Hello all! It was 32 degrees last night in Wyoming! I AM NOT ready for snow OR cold weather yet.

I have lost 19lbs so far (in 3 weeks)! Clothes should fit just fine!

I'm debating on an a little nap right now. We are meeting friends for dinner in Sacramento and will probley stay up pretty late tonight with them

Just checking in with everyone this afternoon.
No family gathering this weekend Lamar and Dad are loading up the shed. We signed a renovation contract for our house this morning, so Lamar and Dad are moving into the Carpenter house until completion. I guess the "kids" will be staying back and forth when they come home on the weekends. Construction/demolition starts this Wednesday. Nothing too big but enough to disrupt my DFIL to the point of removing him from the house is best for him. He is still familiar with the Carpenter house as we get together there amost every weekend. I hope that if and when my mind goes my family is still around.

Celeste, the manatees are a big part of why we have never considered selling the Carpenter house. They are the only good thing about cold weather here. Definately on my top ten outdoor experiences list.

Looking forward to meeting many of you and relaxing. We all seem to have pretty busy lives. Every year I think this is going to be the slow easy one. It hasn't happened yet. My child is grown, my career is slowed and I'm still on Mr. Toad's Wild ride. That's why we come to this "Wonder"ful place in the middle of the ocean - DCL.

Give me the name of your doctor or nurse so I can bill them for diabetic education...

DKA= Diabetic Ketoacidosis. This fun condition usually gets you an admission into the ICU. Had many patients with this in Wisconsin when I worked in the general ICU. Before I became specialized!! Blood sugars greater than 300 and less than 750. People are usually dehydrated and in a stupor....sometimes others believe they are drunk because they act funny and have fruity breath. Type 1 diabetics usually get this in their youth and type 2 get it when they are undiagnosed, don't take their meds, or have additional stress/trauma in their lives.Learn my padowan

Bolus- some people will give themselves a little extra insulin before meals where they know they are going to consume a large amount of carbohydrates. (or sugar, which is a carb) Don't do this if your physician hasn't taught you how. Should you need a shot- I'll be more than happy to give it to you.

I love to snorkel...I'm buoyant so it is super, super easy. I think I'm going snorkeling at every place except one. Bring my own gear & everything. Robb even insisted that we buy our own yellow vests.
