Any idea of how many kids will be on this cruise??? Does anyone on this thread have kids??? I do have kids, but am hoping this will be another low kid count cruise, where the adults get to play in the kids club again!!!

I just added my DD to the cruise this morning and asked the reservation agent about the number of kids. She didn't give me numbers but said there was plenty of room in the lab.

I visited the DCL webpage today and just for fun priced the cruise again. To my surprise, the price is the same today as what I paid on day 1. The prices aren't going up like the Repo's did - I guess it's not selling as well.

lol

That was from (JRagland) T & J :sunny:

I just did the same thing - checking the rates - I am hoping for a FL resident rate :wizard:

Congrats on the half-marathon Celeste! You are inspiring me to get off my butt and get on the treadmill.

Just returned from 6 days at Disneyland. Lot's of fun, but wouldn't call it a vacation with two toddlers!! Weather was gorgeous. The whole time we kept wishing we were on "The Mickey Boat". Really enjoy the cruise's now more than the parks. Our daughter Jenna turned six years old during the trip and she was treated like a Princess at the Park. Disney really does do a good job with birthdays. Worst news was that we found out the Donald Duck is a USC fan. For us Oregon alumns, that is a travesty!! Donald is our macot and he should bleed the green and yellow of the fighting Ducks. Jenna told Donald that she was going to tell Daisy! When that didn't work, Jenna then told Donald she was going straight to Walt Disney herself! If she only knew . . . . . .

We never had time to visit with a rep for DVC. We are really interested in becoming members - just have to find the time.

Day 85 here in AZ of sunshine. Hasn't rained since the begining of October. Would love some rain, but not the 24 straight days of rain that Seattle has now experienced.

Sister just returned from a Land/Sea cruise this past weekend. Apparently the weather was really, really bad. Couldn't dock at CC until after 12pm. Once on shore she went to find hot chocolate, was told "we don't have that here in the Bahamas"!!

If you can dream it, it can come true. (or something like that)

Something about swine being aviators comes to mind. :rotfl2: :teeth:

How many peole are planning on doing the ECO-Tour on Antigua? Have you booked yet. Disney doesn;t show any excursions yet for many of the islands on this trip so we were wondering how many options there are.

They did mention an ECO tour would be available...is this the same tour being talked about here?

tks!

I am figuring the kid count would be relatively low. Due to the length and timing. Schools are in session during September and kids would be missing two weeks of school which would be a little extreme.

The only place/time I am concerned about hurricanes is Port Canaveral on embarkation day.

A good point, but in the past DCL has used other ports when the weather was bad at Port Canaveral. The DVC member Cruise had us debarking at Ft Lauderdale.

Thanks! As I mentioned, I wasn't planning on even running- but I am really glad that I did. Go get on that treadmill and run or walk with next year- or on the Diserthon at Sea!

I would like to book one of the tours- I just have not gotten around to doing so. Is someone on the boards willing to arrange a group booking?

BY THE WAY- ANYONE HEARD FROM LINDA?

IMonso - did you receive a copy of the newsletter that Tracy does? There is an article in there about the tours available (Eco and a speedboat trip). I started contact with them last fall but they are not going to take any reservations for this until the end of the month. Their website is http://www.adventureantigua.com. They will begin taking reservations for September at the end of this month. DH and I took this tour 09/04 when the Magic did the special itineraries and had a great time.

Celeste - I am keeping a list of those that sign up for Eli's trips (either one) but I was not making any charter arrangements. They are opening up that day because the Wonder will be there (and I begged to go again) so we may pretty much have the boat to ourselves anyway.

If anyone has any questions, please send me a PM or email to gail@lindamood.com. And, if anyone books one of the tours, let me know that too so I can keep the list updated.

Thanks for all of the information! I have not read the entire newsletter yet :teeth: :teeth: - school is getting in the way. I will look over the website and newsletter to see if the tour would be appropriate for us and our 7 yo son. Noah liked snorkeling in Curaco and Cabo San Lucas- despite the fact that he can't swim- he still used a life preserver and looked at the fish....what a great time! I don't think he realizes that other kids don't get to do that stuff- but that is part of the reason why I work.

Hope you ALL have a wonderful day!
