Robb was asking why they don't do scuba on CC- I told him I didn't know. Or even SNUBA.

I have a brand new 3mm Exceed suit- very, very cool.

Maybe I'll call St. Kitts and see what I can find out...

SCUBA was tried for a very short time on CC. The operator was out of Abaco. It did not make it because Dad would go off diving leaving Mom with the kids. Interferred with the family concept of CC. This info I got strait from the Dive Operator.

Good morning everyone! Wow, you were busy last night.

We finally got Big's test results back last night. Definately a neurological problem, vet will start him on some meds to eliminate seizures and refer us to a specialist if need be. So..all in all, much not as bad as it could be and we are totally relieved. :thumbsup2

Here's hoping he feels better soon!

RE: upgrades: Well not posting didn’t work. I wonder where I put that voodoo witch doctor’s number????

Just putting it together, my guess is that sailing is rather sparse, TA deal out the wazoo, etc etc. It would not surprise me if this group comprised a big portion of guests.

:teeth:

Yeah....

.... I was drawing the same impressions and notions. I thought the sailing seemed slightly undersold and as such - I was guessing DCL would use the unsold capacity creatively. By the same token we were hoping for extra flexability with inventory control in dishing out more generous guarantee assignments... so we gambled on one this time. Oh well - at least you got a pair of 10s compared to our 11. I still hold out hope for a shift and reassignment in the next 30 days!

So it will be interesting to see what comes of their unsold capacity in the weeks to come. Anyone with their ears to ground wanna share your discoveries? ... (if possible!!!!). :confused3

And - on a seperate note... I guess I was NOT able to stay up long enough to catch up much further than 10,600 going backwards last nite! Maybe I'll have better luck in the future!

Still here at the shop waiting for a fix. Our sweet mechanic, Dale, is keeping us posted every step of the way. He now says that he has to go into the transmission because the problem is still not fixed :confused3 . We are looking at having to get a hotel room tonight. They will most likely have the truck overnight tonight. We will probley have to get a room (which our company reimburses) and a rental car (which they don't reimburse but is tax deductible) and they pay us "retention pay" at $100/day per person. Which is nice but doesn't hold a candle to what we are losing by sitting here. :sad2:
But atleast they are keeping us up to speed. i just wish we were stuck in chicago so we could go walk around downtown.

I'm reading my way backwards here - so just a day or so out of sync... and I wuz gonna say ... imagine that ?!?!? Didn't you folks just pick up a brand new rig? What could have snapped???? Havin' your mechanic go from the primary diagnosis into the trannie sounds slightly mysterious.

We had booked SCUBA at CC on a 2003 cruise. Didn't dive anywhere else on that cruise because we were looking forward to the dive at CC. Well, guess what - the night before we get to CC, they call and cancel the dive. Needless to say, we were very disappointed.

:sunny: Morning! We are currently in Milwaukee at the Volvo dealership baffling the mechanics with a truck that blew a transmission at 10,000 miles. Who knows how long we will be here. Hopefully not too long. We will be trying out Milwaukee's food soon. We are going to take our morning walk AND find somewhere to eat around here, kind of killing 2 birds with 1 stone.
Tracy, I am just off HWY 100 here, if you know where that is. :confused3

Anyway, they have the truck in the shop and we are sitting in their comfy ( :rotfl2: ) waiting area watching the news. I'll be lurking..........

Looks to me like you should get out and enjoy the water front. There's gotta be a nice area near by to stroll about and relax with a cool benerage and stretch! That is - if this brief "vacation" is to be taken properly I'd consider explorin' a bit = even if on foot or within the courtey shuttles' range!

Did you live in the LaCrosse area? Or somewhere else? We're going to Nekoosa, but actually the Town of Rome. Helping my sister out and taking some photos of the properties she's selling on one of the lakes up there. Always looks cool from a kayak's perspective. I grew up in Wisconsin Rapids, just north of there.

You are correct, both Bob and I grew up in the La Crosse area. Now everyone lives in Holmen, except my little sister who recently moved to Nashville.

: Where is this Tiajuana Taxi place???? Can you tell I don't get out much! We go to ale house where the Captain & Coke is $2 too Or we stay home and pour our own.... SO much better...:rotfl: Glad to hear that Big will be okay. We had a golden years ago that had something similar. Vet put her on Valium....LOL.... handy... since sometimes Mom needed it too....:rotfl2: Unfortunately she was not covered on the prescription plan :lmao:

Leslie..Tijuana Taxi is on University/Griffin, north side of intersection. It used to be a burger barn or something like that when we first moved here. The food is pretty good (tex mex style), the drinks are very good, lol.

We used to go to the ale house all the time, but the bar is always so packed you really can't get near it. We do plenty of stay home and pour our own..lol, plenty of that..lol. Friends just laugh when we open the alcohol cupboard..lol :rotfl2: :thumbsup2

Then again, you may be like me and Malls may NOT be very high on your lists of things to "do".

Scott, I think you are right. We booked on DVC points also. At the price of this cruise now we should both be in the Walt and Roy Suites!
