September 17, 2006 - 11 Night Southern Caribbean Part 3

I made it through the half marathon....barely. I don't think I was drinking enough and started getting the chills & back pain during the last 3 miles, which took me and hour to finish because of the pain. Anyways....I finished and got myself a new pretty medal. When my camera comes home (it's in Indiana with Robb) I'll take a picture and post it- the medal is two sided & 3D.


I am hoping to have a quite week and I will try to keep up with the posts and posting. I'm going read a few more pages, take a hot bath, and go to bed.

This is a horrible picture taken with my cell phone by a stranger. I look a mess, but I did just walk 13 miles and then laid on the ground for a half hour....so much for my introduction to those who don't know me.

13 miles of sweating and pouring water over your head will do that to you. I may have also still had brown hair when we last saw each other. I went back to my natural color.

Ya know... They had soda mugs.. they have coffee mugs, they have ESPN Beer Mugs... I want to know why they don't have MARGARITA or MARTINI mugs or other flammable beverage mugs to get refilled!!!!!

Can't have my shoulder surgery before the trip so I'm bringing the exercise specialist with us. I just can't risk not moving it for 11 days. She used to work with me. Hired her for the cruise. Young (30) and tons of fun. Her name is Melissa and I'll get her on the boards as soon as I can. I meet with her on Tuesday.

Been a busy day. Ended by being bad bad bad. Needed comfort food so we went and got a Butter Burger.(all of you wisconsin people know )
Chillin now. Listening to the Buffett DVD. Southern Cross is a playin' . Yes Elaine, WDWGDAS is on it.

Can't believe # of posts for a sunday. We should hit 10K by the end of the week at this rate. Wonder what the record is for # of posts for one thread.

Celeste, you can get regular coffee at quiet cove, I don't remember any deals for using the mug, other than the first drink in it was free. They also have all those good teas. It is a nice metal mug, and of course, I always filled it with lattes.

On the wine and cheese party wine sharing question, last time everyone just brought a bottle of wine and everyone did tend to share, or try others wine. It does not have to be wine if you prefer to drink something else. I don't drink wine (alcohol gives me migraine headaches), so I will have something there non-alcholic, like lemonade.
