Just a quick bit of cyphering - , one lap is .33 miles, a 1/2 marathon would be about 36 laps on deck 4. We will definately need people to count, water station, feed stations, aren't we a silly bunch. LOL

You guys are just too funny with your DCL 1/2 marathon!!!!!!! I'll volunteer to man the Scoops feed station!!!!!

How did everyone get their name so sparkly...they look really cool!!!!!!

We could even do shirts and have it be a disevent- you have to run a total of 12 miles, register and get a shirt and pin....maybe we'll see???

We would also have to have the chef's prepare a carb loading meal the night before, lots o pasta.

Marathons fasinate me. I could sit and watch them for hours. :rotfl2: We can can count and hand out water. Mike

Count me out for a marathon. I have a hard time with a mile on the moving ship :rotfl2: I'm better at the swimming events.

You ALL think I'm kidding, don't you! What you don't know is that I have already started to price shirts and finishers medals.....honestly I have! We could do t-shirts, finisher's medals, and top three finishers trophies for a very reasonable price. If we wanted "cool-max" shirts- it would be more though.

I don't know if it would make sense to have everyone running at the sametime- I guess it would depend upon how many people signed up. If we had lots of people it would have to be done on CC. I had thought of an unofficial marathon- you run the miles at your leisure- however are the first three people to finishing running first would get the trophies, people could either run on the tread mills or on the deck. Thus keeping ourselves more relaxed....but CC would be cool too- I know there is a running trail there- but I don't know how long. Scott or Peter?

How funny would it be to have lots of people running around the track on the ship at the sametime on two lanes. :rotfl2: They'd ban us from coming again!

I don't think you are kidding, I think you're crazy :rotfl2: The swimming events I am talking about are sitting by the pool, sitting on the edge of the pool, standing in the pool, swimming in the pool. That's it :teeth:

Tracy

Elaine, I think you'd be okay...

I think I am going to arrange this. For now, I would keep it at a half marathon length- which would be 12 miles. I think if we were to go by vacation rules for the marathon- run or walk at your leisure. I will be walking! I will give more details as I get them worked out.

Just remember that you have to walk 3.5 miles to work off two oreos.... :earseek: :earseek:

Once we have our official name, I will work on an official name for the "marathon".

Tracy, Tony, and Peter- please add this to the official roster.

Do we have a name? I know we have a picture that TDC Nala did- but do we have a name? So CLOSE to the year mark :cheer2:

Speaking of oreos....I wonder if there are any downstairs?

I think there will be a lot of competition for these prizes. I doubt I'll get any of these :goodvibes Now if there are prizes for talking, I think I'd be in the running for that :rotfl2: Are you up for a challenge Debbie?
