Well we are looking at our map and wanted to ask our new dear dis friends whom drive quite a bit...
On our drive up to Notre Dame would it be better to drive the south side of Chicago or should we go up 31 North?????????????? :drive:

We are coming from Arkansas....

Thanks!!!! :thanks:
Not sure which road you are coming up on but I can tell you that the south side of chicago has a lot of construction so don't get in a hurry! :sunny: Have fun!

All caught up (finally!). Here is that picture of Buddy --

He's a tiny Springer Spaniel -- only about 75 pounds! Just kidding (about the tiny bit). He is a huge Springer. Both of his parents were big dogs. He is a big baby and misses his mommy, but he loves  Bill to death!

Is DPD still having her company over, it's getting late :cheer2: :teeth:

you lucky duck Tracy...CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! Here I was looking at the puppy and didn't even pay any attention to the post number!!!

7 more posts until I reach 2,000....and everyone says I'm the quiet and shy one!!!! :teeth:

We would be coming up 57 North...do you think we should go that way..or go up 31 North to avoid Chicago?

Kevin just looked at the map (our heavy duty trucker one) and he says he would take 31 it's good road and you will see some nice countryside. I would avoid Chicago at all costs, but that's just my opinion.

Good evening everyone! I am just getting on-line today and wanted to see what/how everyone was doing. PIT it sounds like you are back on the road again- Congratulations. Well, I am going to go and try and get caught up. I do believe the thread has been busy today!!

Yeah ...

... we got assigned a catagory 11... same size cabin as a 12 and we are located at the far forward tip of the ship... roller coaster country. Well... we did save about $1100 ($750 after adjustment for rebooking discount) so we can't complain too much. But we will have to bring spare batteries for our electric relief bands to fight sea sickness in case of rough seas. And that is the risk we take! SO much for our first try at taking a guarantee reservation... it's OK if the seas are tolerable. Or even better if they shift our cabin again before embarkation! I've heard others have had 2 changes BEFORE embarkation after their initial assignment. Even as late as at the terminal! SO remains some glimmer of hope for a location improvement - or maybe BUYING an upgrade at the terminal. So... we;re gettin' there early to check in! :confused3

Okay, I know I am back here a dozen pages or so, but...here is a question that Captain Crash brings to mind. He believes (maybe knows logistically) that it is rockier in the front of the ship. I have always thought that I feel it much more on a lower deck and in the rear. The two times that I had a cabin in the front I really never felt anything when I slept. Any thoughts or perspectives here?? :confused3

Good morning everyone! Wow, you were busy last night.

We finally got Big's test results back last night. Definately a neurological problem, vet will start him on some meds to eliminate seizures and refer us to a specialist if need be. So..all in all, much not as bad as it could be and we are totally relieved. :thumbsup2

I am glad to hear about BIG. I was worrying about him!! Still wishing him the best. :goodvibes

Just getting home from work and deciding where to get dinner from tonight. Man, I hate these hours and I absolutely refuse to start cooking at 7:30 at night. Amazingly, I've lost 15# in the past month or so, so I'm all set to pack it back on during the vacation / cruise. popcorn::

I did not think we HAD a Dumbotron on the WOnder. Only the Magic had it so far. Because I specifically asked the CM when I reserved whether the Wonder had it. On our last Magic sailing the Magic did not have it installed yet (Sept 2005).
West Coast, checking in!

OK, don't know if this was responded to today, but ...

IIRC, Wonder gets the Dumbotron during dry-dock, after our cruise. :furious: :sad2: :sad1:
