Welcome back, Peter and Jenn.
I think I may have inadvertently "stolen" 2 copies of the Playbill. When I unpacked my stuff I had 4 soggy copies instead of 2! I probably picked them up off your kitchen counter thinking they were mine. If you'd like them back, just let me know. (I save all mine and have ones that go back to 1969)

All of these Boston travelers are making me a little homesick! My sister lives in Salem and I am originally from Peabody. Peter and Jenn - I think you met my DH Dave on the May repo. Have a roast beef sandwich with sauce and cheese for me - I miss Bill and Bob's. We are planning a trip north in November or early December - you can count on snow that weekend!

Peter, you are on Lynn's schedule. She has graves till the end of the year.

Was wondering where ya were.

Last year when we went to Boston it was the weekend before Christmas and there wasn't any snow on the ground. That is, there wasn't any snow on the ground when we got there and during the weekend. On Monday when we tried to leave though, that was another story! After a canceled flight and delayed flight, we finally got home.

That explains a lot of things. :) Like why the Big Dig is 2 years behind. :)
Just kidding. Looks like it will be real impressive when it is done.
Think I just might drive back into Boston from Saugus just to see Peter working.:duck:

....Our house guests are out and about today. I think they were going to Salem to see all the witch stuff. ..
That's where we are going tomorrow. WOOOOOOOOOO! :maleficen
So much to see. So little time. :guilty:

Good morning all. We just got back from Long Island NY late monday night. It was cold and rainy up there. I could not wait to get back to warm sunny FL. Last Thursday we went to MNNSHP. We had a great time. My DD Emily loved it. she wanted to walk the whole time carrying her TorT bag and whenever anyone put candy in it she had to look in the bag to see what it was. :flower: Have a great day everyone.

Lots of construction downtown with the BigDig/I93 going on. But then if you've driven the tri-state in chicago, you'll have no problem. :)

Is that really still going on? I have been out of Massachusetts for 3 years and it isn't finished yet?? Oh my goodness.

My family and I used to tease that in MA- as soon as they finished paving route 2- that they would stat over again.... :confused3

And When completed, This is how Boston should look !! A City In Bloom

Oh, I enjoy MNNSHP! I need a green smilie because I am jealous of you :tilt: . We plan to go next year after the cruise. Did Emily dress up and if so, what was she? Really cute to read about her with her candy.

Parking was just fine. Parked in the garage across from the vistor center. Got parking validation. Cost...nothing.

Had a nice time in Salem. Saw a lot. Learned a little. Shopped. Got a neat pirate shirt. pirate: arrgggh.
Wished we could have made it to the iron works, but then that could be another trip.
Did learn to stay off US1 or at least not to be on the wrong side and try to find a way to turn back. :confused3

Heidi: Yes, emily was dressed as Cinderella. She loved the dress and shoes, but did not want to keep the tiara on. princess: We also love MNNSHP. We have gone every year for the past 8 years.

Ah, Cinderella princess: ! Pretty. We went to our first and only MNSSHP back in 2003 for the first weekend of Oct. We all dressed up and the kids really enjoyed it. My DH and my BIL went to Universal's Horror Nights one night that vacation as well. Next year, my DH wants me to go with him while MIL watches the kids. I'm a little afraid to go, to tell the truth. It may be a bit too intense for me. Is anyone else planning to go to Horror Nights after the cruise?

Hi all. Been gone over a week in atlanta for national Girl Scout convention. Just got back.

Scott-Robert would probably be interested in the epcot dive thing.

I've got to catch up now. Glad the thread hasn't been too busy!

Linda

Hope that everyone has a great day. Mike

Spent all morning scrubbing the floors in my house. All I have left is to polish them and then I can relax! The rest of the day can't help but be better! :rotfl2:

Tracy

Hi everyone! :wave2:

Funny to hear about all the East coast weather... We went to Disneyland yesterday and I thought I was going to pass out .. it was so hot. That's what it does here... really cool in the morning, then it gets blastin' hot in the afternoon, where you want to suffocate in your long pants that you HAD to wear 'cuz it was so darn cold earlier! :confused3

I would love to hear more (especially explanations) about MNSSHP ??? or Haunt nights in FL. We're total Florida theme park virgins. I'm guessing these are pre-ticket sale type of things? What if you don't get tickets? Are parks totally closed to others that day? :confused3 Just point me in the right direction and I'll get with the program! :rolleyes1

Lynn and Peter: James is right there with you. 1800-0600. He's getting ready for work when I'm getting ready for bed! :rotfl:

Have a great day everyone!

Kendra

Kendra, MNSSHP and MVMCP are hard ticket events where the MK is closed at 6:00 pm and then re- opens for the evening’s special event. Many years back we went to a MNSSHP at DL. I want to think it was the first they ever did. What was kewl to me were the CM’s in the Pirates ride. They were there augmenting the scenes.

Just finished making the arrangements for our Cayman trip. Will be going in May of 06. 2006 will be our year for the Caribbean. Bahamas in Feb, Grand Cayman in May, and the cruise in Sept. Let the Games Begin.
