DH and I booked this morning. Just the two of us...The kids are staying home with Grandma so DH and I can enjoy this one by ourselves. (We will take them on a cruise or two between now and then to ease their pain! Especially the pain of DD since her bday is 9/17! No 'Mother of the Year' award for me next year! )

I am very, very excited! It has been over a year since we have been on a cruise. Some serious withdrawal going on around here!

I sent the email to be added to the roster. I am very much looking forward to getting the first newsletter.

I saw mention of sending a picture. What is the story behind sending the picture? Is it added to the video or something?

BTW...I watched the video. It gave me chills!!!

I also saw mentioned somewhere within the 80+ pages of the thread about lanyards, pins, magnets, tags, etc.... Where do I find the info on the things I am interested in?

So much to do...Need to have DH show me how to insert a ticker, the cruise icon, the DVC icon while we are at it. (DH is the computer guru...I do what I need to do and leave it at that! I know just enough to make me a hazard! )

Welcome newcomers.

My Mom and I just book a flight to NY for a 4 day trip in the beginning of October. We are going up to seem my aunt who was diagnosed 6 weeks ago with terminal cancer. I will be taking the baby with me. YIKES I hope she does okay on the plane. She can barely tolerate a 20 minute bus ride at WDW.

Anyway, It will be nice to see some of the extended family that I have not seen since I moved to FL 10 years ago.

So sorry to hear about your Aunt. I wanted to share some traveling tips for the baby - first of all make sure she has something to suck on during take off and landing. (helps the ears) Secondly and more important - a DVD player is the best way to make a flight go much easier. (Unless you can get her to take a nap - HA HA - most likely she will fall asleep just as the plane lands ) Have a safe trip.

Celebration- that would be cool. I know there has been talk of a premeet at one of the DVC condos- maybe there could be two. I find the concept of the town Celebration very interesting- yes I read the book. I hate to admit it but I am curious to see how everything actually turned out. Yes, my husband and I drive through the town every Disney trip- but driving through and actually getting to talk to people and seeing the houses up close is different.


Patricia- you might become my own pet sociology project....

Just kidding- but I'd love to talk to you at length sometime.....after all we'll have 11 days to do so.

Sorry I haven't been around much-been having issues with our internet (roadrunner) since September 3rd-I think it is finally fixed though! Hopefully my lurking days are behind me now!

Still trying to figure out January/February vacation plans-have a DCL cruised booked, might try another line or go to Paris Disneyland again.

Hi All,
1. How do I get that 11-night sign on my signature ?
2. Bad news...my Dr. said I've been doing too much, he didn't remove my drain on Thursday, now I'm waiting till Tuesday...and I'm stuck lying around the house all weekend...I had plans too.
3. I haven't had my walk in 2.5 weeks so am very cross...one of my favorite things on the repo was my 4-5 mile walk every morning, usually split between decks 4 and 10...I always hate coming home from vacation and doing my normal neighborhood walk, but I'd be grateful for that right now.
4. Has anyone noticed, the prices for this cruise haven't gone up...we booked connecting 10s, for whatever reason I really want to try an inside cabin...but I checked today just in case we wanted to upgrade...I think we'll stick w/ our 10s though...I want to do the premium wine package and more spa services next time.

I got the new 80 gig hard drive installed and we are back in business..
