Maybe we should slow down a little bit and hold off for 10,000 until the 17th -- exactly one month to the cruise Or speed up and make 10,000 land 1 month from my cruise Oh, that would be today

Hmm.....

I took a glance at the roster.. and we do have a nice gathering developing here. However, I noticed we have a lot more then 20 folks in the early dining group... at least 100. On the roster I estimate there are 51 screen names and/or cabins who say they've got early dining, 37 late diners and 17 with unknown or undisclosed dining arrangements. I vaguely recall reading somewhere that we had 270+ folks in the DIS group... is that right? That would mean slightly more than 1 in 10 on this sailing is with us! Amazing!

Well... at any rate,... I guess folks are pretty busy and have not gotten around to conveying their dining info to you Beth. I imagine that pretty soon we have to submit our list of early dining DIS folks who want to be linked. Otherwise it cannot/may not be done.. right?

SO - assuming this is the case... c'mon folks - if you're on the early dining shift... PM Bethe ASAP to assure inclusion with us on the right dining rotation and venue! If you're late dining - then HOOK Up with your DIS mates... and if you don't know your dining assignment yet - call DCL or check your on-line page to find out! THEN PM the appropriate contact person to hook up!

Alternatively... if you're thinking of AVOIDING us after having seen what a crazy bunch we are (or a crazy FEW who have salted the group!)... then PM Bethe so you can definately NOT be on our dining rotation!!!! LOL! I know some of you may be apprehensive about the nightly food fights that the DIS brethern are know for.... LOL!.... NOT! That was NOT me... (Hmmm wuz that a double negative... meaning I was involved? ) I tell ya it wuz NOT me !......

....(forgive me).... as the dripping chocolate cake from my fingers was not the same variety as the chocolate cake that 1st started that "BIG" food fight on the last voyage!

Booked a cruise for New Year's on "another" cruise line - oh the horror! Since we are bringing all the kids (3) and my parents, DCL is a bit too pricey for us! I'm feeling a bit nervous since we have been so spoiled with Disney, but will muddle through!

Just bring your green Bubba Mugs and photo album(s) from your last DCL sailing to share with you table-mates ... wear your mickey ears... and you'll feel right at home! Maybe...

Seriously... we just broke tradion and did a CCL (!) sailing this past february... I had a $500 off credit with CCL that had to used or I'd have lost it ... and the CCL Spirit was not too bad. We got a veranda on an 8 nite for less than a window for 7 on DCL. So... it was a good value... but a traditional experience. Not bad.

For those that are not DVC members, how did you book this cruise?

a. straight thru disney website
b. Dreams unlimited - how was the discount?
c. other travel agent

We rebooked through DCL while aboard with the idea of trasnferring the ressie to a TA for an extra break or cabin credit - but in the end we left it with DCL as the TA offers of an extra little bit of cabin credit were not compelling enough in the end. We were beginning to think that we might have a better chance for a courtesy upgrade if we left it with DCL... and now we have a guarantee 12 - so we were more hopeful for "courtesy" if we left it with DCL. HOWEVER.... after seeing how they seem to assign cabins - I no longer see any compelling reason for leaving a rebooking with DCL... next time I'll transfer it to a TA ... unless they assign us a window or better! I'm still waiting for our assignment!

This is our first Disney Cruise and we are looking so forward to it. Thanks to our friends Beth E and Harry from Michigan, we are ready to live it up. I never knew Beth was so wild. Wow!! We are also lousy at computers, so I hope this makes it!

Just wondered if anyone that booked a Category 12 Guarantee has been assigned a cabin yet?

Also for those that have cruised Disney before are there upgrades available at the pier like other cruiselines do at the pier if cabins are available?

If so were there any good deals to be had?

I know that folks on the 10 night trip are getting the Room numbers , should not be long !

Upgrading at the port can be a good deal. If available, get there early, if this is what you want to try. We have done it before . went from cat 10 to cat 4. $1000.00 if you booked it online it would have been over $2200.00
for the same thing.
