Not a Parrothead (although I do like JB), but I know the answer -- John Hyatt, and yes I like his music.

Trying to keep up, but having a garage sale this weekend, so busy, busy.

Magnetic message boards are late and I am getting worried.

No docs yet and no AP discount, not combinable with TA discount.

Considering cancelling May repo cruise and rebooking onboard.

Beth
I would !!!

They are going to have so many rebooks from this group

We are doing it for 3 cabins on 2 different cruises !!
Why go with out !! :wizard:

Ok so here is a question for discussion……

As some of our travels require us to travel very light, what are some souvenirs you procure when restricted. We did pins for a while, then for me I have collected patches from various places, small and light. Then when I get home I go to Walmart and buy a cheap ball cap and have Lynn sew it on. Got a hat for about $6-8 rather than the $15-20.

Anyone have other ideas to share.

We love coasters from different bars we visit.

Hi All,
Can you tell me what items you have shipped in the past? Have any of you shipped wine?
Look forward to reading your responses.

Before the Panama cruise we shipped the stateroom gifts to share, wine, vodka, scotch. Anything we knew we were not bringing back home with us.

For the alcohol...we used lots of bubble wrap, then put the bubble wrapped bottles inside ziploc bags, just in case they broke. Nothing broke, everything arrived perfectly and was in our stateroom when we arrived at 1:30.

Well folks, I hope you all have a FANTASTIC time. I can't wait to read the trip reports (anyone filing live?) as I want to hearabout all the great ports you are hitting. We are people who love Maui and St. Lucia looks like the closest place we could go that seems to have the same geography. So we are curious to hear about the island, the people, etc. Thanks in advance and Happy Cruising.

Yesterday I decided I had to figure out where to stay after the cruise, I was going to stay at the Dolphin/Swan, but I have read too many not so good reviews about them lately. :guilty:

The search was on..... Yesterday I found a 2br/2ba condo in "Cypress Pointe" for $89 Thursday, $99 Fri-Sat per night. :cool1: The resort reviews are great, on the dis reviews and tripadvisor. One point people were stressing is that it was "Clean"! Something you don't usually find in Orlando at this price point, it really does pay to go off-season. I have never stayed there but I really follow reviews, so if anyone is interested here is the website.
http://www.cypress-pointe.com/ ;)

I wanted lots of room so we could all stretch out and relax....we are so tired when we get off the ship!! :cloud9:

wow Good for you sounds like a great deal !!

Peter, Anytime you get too much hassle from those people down on deck 7 we can always make room on our verandah for you and we have plenty of spirits :rotfl2: :goodvibes LOL

Thank you very much :teeth:
Between You and JMS

Elaine send me a photo

I will List it For You :goodvibes
Might as well have some spending money for the Cruise !!! :teeth:

Peter...thanks for the offer but we have already made arrangements for it to go to refrigerator heaven.....I think we got our money's worth out of it...$400 / 42 years = $9.52 year!!!!! Here in Canada they are trying to get you to replace any refrigerator older than 10 years.

I also found it pays to do research on the web....the online price was $60 cheaper than the retail price in the store....because I had printed out the info on the fridge I wanted...they honoured the online price...woo hoo!!!!

:cheer2: :cheer2: Thank you Linda & Robert!! :cheer2: :cheer2:

I am suppose to be at work and I too didn't sleep last night. I got an entire 3 hours and so I called into work & cancelled myself for today. I think I'm getting vacationitis. I can hardly stand it.

Elaine you should atleast & try to ebay the fridge.

PIT- Congrats for your son !!

Happy belated B-Day Michael!!!

I may try & download skype today...so I can be one of the cool kids. :smooth: :lmao:

Tracy are you going on a cruise before this one??? :goodvibes :goodvibes I seem to recall Leslie reacting to your plans. :rotfl: :rotfl: I just hope you guys get rested up on the first cruise cuz the second one will be pretty darn full of fun activities. :teeth: :teeth:

Rainy day here will be a movie day I think, starting with “Hatari” one of my favorites.

PINS?? Did somebody mention PINS?? Yes, I have a few thousand or so... and they were light, inexpensive souvenirs until that Giant JUMBO REPO CRUISE thing came along.... :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
I like patches too Scott.. have tons of them but don't know what to do with them!!! Thought about a corkboard kind of thing but I am running out of wall space.
We've been buying decks of cards on most trips too. We play cards usually at least once every week or two with friends and using all the different decks over time reminds us of our travels. I always like to buy a Christmas ornament from the places too and do a "travel tree"

This weekend I hope to do a little more shopping for this cruise. I need to make door magnets, buy a wine box for shipping, start packing, finish our gifts. UGH! There are not enough hours in the day!! :confused3 First, I have to finish the slide show dvd's for my grandmother's 90th birthday party we are attending in Illinois over Labor Day!

Good Afternoon Everyone.

This will not do! Tracy you are posting way too much! :rotfl2:
That's OK, I will catch her while she's on the western cruise.
(surely she would not waste valuable cruise time posting :lmao: )

Later.

Got to see Kpros and Spros (or is that Spros and Kpros) last night on our way up to Monterey.      More than makes up for a lack of documents! 3 weeks and counting!

Got to Monterey just after midnight, and woke up at 6am to the screeching of seagulls. I so badly wanted to grab the shotgun and some bird shot... All I wanted was to sleep in. Oh well....

Tony, are you going to any of the wineries up there? There is one down by the fisherman's wharf are that makes a late Harvest Symphony. I absolutely love that

Tink :p

First time out of Florida we arrive at the Maine turnpike and see a sign that says FROST HEAVE when we get to a Toll Booth Lamar asks the attandant. "What's a frost heave?" Never did get an answer. I guess this is what you might call a FROST HEAVE
