Didn't you get upgraded from a Cat 12 ot a Cat 11? You should always book the room Cat that you are comfortable with and not expect Disney to just give away upgrades. I know upgrades happen but don't be upset when it doesn't.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Yeah ...
... I kno... we've had a number of sailings and we did get the 11. Saved some cash and are happy about that. And I'm not upset - just wondering if there was wiggle room for anything more. Being a quad - and CC repeat patron I ran a poll and surveyed the results (several MATH ALERTS). It seems that when you are CC the odds of getting a better assignment off a guarantee is LOWER then if we were 1st time patrons. And I sort of looked on an 11 assignment as the minimum we could have received since we were a quad cabin. SO - in a way I'm not surprised and in another way I was hoping for a little bit more...
like a real upgrade above the minimum for a quad - like a 10. It really does not matter in the end though. We got our relief bands, spare batteries and our bags are about 90% packed. Almost everything is set except I'm waiting for some more stuff to come in with fedEX or UPS. My birth certificate arrived yesterday and things are cool.
We've never booked a guarantee catagory before in all of our past sailings. So - this was a bit of an
experiment. We were prepared for a 12 until we noted they had no quad 12s. Then we figured there was a small chance for an 8 -9 or 10.
An 11 was the minimum we could have expected - and as the minimum I was neutral with getting it.
On the other hand... we're good to go! Besides - our assigned cabin is right next to some other great DIS folks - "Lets' GO Steelers" so we are looking forward to bangin' on the walls and raisin' a ruckus all through the nite! LOL! OK...
maybe NOT. But it is nice to have DIS neighbors who happen to hail from Southern Califonria. In fact, before we knew they were neighbors we had offerred them spare concert tickets we had for Jazz at the Hollywood Bowl - but they could not make use of them. It was for Al Jarreau and George Benson... I ended up taking my parents with some of the spare tix and I sold the rest on Ebay. So after they declined the tix offer from us we later found we were assigned a cabin adjacent to them. What a coincidence. Or... maybe I'm mixedup and I offerred my spare tix to Kpros who is closer to us in Ventura ~ right? I vaguely recall I offerred our spare tix to the few on the DIS who were from our region.
And yes... I am aware I have A-Rententive tendencies in my writing.... I am what I am...
Anyways.... that's it!.....
