Oh, yea, they turned it in TO THEIR BANK! :lmao: They live on a pretty secluded street and asked their neighbors if any of them had lost a large sum of $$$ and all of them said no :confused3 Finders Keepers ya know! I'm sure if someone comes to them and identifies lost $$$ amount they will turn it over, I would, but for right now they are just gonna keep it! Tom said that the way the money was rolled up and the fact that it was $1400 in ratty 100 dollar bills tels him it was most likely drug $$$ or money from some other illegal act. He said if it had been in a bank envelope he would've gone to the bank but no bank envelope :confused3 Would you turn it in? :listen: :)
I would tell my hubby (Hillsborough Co. Deputy) to see if there had been a report of a robbery of any kind and let them know that it had been found and go through the wait to keep the guilt off my back (just in case).

I called my DH on this after all, and he advised that in the state of FL 1) It is not illegal per say to keep it, but if you want the money guilt free then... 2) You can take it in to your nearest Sheriff's office or Police station and they will impound the money for 90 days and if no one claims the money (they would have to prove that the money is theirs) then it would go back to the person who found it - free and clear.

But, by what you described I would say that most likely it is drug money! And, I guarantee they won't be calling the police to report their lost funds! :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

Good evening cruisers!! :wizard:
Geez, I get home from work and Joe has the house battened down and shuttered like he's expecting a Cat 5.... and I don't mean stateroom!! :rotfl2:
They were actually FINALLY supposed to start my roof this morning... you know.. the one that's been damaged and leaking since WILMA??? Well of course they didn't show up! Guess I should be okay with that, considering I would not want to go thru Ernesto with no roof at all!! :rotfl:
So we are under a Tropical Storm Warning and a Hurricane Watch... what ever! Guess the drink of the day is a HURRICANE!! :lmao:

Stay safe, Leslie! - it seems like we are in clear here in the Tampa Bay! And, did I see mention that it is your Birthday. I am still getting caught up, but... pixiedust: :bday: :bday: :bday: :rainbow:

If you do go to the police station to report it...all I can say is to ask for a private room....last Christmas my Mom found a purse in the local mall and turned it in to the nearest police station (didn't trust mall security - teenagers)...we didn't ask to go to a separate room and there were teenagers nearby. The lady officer counted the money in front of us ($180) and told my Mom if in 90 days no one claimed it, it would be hers.....well wouldn't you know it...a young girl came into the police station not 3 hours later and claimed the money...the police said she described the purse exactly ...of course they left it sitting on the counter and how much money was in the purse...duh...they announced it to my Mom. I know it was the teenagers because this was not the type of purse any teenage girl would be caught dead carrying....oh well...I told my Mom she did the right thing...I'll just know better, if there is a next time.

Linda basically a note telling you that registered on line and need to print, bring and sign those documents. A check list telling you how to get through MCO, and bag tags, and the Bahamian Customs form.

We got our Docs. yesterday!!!!

We filled out the info. on line and the package still had all the forms for us to fill out...didn't see the note to print them out. But, of course that is the plan. Knowing me, I will probably still fill out the forms in the doc. packet just to make sure... I don't know what happened there...maybe I better check on line to make sure everything is AOK!

Twin, are you really up this early?? Sorry, but I don't think I wished hard enough, so it looks like you'll be going to work today :guilty:

It might depend when you entered it online. If it was after the documents were printed, that could explain it.

Also, I reprinted my online documents because we changed rooms (not a free upgrade) so I wanted to make sure I had the correct cabin number.
