic paper dress though.

angwill, you are totally right in your assessment as to why your hubby and child do not throw anything away. You have plenty of time to worry about clean and such. I did not when my kids were growing up. I got my wall to wall carpet and such after the kids were gone. I did not want to say 'no' more than I had to so it was easier just to let it all go. They are young for such a short time anyway. Someone once said that you could have grass or kids but not both. I hope they were talking about the kind you mow. :scared1:

Peppers and tomatoes all picked and soaking. Nice big pot of chili to be made next. I make mine with TVP to cut down on the calories and I can no longer tell the difference.

I have to cut the old webbing off the lawn chairs I was given and add that to the pile of trash and then that is about done.

It has taken me 30 years to renovate this house. I do not have the energy left to do anyone else's even my NEXT home. I insist that it be move in ready when and if I survive long enough. Apartments are even starting to sound good. I have a friend, just turned 89 (looks 70) who is moving from her farm to an apartment. Guess she did not want to wait until she got too old to move. :) With what she is saving from not paying property taxes, as much insurance, utility bills etc. and the interest earned off her farm property she will increase her spendable income by many hundreds a month. Sounds like a plan to me. :teacher:

I wrote our letter to guest comm. and put in it how much of a pleasure it was to have some as nice as Emily to have take care of us and i also emailed it to her and told her boss that I emailed it to Emily so that Ticketing could get a copy of the letter.

Pooh, I should have known that a lady as organized and detailed minded as you would have already known that. :)

Chili in the process. Furnaces turned on for the first time this season. Winter is coming!!

We've already fired up our woodstove a few times this fall! It was only 29 degrees outside when I got up this morning! I actually had to scrape my windshield this morning when I left for work! :cold:

I am in awe of all of you who not only manage to DIS but also earn a living! How in the heck do you manage to do it all? Even in my youth, when I did a whole heck of a lot, I never managed to do it ALL! If I had had the Internet I might not have managed to do a thing. :rotfl2:

Chili all done, peppers washed and sorted according to whether they are going to diced , stuffed or pickled. I will attempt to be thankful that I no longer can/freeze the majority of our food, along with growing the stuff. :flower3:

Please root for the truck to run well tomorrow. It only gets driven about once a month now and I live in fear that it will die on me one of these days and throw me into a massive asthma attack. I have panophobia which is the best of all phobias as I do not have just a few, but all, of them!! Makes it simple as I do not have to think about what scares me and what does not. :rotfl:
