Yeah, I knew all along something was wrong, but what could I do? None of the medical personel would listen to me. Or they listened, but discounted what I said.

Like I said to everyone who asked on the cruise -- it feels a little bit better every day!

Looking forward to the pain-free days and nights in my future.

I am so sorry you are still in pain! And I am so proud of you for making sure someone listened to you! As Dianna said, you really have to be your own advocate.

Hopefully, your next doctor will be able to set you on a course to a full recovery. We'll be thinking of you!

Thanks, Laurie and Elaine, yes, sometimes it pays off to be the b*tch that won't stop complaining! I have confidence in my own doctor, but without her, I have little faith in the medical community, since they so easily dismiss any complaint. After I see the ortho guy, I may write a letter to DCL...the doctors on the ship were *very* dismissive of my complaints. I clearly told them that I thought I'd broken my arm when I slipped. Their discharge orders say the diagnosis is a "possible contusion." And the last thing they told me was I didn't need to wear the sling (that they charged me $10.82 for).

Sorry to learn of your continuing issues with the arm Beth. WHo would have figured? I guess maybe I'm too optimistic a sort. At any rate, I hope you realize some meaningful improvement sooner than later.

Believe it or not, I'm an optimist, too! But even an optimist has an inkling when things aren't right...and pain that doesn't go away is a good indication that all is not right.

I sure enjoyed meeting you and your lovely wife and adorable children. Had a great afternoon at the beach in Antigua with you all. Your Julianna is a fish! Hope to cruise with you again in the future.

Beth, Our thoughts are with ya, I too understand shoulder pain and can relate, hang in there it will get better. Yes those MRI's are a negative 20 on a 1-10 scale.

Life is moving fast here. will try to keep up.

So finally got home and unpacked after a week in Florida. Thanks to everyone who made the cruise so fantastic! Can't believe its all over now. Loving the pics on here though. Brings back so many memories
