Holy cow... as in... I think another cow may be in the way!!!! Well... actually we seem to have slowed down considerably today .... so with a few more days like today we might actually be in danger of not making 10,000 bu Sept 16th!

So with that in mind I would like to send out a call to all loyal DIS lurkers to step forward and post a pleasant 'ello or two!

Hello All! Cut CaptainCrash a break. After all, you might need him to add up your shipboard accounts should the computer system on the ship crap out. Capn Crash are you aware that in Antigua you can meet Nick Maley? Google him because he apparantly had something to do with the creation of Yoda. He actually looks like Yoda in a way. He now owns this GREAT little art gallery on antigua that we went to on the 04 holiday cruise on my dh's b'day. We got to meet him, bought a page from the original script of StarWars and Kevin even got his picture taken with him. Just FYI for any StarWars fans, this was not a big deal for me but for my movie buff hubby it was the be all and end all.

That's actually quite interesting...

The yoda thing - that is - as I am a bit of a Star Wars fan. I actually lined up for the 1st sowing in Westwood back in 1976 (is that when it premiered?). So - I will google it tonight... thanks for the tip! And I do appreciate the token sympathy... I wuz getting a slight bruise a few days ago an' I have difficulty explaining things like that to my spouse... LOL!!!

Seriously... it wuz all in good fun! As I said then - I enjoy the banter... it is all a harmless divesion here!

At any rate.... we could actually use a few more volunteers who are under age 15 for the Mickey Bar Race! Plus - I am considering moving the location to the Promenade Lounge because 1st) that's where we held it last time and 2nd) It is air conditioned with usually nothing going on in the middle of the day... 3rd) I suspect it might be more spacious and comfortable ... and 4th) It is shaded and will provide better photographic opportunities then the middle of the heat up on deck. Any thoughts - otherwise by Friday I might make a formal switch = if not sooner.

So - while we're on this subject - let's pause for station identification and a brief infomercial on the ICE CREAM RACE:

Say... anyone notice it's 1 month, 1 week plus 1 day til our 11 day voyage? It's a bunch of "1"s! And yes... we are lookin' forward to meeting everyone as well! We've got so much planned and on the go... it's almost bewildering!

And - may I ask - have you EVER wondered how fast your S.O. can polish off a Mickey Bar? Well ... as they say... "HOW CONVENIENT!!!!"... as we have a Mickey Ice Cream Bar race scheduled!
