it is 9 am now and actually very nice outside. The sun is shining and not a wind at all outside.

But I did go outside and put the lawn furniture out of harms way. Just waiting to see what happens next now. All the gas stations are packed. Glad I didn't have to worry about that. Ran the generator a while yesterday and that is working great - I can do that myself now also.

Cheryl is on the west end of town, I think, and Leslie is on the n.w. end of town and I'm on the east end of town. So we are in a big triangle with each other :rotfl: we have all the corners covered

All of you stay safe today!

Just an update on my post yesterday regarding our cabin pricing. TA called last night and when they priced it, it was higher so must be I errored yesterday when I was playing around, I don't really think so but that is the only logical answer. I didn't bother to print out the quote generated (silly me) so I have no proof. Maybe I tried with the 10 day instead of the 11. Oh well.

Have a good day everyone - and enjoy those birthdays!

If you do go to the police station to report it...all I can say is to ask for a private room....last Christmas my Mom found a purse in the local mall and turned it in to the nearest police station (didn't trust mall security - teenagers)...we didn't ask to go to a separate room and there were teenagers nearby. The lady officer counted the money in front of us ($180) and told my Mom if in 90 days no one claimed it, it would be hers.....well wouldn't you know it...a young girl came into the police station not 3 hours later and claimed the money...the police said she described the purse exactly ...of course they left it sitting on the counter and how much money was in the purse...duh...they announced it to my Mom. I know it was the teenagers because this was not the type of purse any teenage girl would be caught dead carrying....oh well...I told my Mom she did the right thing...I'll just know better, if there is a next time.

Two things - 1) sorry to hear about your Mom's situation and to the real person who lost the purse and 2) Karma to the teenager who did that!

And, shame on the office for handling it that way. My DH just handled a situation like this for someone. They just got their $1800 (and change) back from turning it in. This money was actually in a box... :confused3

What?

Is that all? ... I thought there were 875 staterooms on the Wonder and this is just 37 cabins (4.2%)? I also thought we had about 270+ people among our DIS crowd... so that's 270 of a potential total of 1754 as a registry max... meaning the DIS represent a minimum of 15.4% of the passengers! SO... this suggests we are MISSING up to 11.2% of the 15.4% max... or, put another way it implies we are missing 72% of the DIS for this fun event??? .... OK ... so ya gotta get around the ship to move the tag thingies... but it does add to the mayhem if YOU sign up (if you're not already signed up)...

Can we get just another 13 souls to step forward and volunteer to join the fun - and round this out to 50 cabins? :confused3 WHo's next... don't be shy ... come along now...

What do you experienced divers think of those "learn to dive in one day and we take you down to 20-40 ft trips"? Are they safe, what type of fitness level do you need to be in? etc. They have one in St kitts and I was considering it for myself and DS17.....

Ivan, remind me later, and I will try to remember, and I will get ya additional information, don't have it here with me right now. :thumbsup2

She is my twin, but my embryo was frozen so we have different birthdays :teeth: She's just a teensy bit older than me :goodvibes

After earning her PhD in Forensic Psychology, Leslie has said numberous times she wished she had gone to medical school instead. She also has a Bachelors degree in Biology and thinks it would have kept her more interested in her work. However, with the girls, her career path now is more suitable for what she wants in life right at this time. One day, I believe she will go back to the forensic side - did an internship with the FBI and the NSA back in DC. Really enjoyed it.

I can see the lure of medical school, but much like your wife- it wouldn't work for me. My parents always tell me that I will never be happy until I am an MD, but I tell them being an MD would bring me a lot of unhappiness along the way. It is already hard for Robb having to deal with my schedule. (MD would probably equal divorce.) School and working 2 jobs leaves little time for family & house work. I always laugh because my schedule is much, much busier than his- but the majority of the house work falls on me. Therefore, I always ask people to call before coming over- so I can make sure the house is presentable.

It is very hard to be a good mother and wife and still be a career woman. I don't make enough to hire people to clean and care for my children full time- nor would I want that.

I should talk to your wife over the cruise- I think forensic psychology is very interesting....psychology itself, well don't ask me about my psych rotations. There is a reason I am not a psych nurse. (I have little sympathy for adults with poor coping skills.)

Plus being a doctor today is not what it used to be. There still is the respect and the public "wow" factor of being an MD, but the debt associated with it and the changing ways of healthcare. I love being a nurse and love spending time with patients. Physicians don't get to care for patients, they tell people how to care for them. I believe becoming a nurse practitioner will allow me the best of both worlds....management of a patient, while still being able to provide the love/care factor.

Ok what is TAG?

Dan

A game...

... just like the kids play but we'll be moving a set of "things" physically around he ship among the participating cabins. I am NOT the organizer but it sounds like a pleasant diversion that should get me some exercise (as if I need it having 2 young kids to chase).

The rules final remain a mystery - and I think you cannot repeat a cabin that has had a particular marker until every cabin has been tagged. Then it repeats.

I think the reward is a box of crisp $20s in a cube 32x15x20" in size. $1,000,000 more or less... but I have been know to be mistaken about these sort of details from time to time.

Always seek independent counsel before committing to these sort of things...

Well... we need more data to even begin - naturally the background references are ZEROes. SO - I believe you're on your own ... for now.

:sad2: I am so disappointed. :sad2:

Deductive reasoning....It's not like we need a p value for this.

I'll behave and not try & figure out who it is.

Mike- I LOVE that bird! I would like to get a parrot some day....

Lauire- Thanks!
