Hello fellow Dis members,

I have just decided to do an impromptu trip to DLP this January, but although it's not my first time visiting this park at this time, I keep going back and forwards with my decision process.

We are a family with two adults four children (7,9,12,14)

My first dilemma is, shall we go for 1 or two nights?
I feel that the parks are so small we have already done those rides a million times and mid January will not have huge crowds but, will one night be too rushed? Is the cost for an extra night justified given we are 6 it's not cheap? We will also be spending two nights in central Paris.

Second dilemma previously we stayed at Newport, which was fine but not amazing is Cheyenne money better spent?

I was also looking at Sequoia as they have a pool slide BUT will the pool be warm enough? I read the pools are cold!
Is Newport pool warmer?

Thanks for your help

I have stayed on-site for some of my Disneyland Paris trips and other times have stayed in Paris and taken the train. For your question about number of nights, are you saying with 2 nights you would go to the parks 2 days and only 1 park day if you stay for 1 night? Personally I like staying 2 nights even for 1 park day so I am not checking out and storing luggage on a park day.

I just returned from Paris earlier this month and stayed in Paris and just took the train to Disneyland Paris. It is easy and efficient. Considering the parks don't open very early it's relatively easy to arrive by rope drop. As much as I advocate for staying on-site, particularly at Walt Disney World, I don't know that it is always worth the expense at Disneyland Paris (as much as I've enjoyed it when I have stayed on-site). So maybe consider 2 park days but staying in Paris and avoid having to move hotels.

I remember swimming at the indoor pool at Newport in the winter and found it comfortable years ago, but don't have much pool insight other than that.
