Hi. Yes I'm still going on this cruise. I'm sooooo excited. I Can't wait even though I had just got back from the Disney Magic like last week. I'm sure that there will be some teens on board. Hopefully both your sons age and mine. Since I know its hard for college and High School kids to take off. Except when it comes to my High School since we NEVER learned anything. :rotfl: (got to love the Philadelphia School District) Thats ashame PIT wont let her 17 year old come along.
He's 16, dd is 19. I WISH he could come!!!!!!! He just can't miss that much school. Believe me he is just as dissapointed as we are that he is not going. But if you can talk your mam into booking the Sept 1-7 Magic for next year he'll be on that one! You'll have fun, I'm sure there will be plenty of people your age on board. If not use it as your time to do things with your mam. I'd give anything to go on a cruise with my mom! :goodvibes

Good Morning everyone! Looks a bit gloomy out here right now, report says only to go to 65 today. I don't like shopping in the rain but what's a girl to do??

PIT - the dog we just lost was a chihuahua. Male - HUGE attitude and very protective. But, we all really miss him, even with his faults. We have been talking about another dog and we will but no puppies for us as it is too hard when the last one out of house on a weekday is 7:15AM and then the first one home is 5:30. Heck, that might be too much for a dog! We will check out the Humane Society and see what we see, or go down the greyhound path again.
I have spent time with friends chihuahua's and noticed that they are kind of protective. I think we will focus more on a dog after this cruise. I have been looking online for a dog for about 6 months now. :cheer2: You can adopt a greyhound not far from me in Alabama. We have a greyhound track (which I picketed for cruelty to animals when I was in high school :goodvibes ) They were treating the animals horribly and because of our picketing outside their door every open night the finally fired the head of the track and hired on vets and a new guy who halfway cared about the animals I guess. We were the group that started the greyhound adoption program there. :thumbsup2 Beautiful animals.

Hey y'all - late night for me again. I second or third or whatever the sentiment of where's everybody. Must be the holiday weekend. We went to pin trading night at DLR and there were almost no regulars there. It was scary - loaded up on some new lanyards though - hope this time I do something with them. :teeth: I usually place them on my boards and admire them. Except this time, maybe I'll bring them to WDW w/us.

PIT - I used to live in Compton for the 1st 10 yrs of my life. Off of Willowbrook and Rosecrans. Each weekend night starting Friday was a designated "race" night and my father would lock us in starting at 6:30 pm. I lived there from '66-'76. I once took my DH to 'visit' my old stomping ground and he couldn't take it - he flipped out and only made it as far as the railroad tracks. :rotfl: I got a good laugh out of that. However, as you said during the day it isn't bad and I did jury duty there in June - they have actually cleaned up the place - I was impressed - for Compton that is.

CC - we also have no plans this weekend, must be because we're sailing in about 2 weeks time - couldn't quite justify another weekend in Vegas. That and I didn't want to take a chance on losing everyone's gifts. :lmao:

Anyway, dropped off my 2 babies at the Country club and made sure that they are having their yappy hour each night with other spoiled pooches along with their private play time and ice cream. Ive felt so bad for them because I usually play with them each day but because of the surgery and recovery time, didn't want to jeopardize myself. I told myself that they will be ok - at least they will have others to play with - that and my Isis is in heat and for some strange reason (I have no idea why - :rolleyes1 ) she gets rather moody and depressed - I swear sometimes acts more human than I do. That's ok - she fits right in. :rotfl2:

PIT - had to laugh at a somewhat similar situation, we're merging onto the fwy when DH rolled the window down (one of the dogs broke wind) and Isis ran to the window and stuck her head out - while I'm reaching back to make sure she's buckled in - I was able to witness the driver next to us almost swerve and hit the car next to them when this wolf-like head pops out of the window. I just saw his hand go to his chest and burst out laughing. Guess he'll think twice next time he decides not to let us in as we're merging. :lmao: It's moments like that that make me laugh.

Oh well - time for another post as I have TONS to catch up to CC
The funny part about Compton is that the HAVE cleaned it up and it DOES look better during the day, but at night IT"S SCARY! I do have to admit that Watts is MUCH worse though.

Funny dog story. :lmao: :lmao: The idea of a dog "breaking wind" just cracked me up this morning for some reason :rotfl:

Hey all! Sorry I haven't contributed much lately. Yesterday was my 30th birthday ( :sad2: )...my mom thought it would be hilarious to buy everything that had 30 on it at the party store and put it all over my house :furious: oh well...I'll survivie...lol The place where I bought the pins just got the contract for Home Depot (you can image how many pins that is?) So I won't get the pins until the 8th and will just carry them on. I can't believe we sail THIS MONTH!!
Cathy, Happy late Birthday....Oh to be 30 again! :goodvibes :goodvibes

A greyhound would be perfect for your truck....don't they sleep like 20 hours a day? :cloud9:

I think I will be in port the day before you get off, and aren't you guys in port overnight before you have to get off? We should all have dinner...I wonder if you could smuggle me on for dinner there? :confused3 Probably not with security...maybe if I show my lanyard? :lmao:

Yes, especially the older retired ones but they are a little too big for a truck imho. Our truck has limited floor space and a very small dog could be quite comfy but a bigger one not so much. :thumbsup2

Hey Elaine,

I think your mom had better make those care packages big enough to share. It sounds like once they are opened everyone is going to have try one. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :lmao: :lmao:

That would be super, super fun- then I could see Georgie and everyone else who is not going on this cruise, but is going on that cruise. I will need company, especially since I will be travelling without my family...
